As soon as you enter the waiting room, the check in ladies hide behind their computers, never say "good morning", and when you do get to speak to them, they are not friendly at all. Then you wait and wait and wait, as you look around, same signs "under construction" on the door as has been for over 2 years, bathroom always out of order, floors with ants and just overall "uninviting" from the get go. Then you see Dr. Yard and she is so fast (always in a hurry) - rushed, as you exit you never get a summary of your eye status from the exam. THEN the worst is when you call in to re-schedule - YOU CANNOT GET ANYONE ON THE PHONE - E V E R! They play phone tag for weeks and weeks - still no re-schedule apt. DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE SHITY SERVICE! read more

By far the worst medical facility ever encountered. Been with them for four years, and every year a new doctor. The last visit was the last straw. During the two visits prior to this one, the doctor was always 40+ minutes late, with the last close to two-hours only to cancel at the last minute and rescheduled for the next day. All the lab and testing had been done. I show up the next day, after being asked if I could come in early, which I did; and seen by a tech 40 minutes later; the same old routine. She started to tell me all she was going to do before I saw the doctor. I told her I had all the tests, pics, labs, etc. done yesterday and was here to see the doctor. She could not find any of the information from my visit the day earlier. I politely told her I was leaving, and would be moving to another doctor. I need eye care, but no one here seems to care. Today is the third time I have delt with this poorly run group. I can forgive and be patient, but three times and not knowing where my labs, test, etc. are then something is definitely wrong. On top of that, a poor woman showed up while I was waiting and tried to check in. She was told she did not have an appointment. She showed them the text she had received verifying the date and time, but they had no record of it. I was not surprised, having witnessed this before. So, if a group can send you text, phone messages and emails to remind you of your appointment, and state that if you reschedule less than 48 hours before you will have to pay a fee. All in all, giving the impression that they have you scheduled and ready to provide the services needed. Yet only to once again be extremely disappointed. All done with this practice, and on to better service and a practice that really cares. read more

My toddlers PCP sent us here for her eye evaluation to see if she needs glasses. Our appointment was for 9:45, my daughter wasn't seen by the doctor until 10:45. We did 10 minutes of intake and 50 of waiting- with a toddler. My daughter is also neurodivergent. Her patience was incredible during this time. The tech/nurse that checked my daughter in, Sky/Skye, was incredible. She worked really well with my daughter and actually spoke to her like a person. The doctor- I don't even remember her name. (Edited to add her doctor was Dr.Yard today) She came in and almost immediately called for backup to assist in holding my daughter down in some fashion since she was AFRAID of the procedure. She talked to my daughter as if she was a puppy and did not ask how I wanted to proceed in helping my child through the procedure. My toddler waited 50 minutes only for this doctor to come in abruptly and scared her so she could hurry up and finish her job since she was obviously so far behind. I will not be back- and I will not recommend this doctor to my friends and family with neurodivergent families. read more

To be fair she is an ok doctor. The hue, big and unacceptable practice is not respecting their patients time. the doctor see you for 5-10 minutes, but you awfully wait for 3 hours. Does this office believe over booking, over scheduling or time problem are not a concern. Folks give me a break. Waiting 1, 2, 3, 4 hours before seeing the doctor in this office is a disaster at any level. where is the integrity of this doctor or this office. If the patients are late, you have to reschedule . This office should NOT COLLECT CO-PAY for not respecting your appointment schedule. LETS DO IT RIGHT. read more

My children have been going here for years to see Dr. Jatla. No complaint with her. She's so kind. But I can't take the wait anymore! Hour long waits every time we come...just to get pulled back to the exam room! We are currently still here 2 hours after our appointment start time waiting to see the docto. Not only that, but the tech that pulled us back didn't apologize about the wait. Then she asks why we're here today. (Shouldn't that be in our notes?) I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment. I was quickly received and moved to the back for the examination by the nurse. It took about 15 minutes for the nurse to do the preliminary assessment and I was told to go seat at the waiting area for the doctor. I sat in the waiting room for one hour before moving to another room for the doctor to finish examining me. Also, the common areas and offices were not sanitize frequently. read more

I got an appt in November, got to the office and waited for over an hour. Dr Yard came out and told us all in the waiting room that they were running behind and would get to us... I elected to reschedule.. I returned on dec 1 at 0845 got right in and the tech did his thing, at 0920 the tech came in and said that Dr. Yard had just got out of surgery and would be in the office in :20 minutes. I have a son with special needs that has to see a specialist. We have been to this center 3 times before and never had an issue. Love the doctor. She's amazing. Today they earned the 1 star review. We got here early so I'm not even counting the time we waited up to the appointment time. We waited 45 minutes before I went up to ask what the deal was. The girl looked at the computer, rolled her eyes, and told me the technicians were behind, but the doctor is on time. How is the doctor on time and no one was looking for someone who had an appointment 45 minutes prior??? I would rather be told, "oh no! We overlooked him and will get him right back!" We get back to the exam room, finally, and the technician starts doing an exam like she would on a neurotypical person. My son was struggling. I asked, "Does it say in his file that he has MR and Autism?" She said, "Oh, I didn't look at that. I probably should have." That doctor that was running on schedule...we waited 18 minutes for her before we left. We live an hour away. The appointment was at 2:40 and it is now 4:15. He's extremely restless and I'm extremely annoyed. read more

Worst experience with Dr Jatla. Was told I had beginning stages of macular degenerate. Was treated for inflammation and returned for follow up. Never mentioned what I should be doing re newly diagnosed eye condition, had tech do a vision check, which was completely wrong. Did not discuss prescription for new contacts. Was told I needed a new appointment and charge me another $150.00! Very rushed visit and was told "See you in one year"! I went for a second opinion and he spent 3 1/2 hours with detailed explanations and treatment plan, and HE did the vision check. Spent over $400:00 on new glasses and $500.00 on Tx for Restasis, which come to find out I never needed with Dr Jatla! Don't waste your time and money with Clarity Eye. Also, if something doesn't feel right or your are not satisfied with care, do not hesitate to seek a second opinion. read more

I have been treated by Dr Jatla for the last 5 years. I can not say enough good things about her and her office. She is always very informative with up to date information on all my eye care. I have glaucoma and Fuchs Dystrophy, she has guided me through a cornea transplant and cataract surgery with great success. Dr Jatla takes all the time we need, never rushes me and makes sure I understanding everything before I leave. If your looking for a good eye doctor you won't be disappointed! read more

This is not an easy review for me to write because I really liked Dr. Jatla and after checking Clarity's website and reading reviews here, I believed she'd do a great job. I'll try to be as brief as possible, but when dealing with something as important as vision, it's important to give as many details as possible. I want to be fair, but after a month of noticing details about my vision, I can't help but conclude that something went wrong during the laser she did on Nov. 22. Whether it's her fault or not, I know one thing for sure - in hindsight, I would not have chosen her for this procedure and may not have had it done at all. I had a cataract removed from my left eye in March, 2015 at Howerton Eye Clinic in Austin and I had absolutely no problems with that (see my Yelp review). I knew sometimes it's necessary to go back later for a laser treatment (YAG capsulotomy) to remove scar tissue. I read it is a "simple, painless laser procedure that is done in the office to remove scar tissue that can develop behind the lens implant once the cataract surgery is complete." So I wasn't worried and I decided to get this done since my vision had become less clear in that eye. Dr. Jatla said the really crisp vision I had following the cataract removal should return after the procedure and it would never have to be done again. I was excited to hear this and I waited until I had my new prescription filled, but still that crispness was not there and I noticed in general that my vision was not as good as it had been before the procedure. Now I noticed when just walking around in stores, etc., that everything was much more blurry to the point of being disorienting. Even with distance glasses, it still wasn't totally clear. And even after a month since the procedure, I still noticed my left iris was noticeably more dilated than my right and just felt weird, like it was maybe a little more swollen. When I called to get it checked out again, Dr. Jatla was on maternity leave, so I saw Dr. Dang on Dec. 12. I liked him; he took his time, listened carefully and did a bunch of tests. He assured me there was no damage to my pupil or iris. He showed me a picture and said it wasn't perfectly round anymore due to the hooks they have to use during cataract removal. I told him that had been over a year ago and I had not noticed anything weird until now, so I don't think it was right to try to blame anything on that. He said there was nothing wrong with my retina and I asked him then why were things so much cloudy than they had been before the laser. There's no doubt in my mind that my vision is worse now than it was before this procedure. Even with the new glasses, the vision in my left eye is not as clear as my right, and my right eye still has a cataract! When I had the cataract removed, I chose the monofocal lens for distance viewing since I was used to reading glasses but had no big problem with distance viewing. It's hard to describe the vision in my left eye now except there is a haze or blur with or without glasses and whether looking close or far away. When I look just through my left eye, it is like looking through gel where letters slightly blur together and has the effect of a text shadow. It's like there's a permanent fuzzy floater obstructing my vision. I've had floaters for a long time now and know what they're like - they move around and eventually clear. This is always there and makes everything look fuzzy like double vision. He said something about fibrosis and inflammation after laser and that sometimes a Yag procedure can condense vitreous gel. He took a picture and showed me what he called "spider veins" that they could try to remove, but there's no guarantee and it might make floaters worse. He said that larger gel looking object was nothing to worry about and couldn't be removed. Basically what it came down to was that sometimes there are "complications" and that's why I had to sign a release. At that point I told him if I did opt to do anything else, it certainly wouldn't be there. Maybe this would have happened no matter what doctor did the procedure. All I know for sure that if I had a choice of my vision before I had it done and now, I'd opt not to have it done. So whether you choose Dr. Jatla or not, you should be aware of this possibility. I'm going to see the doctor in Austin who removed the cataract to see what she says. Since I don't live in Austin anymore and wanted someone in Georgetown, that's why I chose Dr. Jatla, but I sure wish I would have just made that drive now! I'll update after my next visit. 12/31/16 update: After seeing Dr. Hawthorne, she couldn't say that Dr. Jatla did something wrong, but I think a lot of doctors are hesitant to judge another like that. She talked about different ways to do the procedure and said there were some "strands" left that she could laser out and that would help. Well, that alone tells me Dr. Jatla missed something at least. read more

I scheduled my annual Diabetic Eye Exam-Covered completely by Medicare, however when I was leaving I was presented a bill for $40.00! After protesting the bill (supposed to be completely covered by Medicare) the receptionist went to the back area-assume to consult with Dr. Yard, she came back and told us we could go. Wouldn't you presume the issue was closed? Well in about 3 weeks we received a billing for the $40.00. I called the number on the billing and talked to the billing person. This was on a Friday 2/25/22. The billing person tried to check out the bill with Dr. Yard (or so she said) but she was gone for the day. The billing person said she would check it out Monday 2/28/22 and definitely call me back on Monday. Well that didn't happen but soon a "re-billing" happened! I will reluctantly pay the bill-since Clarity Eye Center must be so greedy that the Medicare Payment is insufficient. I guess they needed the $40.00 to help pay for the new practice they just this month opened in Georgetown, TX. When your health care provider cannot be trusted, to be honest, and provide the services you request then you should change health care providers! So will I. read more

So my 110 lb. PUPPY decided to take a flying leap off of my husband's face. Yup, tore the eyelid. Went to the ER, who sent us to Dr. Dang. Thank goodness! Dr. Dang saved his eye, stitched up the eyelid and kept us engaged and unpanicked the whole time. Two visits later, the scar is slight and the dog is now larger, but we are investing in some goggles for playtime! All is well. Thank you Dr. Dang and a great staff! read more

I have nothing to say except wonderful things, Dr. Yard did a complete exam on me in a timely fashion. She explained everything that she saw I was having issues with, which my previous Dr. had not addressed since my cataract surgery. She offered alternate plans which I was egger to try and for me helped a great deal. I was treated with respect and kindness by all of the staff. One time my appointment ran long because she give her time to be sure I understood my treatment plan. I am so happy to find a doctor who cares about the individual. read more

First time my mom had appointment here with doctor Vira, we checked in early before appointment time and we'd to waited for 45 minutes, then a eye tech works on my mom for an hour, then doctor told us that everything good, bye, really? insurance paid for doctor exam without doctor do anything. Then after a week, they called back and said they missed something and need to do it again, really?, and then we scheduled for 2 more weeks ahead, and after checked in and waited for 35 minutes, and a woman came out and said we found it, no needed to do again, really?. I had several traumatic things happen in my life which caused me to put off going in for a visit for several months. I tried to tell Dr. Jatla that when she CHASTISED me for waiting so long to come in for my glaucoma. She talked to me like a child and basically said "We're OK, here, we've got plenty of business." In other words, it doesn't matter if you come in or not. I know she was trying to make a valid point, but I had just had several things in a row happen to me that made it difficult to remember my medical care, in addition to my night shift job. You need to work on your bedside manner to say the least. I didn't appreciate that treatment. Dr. Jatla, don't take it personal when a patient is unable to come in and see you. Also, don't use your own life as an example and talk about how "life is crazy" and "I get it". You're a doctor, you get paid a LOT to monitor a condition that has no cure, so no: YOU DON'T GET IT. read more

I came here during covid with a young kid who was cannot mask obviously. I called ahead and asked the front desk if waiting in the car is an option. They said ok but after coming in with my kid they said I need to wait in the lobby to save my spot. For someone who takes covid seriously, this is a concern. Guess what the wait was here? 1.5 hours approx. I brought this issue up to the doctor but she did not care. The wait time is ridiculous for the service I got. I brought this wait time issue to Dr. Jatla and it clearly looked like she did not care a bit. I really wish they were honest and upfront about the wait times here when I called to make an appointment. As far as service itself, nothing to say it was above and beyond- just mediocre. Look elsewhere if you want to go to a place and wait forever. Really waiting this long is a waste of my time, especially when covid restrictions are in place.. I repeatedly told them that I had a kid and no one, I mean absolutely none in this office cared.. I asked the nurse repeatedly when we can see the doc and they said it will be a couple of more minutes, but 1.5 hours is ridiculous.. Dr. Jatla did not do anything to fix this issue either.. Rating Woohoo! As good as it gets! The first time I saw Dr. Jatla I was more than pleased. She explained everything that was going on with my eyes and even though I had seen other doctors, I never had it explained so well. She later did a YAG on both eyes and my vision became very sharp and clear and have had no problems since. This amazing doctor goes beyond what is expected. I was having some serious health issues and even though it was not a vision problem, she got me into a specialist very quickly. My family and I owe her a great deal of gratitude. I reached out to facebook to find a opthomologist for my 2 year old daughter when the waiting list elsewhere was 4-6 months and the staff was not helpful at the Dell Children's Medical Eye Center. Multiple people recommended Dr Jatla and I can honestly say I was FLOORED at how AMAZING she was! They got my daughter in the SAME DAY and that was without a referral from the PCP. On top of that she was SO very patient with my little girl and promptly treated her. I felt such a genuine care for my daughter and for myself and she was so reassuring. She was seriously a superhero and couldn't have asked for better care from both the doctor and her staff! read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE the doctor here and her staff. My Fiance had come to the Georgetown location on Monday with a piece of metal in his eye (that he had over the weekend). After calling probably 8+ snoody Doctor offices on Monday we finally got a hold of Clarity Eye. The receptionist is **AWESOME** and was so helpful in getting us an appointment right away. Unfortunately, the piece of metal was deeper than expected and because Dr.Jatla goes back and forth between Georgetown and Round Rock she didn't have the necessary tool to get deeper into the eye (and was only able to remove a portion of the metal). Dr. Jatla apologized for the inconvenience many times, then offered to come in early at the Round Rock location (which is where we live) and skip her morning meeting in order to make sure that my fiance was seen A.S.A.P. also doing this so that he wouldn't have to miss work. All in all, we were just charged once, and even with having to come back a second time I was more that pleased with the amazing receptionist, assistant that gave him the initial eye exam, and of course, Dr. Jatla. He and I will both be using these folks for any eye care needs that we might have. read more

I had been exposed to second hand chemicals which caused toxic cataracts and retina scaring in both eyes. Over a short period of a few months I went from 20/20 to totally blind in one eye and the other eye was headed that way. I went to Dr. Dang and the Clarity Eye Center in Round Rock. The ladies there were exceptional in helping me with my situation and went out of their way to do so. Dr. Dang examined my conditions and evaluated the situation, preformed the required surgeries and prescribed the after surgery care. The result was that I regained total vision in both eyes, even a little better than before. I would recommend Dr. Dang and the ladies, and Clarity Eye Center to anyone with no reservations. We had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Jatla at the Georgetown location for our 3 year old's eye condition. She was so kind and took the time to explain everything and every possible outcome. She never once seemed irritated with our questions. We just want to make sure we are doing the best for our child. She was patient with our 3 year old and talked to her while she was doing the exam. She was very conservative with her diagnostics and treatment, doing only what was necessary and nothing additional. Long story short, I went in to be fitted for a pair of contacts and was charged more than $500 for that fitting. The Dr. was very nice and seemed to dial the RX in well, but I've worn contacts for 20 + years and this is almost 3 times what I've paid in the past. When I called Brittany in the billing dept. to convey my concerns, she ultimately laughed when I told her of my intent to post this review.....so here it is. I agreed to some of the charges and did expect to see a bit higher since this is an MD office, but more than $600 dollars to be fitted for a pair of contacts is unreasonable and I'm now very sorry that I made any assumptions on what the cost would be. Never again, but lesson learned. If I had known this would be so much, I would never have used Clarity Eye Center for my fitting. Overall experience was acceptable, but that experience does not justify such an inflated price for a basic service. Make sure you get an understanding of pricing before services are performed so there are no surprises. read more

We were referred to Clarity Eye Center by the ER doctor at Seton Williamson, after my son was hit in the eye at baseball practice. He had developed a hyphema from the impact. Dr. Dang was incredibly friendly and informative. Our son ended up having surgery to relieve the pressure, and had immediate relief. He has not had any issues since. We felt like we were in good hands with Dr. Dang, and are extremely pleased with his care. read more

I went to this eye center unexpectedly. I woke up and my eye was killing me and I needed to see someone quick. They got me in right away, and this is certainly where I will go for my eye care needs. EVERYONE was so friendly, nice, and helpful. The facility was new and clean. Most importantly, when insurance wasn't paying for my meds, I called the Clarity Eye Center and they were on it right away, unlike most dr.'s offices where you can leave 5 messages at the nurses station and no one ever gets back to you.
