Frankenstein told me I didn't need a data transfer with a motherboard replacement and charged for labor and parts which was pretty straightforward. I estimate I saved $200 on the motherboard replacement or $600 if I had to buy the new computer. Repair took about a week (through a holiday), but was reasonable given they had to order a part.
