I had my first MRI today and a couple x-rays. Probably my last MRI. I wouldn't say its horrible,…read morebut the feeling I got while I was in the tube was weird. And it's extremely loud. I'm not claustrophobic, if you are I don't recommend it. I waited about ten minutes before a guy came and got me to get ready for the MRI. He explained everything in the kindest way, but he didn't sugar coat it. It didn't really make me nervous, but maybe some anticipation slipped in. Then came Rene to perform the MRI. She also explained everything, just like he did, but for some reason a calmness came over me. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't wait for it to be done and it went over without a hitch. Then I went to the x-ray room. The girl took four x-rays in 2 or 3 minutes. She didn't have to read anything to know what to do, and she knew what positions I had to be in for the proper x-rays. She floated around like a little dove. This was the first time I enjoyed getting x-rays. I don't want to leave out the two girls at the front desk. As soon as I walked in I started to tell them my name and why I was there, but before I even started with my last name the girl gave me some paperwork that I had to fill out, since I was a new patient. Their kindness was explosive. Longhorn Imaging in Kyle is not your average Medical Facility. It's friendly, caring, and everyone knows their job like they know their name. These people are absolute professionals and they treated me like royalty. Oh yeah, I had to wait for the x-rays because the bureaucrats or whoever, was inspecting the x-ray machine, they probably checked all the machines, and all was well. So you also know this place is top notch. If you need any type of imaging, this place is for you.

It hurt so much that when I exited, I specifically asked that they put that MRI tech's name on my record as someone I never wanted to deal with again. I also asked that they forward my complaint to management. One year later, it's time to make another appointment. That tech's name is not on my record. I received an email and a text that there was a letter waiting for me from ARA. Ten minutes of dealing with their archaic website only to find out that there was no letter. Just a notification that I have an appointment. They hurt me, ignore me and then they waste my time. I have to ask myself... Why have I trusted these incompetent people with my life?

I genuinely wish ARA would reconsider outsourcing its patient call center overseas. The experience…read morehas been incredibly frustrating and, at times, nearly impossible to navigate. It is extremely difficult to understand ANY of the representatives, and they seem to have very limited information available to them about patients, appointments, or scheduling. Every time I ask about available appointment times, I'm placed on hold while they apparently try to find the information. It took 35 mins sitting in a parking lot to schedule one MRI. Only available 2 months out. I had to "phone a friend" to help me schedule and we got in 2 days later. I had anxiety calling today just to get a CT scan. Same ridiculous issue. I have four children and have dealt with countless doctors, specialists, and medical offices over the years, and I have never experienced anything this inefficient or frustrating. Trying to schedule with ARA gives me more excruciating pain then my back! It's 2026, ARA Wake up! Healthcare systems should have integrated patient records and online scheduling where patients can see actual appointment availability and book directly. You guys have multiple offices, how are you not efficient here?! Trying to cut costs at the patient's expense is why. I shouldn't have to spend an unreasonable amount of time on the phone just trying to find out what appointment times are available and give someone in India info about my doctor (who called in the request). HE CALLED IT IN! How is this info not in the system? The entire process feels unnecessarily complicated and outdated, especially for patients who are already dealing with pain and health concerns.

If people need to be there at a specific time, why would you not make THAT their appt time?! Canceled my service with them to work with someone who values my time and my business. ** After looking at the text they sent me confirming my time, they sent another text changing the time 30 mins later, making my arrival at the original al planned time that we had scheduled for over a week or two "not early enough" It feels like they went out of their way to mess up a scheduled appt. The radiology report was interpreted by a…read moreDACBR (chiropractic radiologist), but the facility never clearly communicated that a board-certified MD radiologist would not be reading the images. The report included terminology and diagnostic descriptions that were vague, inconsistent with current medical standards, and ultimately contradicted by multiple second opinions from medical radiologists. The interpreting provider mentioned the possibility of a serious medical condition, but at no point was I contacted, advised, or given any urgency of follow-up. When my physician formally requested a reread by an MD radiologist, the center denied it without clear justification. If you are seeking imaging for conditions that may require medical or surgical evaluation, I strongly recommend confirming in advance whether your imaging will be reviewed by a board-certified medical doctor. Transparency, clarity, and accuracy are critical in imaging, and I unfortunately did not feel that those standards were upheld in my case.
