Halos not as bad, but.. after 18 months, I now require glasses for distance (both eyes different) AND close-up. And still have tons of floaters. However when I came in for my follow up appointment I was handed two pages to read about their new policy and then the receptionist left to go do other things. I was not told what it was that they wanted me to sign. As I read it was a new card on file policy where they would automatically charge me for the difference the insurance wouldn't cover. I have zero problem paying for things that my insurance won't cover, but I don't want to give anyone my card to keep on file and charge. I have had too many experiences when the dr office just coded something incorrectly and I was told that I needed to pay x amount when really once things were coded and submitted properly I was fully covered. I did not want to give any dr the ability to charge my card when it the mistake is not mine. Again, if something is not covered then I will pay my bills. But I don't want to be in a situation where I have an unexpected charge on my card. I was told that if I didn't want to give them a card I could pay the full amount and they would reimburse me once the insurance paid the bill. I told them I didn't want to do either but preferred to normal way. Another patient in the office piped up and said that she felt the same way as I did and agreed with me. I do feel bad that they feel like they need to do this. I am sure there are some people who don't pay their bills and would but they sr office in this situation but I am not one of those people who do not pay and I don't like being treated this way. I felt like they were trying to slide one by with a "new policy" that wasn't explained or necessary. They told me I could reschedule for a later time once I was feeling better about their policy. I told them I would go somewhere else. I know this is a new office that just opened up within the year and it is a husband and wife team. I want them to succeed and become filthy rich because of their customer service and patient care but in order for that to happen they need to make better policy decisions that don't make their patience feel like this.

They offer all the versions of replacement lenses available, though unfortunately most insurance companies only cover the Basic mono-focal lenses. They handled everything with my insurance. The cost and copay will depend on your insurance coverage. With Medicare and the basic lens, my copay was about $250. The surgery is performed at a surgery center in Round Rock, and Dr. Restivo did a great job. It is 100% painless and I am amazed at the difference it makes to my vision! I can't wait to have the other eye done in a couple of weeks.

As soon as you enter the waiting room, the check in ladies hide behind their computers, never say…read more"good morning", and when you do get to speak to them, they are not friendly at all. Then you wait and wait and wait, as you look around, same signs "under construction" on the door as has been for over 2 years, bathroom always out of order, floors with ants and just overall "uninviting" from the get go. Then you see Dr. Yard and she is so fast (always in a hurry) - rushed, as you exit you never get a summary of your eye status from the exam. THEN the worst is when you call in to re-schedule - YOU CANNOT GET ANYONE ON THE PHONE - E V E R! They play phone tag for weeks and weeks - still no re-schedule apt. DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE SHITY SERVICE!
