Dr. Evans was absolutely amazing. From our first visit, he took his time, never rushed, and explained everything in a way that was clear and comforting. His calm and patient demeanor made both my daughter and me feel completely at ease. It's rare to find a provider who not only excels professionally but also genuinely cares--and Dr. Evans is one of those rare gems. I also have to highlight Sara, the front desk receptionist. Her spunky, kind, and welcoming attitude from the very first phone call is what made me choose Waterford for my daughter. She was incredibly helpful, responsive, and respectful throughout the entire process. Her warmth truly set the tone for everything that followed. But what touched my heart the most was after the procedure. As a mom, seeing your child go under anesthesia is terrifying. I was anxious, and I knew my daughter was too. But when she woke up, the first thing she said was, "Mom, I felt so comfortable in there. The lady gave me a warm blanket and held my hand the whole time." Baylor Scott & White is a lot like the faucets on a cheap kitchen sink: HOT and COLD, with no…read morewarning and apparently no adult supervising the plumbing. When they're hot, they're magnificent. I have received what I would call the gold standard of medical care there--competent, compassionate people doing difficult work exceptionally well. Five stars. No hesitation. And then the handle swings the other direction. My latest adventure began with a broken bone that would benefit from the quaint old medical practice known as treatment. I drove in for an appointment Baylor Scott & White had scheduled, only to be informed that the doctor they scheduled me with doesn't do hands. Excellent. Apparently somewhere in the machinery of modern medicine, I had failed to verify that the specialist selected by the hospital was, in fact, a specialist capable of treating the body part attached to my arm. So I was sent home to await a call from the on-call doctor so I could be rescheduled. Five hours later: silence. I can only assume the orthopedic emergency command center suffered a catastrophic communications failure--or somebody's tee time came up. The final accounting: an 80-mile round trip and roughly four hours burned out of the finite supply of life allotted to me, all to discover that the doctor I had been sent to was the wrong doctor. Then we arrive at the grievance process, where the comedy becomes almost artistic. The Patient Rights material cheerfully encourages patients to file grievances with the "clinical manager." Wonderful. Who is the clinical manager? Apparently this is classified information. The person is not identified anywhere I can find. Then there is Patient Advocacy, a department that appears to function less like an advocacy office and more like an astronomical black hole: complaints enter, light bends, time stops, and nothing ever comes back out. I have some experience with this phenomenon. I'm still waiting for a meaningful response to complaints I raised roughly three months ago. At this point, I'm not sure whether they're investigating them or aging them in oak barrels. And that is the maddening thing about Baylor Scott & White. Parts of this enormous medical machine are superb. You encounter nurses, doctors, technicians, and staff who leave you genuinely grateful such people chose medicine. They are skilled, kind, attentive, and worth every one of those five stars. Then, without warning, you wander through another door and find yourself trapped in a bureaucratic fever dream where appointments lead to doctors who don't treat your injury, nobody seems responsible for anything, and "patient advocacy" has all the responsiveness of a mailbox painted onto a brick wall. So how do I rate Baylor Scott & White? That's easy. Five stars when they're hot. One star when they're cold. And God help you if you turn the faucet expecting one and get the other.

Instead of investigating a complex, distressing, and very real medical issue, the doctors completely dismissed my symptoms and actively questioned my credibility as a patient.When a patient advocates for necessary medical help, they should be met with diagnostic curiosity and empathy, not accusations or being made to feel like they are faking an illness. This dismissive attitude turned an already stressful health situation into an emotional nightmare.Furthermore, the administrative side of this practice is highly unresponsive, making it nearly impossible to get in touch with staff or fix administrative errors. I cannot recommend this practice for anyone looking for reliable, collaborative, or empathetic healthcare.

I was referred here by my dentist to have my wisdom tooth extracted due to the way the tooth grew…read morein. The staff were very nice and attentive with X-rays and questions. Dr Campbell is very knowledgeable as well. He's always checking to make sure you're okay during whatever process. Fast forward to the day of surgery, they make a driver come with you and stay during the entire time of surgery. You're given instructions orally as well as written instructions just in case. After that, I don't remember much of anything until I woke up again. A few hours after surgery Dr Campbell personally calls you to make sure everything is fine. You're also given his cell number beforehand in case of emergencies after hours. I did however have complications with my removal due to the tooth being so close to my nerve. Because of this, the staff made it easy for me to schedule a follow up multiple times and though I was concerned, Dr Campbell's knowledge of the procedure put me a little at ease by letting me know that sometimes the healing process takes time and this case was rare. I'm just always the lucky rare person unfortunately. While I'm still not fully healed, I appreciate the urgency to respond to my concerns and great customer service.

Well, we don't do that here." And walked out. The nurse who attended me seemed more interested in going home than making sure my x-ray holders were small enough for my mouth, so that they didn't cut into my gums. The entire staff seemed irritated and rude. They all seemed so angry that I considered just walking out. It wasn't worth it. Terrible professional conduct.
