Here for 3 years now with no issues other than a bully mentality the staff often provides when you need help but that's expected by now (aware this is backwards) you risk eviction. Isn't EVEN an issue compared to being placed into a lot# that gets directly attacked by a ARMY of rats the auto shop generously provides that's connected to this land during winter because they are in need of shelter. I report it and they attempted to stop it with bate stations. I hired my OWN pest control with absolutely no chance like you against a thousand rats with Chuck the Manager telling you to plug more holes and if you keep bringing attention to this matter you'll be evicted, mom was explained the same. Chuck believes I can't handle business (that guy is so close to being senile if he TRULY thinks this) typical response when you give him all the reasons he is wrong. Only this lot# because it's one trash can the rats occupy directly from the shop to the trash can and then they go to the nearest shelter, which is unfortunately MY place like a sacrificial lamb for the rest of the Park others nearby are at risk as well. Why now I don't know? Complained for 8 1/2 months explaining I would rather live in a homeless shelter (still paying rent btw) other times checking myself into the psyche hospital going crazy hearing rats in my walls and watching my trailer get demolished daily. If you're thinking, why didn't he just switch lot# I tried Chuck said I would be taking the rats the park itself gave to another lot (I know it's SO FRUSTRATING!). Changing parks would be a huge problem for I rely only on myself with disability and no help. 8 1/2 months later with 20+holes an unbelievably huge ARMY of rats taking OVER half of my fifth wheel (probably most of my faith in humanity, for SURE Chuck/OWNERS!) moving here to this PARK I've lost my housing, sanity, health, and now I guess Chuck is going for my SOUL as he has no ANSWERS for my trailer HE himself, this PARK along with an ARMY OF RATS occupying the auto shop DESTROYED with no insurance. Just got the trailer and immediately moved in that spot the next day! NOW I'm listening to him NOW tell me I must move because WELL THE TRAILER IS DONE... (ALL RATS... I LOST OBVIOUSLY, ITS COMPROMISED) while timidly trying to (GASLIGHT) me into thinking this is ALL my fault. Tossing me UNDER the bus so he looks good with Corporate other than doing the RIGHT THING (what is he gonna say to corporate I messed up!). Btw Corporate/Chuck and the Owners do nothing to help! It's all about business for THEM. I LOST what was supposed to be a trailer for the next 20 years in 8 1/2 months. Enjoy the "SUNNY SIDE" I must've took a wrong turn (PORTAL TO HELL). Where's that lady that corrects these complaints and tries to somehow convince you it is the tenants problem always to the reader? Good luck on that one lady let's see you make sense outta this?!? Another day in HELL staying outside as much as possible for the aroma of dead rats is overwhelming my trailer contemplating how a cat would've been better than my toy fox terrier right now (concerned with VET BILLS when RATS are eating my dogs food). Beginning to believe this is biblical myself being David with this whole Organization combined with Chuck being Goliath. In NO way do I think this was planned but the PARK along with Chuck couldn't do MORE to try to DESTROY one person I don't get it! Chuck says I can't handle my problems with securing the trailer from rats, OK that's fine! Why am I spending all my time over here in this lot# doing all of this anyway? Can I just move and try to ENJOY my stay when did I sign up for a bootcamp on how to stop an INVASION OF RATS? Chuck is worse than a slum lord because at least they devalue their property, you suffer than leave. In this case HE devalues their property destroying your housing then subtly tries to blame it on YOU while simultaneously kicking you out! Dear god it's raining RIGHT NOW and they (RATS) are just chilling eating my food right in front of me. Therapy is NOW on my list of things to do as well. Owners told me they treat people how they want to be treated. Did you lose your housing? Watch it get destroyed in front of you for 8 1/2 months? Told you are a liar for calling out the RATS! Sent into circles with corporate? Then kicked out on the streets with nothing?!? NO! THIS "RESORT" HAS DONE EVERYTHING BUT KILL ME AND WHO KNOWS 8 1/2 MONTHS OF INHALING RAT SHIT MIGHT PULL THAT OFF TOO ALONG WITH THE DOG. BIGGEST NIGHTMARE OTHER THAN IMAGINING YOUR GOING TO HELL. IN FACT THIS RIGHT HERE IS GREAT PREPARATION FOR IN CASE YOU DO. LOST EVERYTHING.... Whether it's them LYING about the RATS invading your trailer at lot# 17 (surrounding areas) and not letting you transfer to another. Turning the community against you for speaking up! Our experience with this RV park was extremely disappointing. We reached out about staying for one to two months with our 35‑foot motorhome and our pets (one dog and two cats). Instead of a welcoming response, we were told: "Get a smaller RV and less pets." This was not only rude, but dismissive of the RV lifestyle itself. A 35‑foot rig is standard, and pets are part of many travelers' families. For a park to suggest we change our home and give up our companions just to fit their narrow idea of who belongs is unacceptable. RV parks should provide space and hospitality, not judgment. If you value respect, inclusivity, and customer service, this is not the place to stay. We will not be recommending it to fellow travelers. read more

Front office staff are SO RUDE! I called to book a stay and a lady was condescending and dismissive. I called to renew for another month and they act like they're doing me a huge favor! Audibly sighing and putting me on hold for 30 minutes. I went to the gym and a lady with long grey hair yelled at me for "slamming weights" I apologized sincerely and explained I didn't think I was. She rolled her eyes at me and said "yeah you definitely were" The one star is for the staff alone. The park is awesome and has great amenities. Pretty pricey for a single night ($90-ish with tax). Inconvenient to access (1.3mi u-turn if approaching from north, southbound) maybe because of construction but also maybe the roads are just like that? Clean and organized but very loud. Very clear instructions for entering after hours, but the exit gate stayed open all night so not as secure as we expected. No vending machines or anything to buy essentials after hours so we walked to a local convenience store and the community felt a bit sketchy, especially at night. Washers cost $2 per load, bathhouse has about a dozen individual toilet + shower stalls. It smelled terrible but looked clean. Didn't use pool, fitness center, or dog park but they look great. Could be a good choice if you care about being near the city and some extra amenities. read more

We travel extensively and this was one of our favorite extended stays! Austin Lone Star RV Community is a very well managed property. Mary, Chuck, and their entire team are very professional, thoughtful, and friendly. The hard work they do to provide a pristine environment is easy to see, and I love that they encourage community activities. The property is beautifully lined with oak trees and very well maintained. Everyone we met in the community was very nice and we made many wonderful friends. The amenities suited all of our needs, including the bathhouse, laundry room, & community center. Really enjoying our stay here. We brought our RV, but also rented 1 of their cabins which is technically a park model RV. Located conveniently in central Austin with a with a few things that are walking distance. You're right in the heart of the city but it doesn't exactly feel like it once you're in the park due to all the trees, And despite being right next to I-35 it was surprisingly quiet. A pool and a playground complete the place, and the price is great. Will definitely be back! They are part of the Sun RV Resort family, and we've stayed at other locations of that company many times and always had a great experience. read more

Wish I could give more stars. While waiting for a new house to be built, we spent for six months staying here. Front staff, location, place itself...everything was perfect. We've traveled all over the country RVing and stayed at so many RV parks but this is one of the most well-maintained parks (if not the best). They constantly keep this place clean and beautiful. It's quiet and safe and people staying here are all nice and welcoming. It's also so conveniently located right in the middle of town. The location of the Rv park is horrible due to it being along side of I-35 and being on a one way road under construction. Other than that you're about 15 minutes from downtown. The laundromat is small in comparison to the park and always smells like wet dog in there. Was unfortunately placed in a spot across the managers home where I was constantly being bird-dogged. The manager (Mary) always seemed to have some kind of attitude with her employees and could be heard yelling at them in front of customers when I would go check my mail in the office. Other than that the other employees were very nice and helpful. I travel all over the state for work and can definitely say I would never come back to this place. read more

Well our stay here has come to an end and it's on to San Antonio. This RV park was a nice spot. It was clean, nice people staying here and the park staff was also very.nice and helpful. The spot we were in was gravel but it fit our RV and trailer. No sweat. I do wish the roadways were about 3 feet wider and that campers had a little more room at their sites to park their vehicle(s). But no biggie. It works. The park has a nice pool and is close to all of Austin. Next time we are in Austin with our RV, we will stay here. read more

RV park conveniently located near downtown Austin by Uber. I came here for work and found this place awesome for my family to hang out, using the pool, gym, playing ping pong, billiard and chess while I'm in downtown for meetings. When back, the Bath House has 9 beautiful and well-maintained, private shower rooms. The fenced dog park gives my pup a chance to stretch in legs while my kids play at the playground nearby. While the sites are not paved, I found the gravel to be quite serviceable for the sites (ie. not muddy). I wonder how that would fare in the rainy months though ? Meanwhile, the BEST thing about this place has gotta be the friendly, helpful staff. Husband needed to print a contract while we were here and they have a business center. I needed to go buy some cowboy boots for a themed meeting, and it wasn't possible with Uber within the timeframe I had. Mary, the GM here, lent me a brand new pair of boots that she just happened to have in my size, as well as the cool western shirt that she made. TEXAS HOSPITALITY AT ITS BEST. We are in our 3rd month staying here in our 36' class A, and we really like it. It 's lovely to be so close to the city. We are in the back section which is quiet, has large lots and plenty of tree coverage. The staff is all very nice and helpful with the exception of one sour puss in a red cart. Hopefully he won't be the one to lead you into the park, because he seems to the be only one here who doesn't have any customer service skills. There's a lot of activities happening up in the back room/kitchen area of the office after hours. Live music, food, happy hour, etc. I have yet to attend any of these, but I hear good things from my neighbors. The office also has a workout room, and a small store and mail center. The pool looks great, but again, I've never used it. We had to put the coach in the shop for a few days and we stayed in one of the cabins in the front of the park. This is a former KOA, and the cabins are the same. It was very clean and made it easy on us to just move in for a few days (cheaper than a hotel). There is a large bath house accessible to the cabins as well as the shorter term RV spots. The bath house is pretty cool in that all of the bathrooms are private and the showers are very nice and clean. As long as there is space here, we'll be back every year we come home to Austin. We've stayed at most of the other parks in the area. The price is higher, but the convenience of being in town at a *nice* park can't be beat. read more

Have stayed in this park a few times, but not anymore. Our normal park in Austin was full on the day after Thanksgiving and we needed an RV site for one night. It was bad enough that they charged us $110, could have gotten a hotel for that price. Their amenities are ok, but not great. The pads are not concrete and not all that level. However, the real kicker was the "robocop" security guards. We got back to the park late after attending the UT football game and my husband went over to use the restroom in the bathhouse, which has a combination on the door. While he was in the facilities, suddenly someone pounded loudly on his door and rudely yelled "security! My husband responded "occupied", she pounded again and it sounded like she was asking for someone by name. She rudely pounded on the door a third time and my husband came out of the bathroom, thinking maybe the building was in fire. A security guard named Kim rudely asked for him to identify his campsite number because they supposedly have problems with homeless people coming in the bathhouse. My husband was wearing a UT polo shirt and most obviously was not a homeless person. However, no person, homeless or otherwise, deserved to be treated this rudely, and especially not a paying guest! My husband told that she was rude and had a bad attitude and her response was "there are cameras and police out there." So what?!!! Needless to say, we won't be back. read more

Oh wow, where to begin? Are you missing some "fake nice" in your life? If so, you can find tons of it here! The old hens in the office are a total throwback to high school. Gossip. Drama. You name it. Be prepared to give these women permission for a full background check using your SSN# at check-in. This didn't make me feel safe, it made me feel creeped out. Every morning the traffic on the access road (the only way out of the park) backs up as far as the eye can see, and it just craaawls. Getting to the northbound on-ramp in the morning can take upwards of twenty minutes. At peak times and often entirely random times it can take over thirty mins just to get home from the off ramp. This is obviously not the fault of the park, just something you should consider. The onsite roads were probably paved in the 80s, and it shows. If I was driving one of these million dollar rigs I would be totally insulted! Don't get me started on the random half hazard speed bumps, if those weren't molded by a drunk person they need to go back and pay double the price, because the effect was expertly achieved! There is one restroom to serve the entire back portion of the park. The second of only two stalls features a sign: "closed until further notice" and it's been this way for ages, (it's literally boarded shut lol) Actually, this is probably for the best, the shower water in there fluctuated wildly from scalding to ice and the cheap white shower curitn was always covered in patches of furry black mold. By the way, shower shoes are a must at all times, don't let anything other than the souls of your flip flops touch this floor, wet or dry. Yuck. I could seriously go on. Unless all this, (plus the piercing song of police sirens, drag racing teenagers and the soft red glow of the Adult Video Megaplexx next door) doesn't bother you, come right on in, it's only the most expensive place in town. Lower part is sloped and on gravel, better get ready for some leveling. the gravel was washed by a rain storm so we had a little river with a pool under our trailer . very bad wifi services, no cable TV, so why say you have it? Terrible experience at this RV Resort Very rude and argumentative office staff. Unprofessional and horrible attitudes. Especially Mary. The system for billing is a mess, so they will give you wrong amounts due. Jumps to accusations about bills and what is due when she is wrong and then does not admit any wrongs or apologize. The laundry is terrible here. Constantly breaking down. Washers don't ring out clothes half the time, dryers don't dry clothes properly as well in my experience. Always full and So busy you end up having to go to a laundromat. People will take your clothes out of the dryer or washer and put it in a cart to put their stuff in. Extremely rude and inconsiderate people. The bathrooms/showers, many are also constantly out of service. Issues with water lines will randomly have water shut off for hours during the day. Some people that come through the park with backpacks seem like they could be transients. The park is older and just is not that nice for the price. The park is extremely hilly and curvy. So having big rigs beware. Many sites are very crooked, slanted, on hills, and uneven. Never felt very comfortable, safe or relaxed in this park. It is also a pricey park Plan on paying 844$ and up for a site plus electric! I'd highly recommend choosing a different park to stay at. read more

From the time I made my Reservation to the time I checked out it was awesome! Mary at the front desk was wonderful. She had a lot of information for us to do around town. The sites were big and the park was very clean. Easy access on off freeway . I had a convention downtown and it was about 5 miles from there. My husband dropped me off everyday then picked me up. It was super easy for him. He took the side street in stead of the freeway a lot faster! We were there for a week. San Antonio was fairly close about an hour away. But worth the drive! Also the Magnolia Markets were about hour and half away but well worth the day! You will be very happy with your stay it is a quiet place it does have a pool! read more

We like this resort best because of its location close to city and my daughter's university. The place is clean, well maintained and has friendly professional staff. You need to make reservations prior to your arrival because it's a popular destination for people who want to see the city. We got here late Friday and sign said " no vacancy"! Luckily because of reservation, they had arranged everything for us in an envelope to be picked up without any delay! Because of being gated, the place looks pretty secure. We left our RV and bikes alone for a full day Saturday and no incident. End word: if you want a place with a good, safe, convenient location close to city ( closest you can with a big RV), try here. read more

Best Park in close proximity to downtown. Just a little hard to find - you can only get there by getting off at I-35 Slaughter Lane (going southbound), or I-35 Cannon Drive (going northbound). Easy walk to nearby basic HEB grocery store, or drive a few miles to the super HEB or Central Market for a better selection of produce, meats and bakery. RV sites were tight, but their staff will lead you in and make sure you get onto your pad without problems. The facilities were wonderful. Very clean restrooms, showers, laundry, nice sunny pool and fantastic exercise room. The staff were extremely helpful and they provide good security. Even have small cabins and single wides for rent by the nite should you have any visitors. Tip - do not get on the interstate during rush hour! read more

Tidy, gated facility, right off I10, patchy wifi services, no cable TV, so they should take it off their website, aging laundry facility with at least one boarded up window & old machines. That said, I did a load & they seemed effective & were available 24/7. No change machine. Restrooms & showers, super close sites, concrete pads, nice size playground & sparsely stocked general store. Didn't use the small dog park or the exercise room, so I can't rate them. All the general amenities were there, they just need a little updating & tweaking. We stayed here for three nights. We were a little concerned when we first pulled in but once we were parked and checked out the Resort we found this place to be A very nice place to stay. Main road is newly paved and the others need to be paved but other than that its very clean, quiet, as long as you are not in the front section close the highway. This campground has so many pluses. The staff is friendly, organized, and always willing to help. The public restrooms/bathhouse was kept very clean. The laundry room and its machines were very clean, and always worked. The exercise room was very clean and well ventilated. The pool area was also well kept. Mail handling for a long stay was reliable. The park was very quiet, with regard to the campers that were there. There is definitely a feeling of safety throughout the park. It was close to the Austin City limits, which was important to us. The only down side is really a matter of the Austin traffic, which is not anything that the RV Resort can control. All of this, and still very reasonably priced, especially when compared to the local competition! We were there for 4-1/2 months, and were very glad to have found such a well kept RV resort to make our temporary home. We would recommend this park for short and long stays. read more

Lots of trees and grass here. The sites are long and even a little private because of the shrubbery which is really nice. Mostly level also. No cable but antenna TV worked fine and so did the internet. The laundry room, bathhouse, and playground are nice. The fenced-in, off-leash dog park is great. The back of the park has what appears to be permanent residents and those sites are not as meticulously maintained as the front of the park. The people were very nice. The downside to this park is mostly not the fault of the park. Getting out means driving to the back of the park and making a wide u-turn so that you can make it through the gate at the front. Plus getting to and in and out of the park is a challenge. It is on a constantly busy one way frontage road. To get back in to the park requires a two-to-three mile loop over the freeway and then back under it a mile down the road. I cannot stress the amount of traffic here at all hours of the day and night. Bring your patience! read more
