Or possibly, it was a combination of all these things complete with the new friends we've made thanks to this journey. Old friends, new friends. Young friends, Old friends. Whatever the case, Monday night's have never been so much fun! Team IcyHots started out a smattering of friends, acquaintances, yelpers, complete strangers....a few short weeks later, we're teammates, friends, WINNERS! But to tell you the truth, even if we'd lost every single game, it wouldn't have made a bit of difference. WAKA rules!

Flash forward a year later, a brief winter hiatus, and 15 lessons later, I now have a 95% overhand serve rate (no more underhand serving for this gal), and look halfway decent when attacking the ball. The usual attendees are around intermediate level (since they've been going for a while), but everyone is super supportive no matter what level you are! They post the daily training focus on their IG week by week so you can drop in whenever to do drills and receive proper training on improving in that skill (ex. Setting v passing v hitting etc). It's also a great way to start your day and get in a few games before work since it runs quite on time from 7:30am-9am on the dot!

You would think rather than using a third party and sending tickets in the mail, they would work directly with their customers. I guess the issue here is that after doing a workout I got a snack from a local business and then returned to my car. If this is a violation of my contract, fine, come talk to me, but having a third party send a bill in the mail threatening me with collections is passive aggressive and terrible customer service. Maybe they'll squeeze a couple extra bucks from people by doing this, but it seems like a classic example of "penny wise, pound foolish" since in the long run you'll just alienate your customers.

The sauna and steam room are separate sexes located in the locker rooms for privacy. The showers have good quality hair products and body wash. They even have razors and q-tips as well as cotton wipes. Hair dryers are available too. The pool area is really like a resort it is so nice. Plenty of loungers to relax on and good shade spots. This gym has all the beautiful people haha. Everyone is in like Lulu-lemon and dress to impress. Fun but a little intimidating when you wear old gym closes. They also have pickleball courts and basketball. You can take a pickleball lesson and sign up to play with others when comfortable. Lastly there is a spa and hair salon as well as a food center with high quality ingredients. This place is really really nice. I have never seen a nicer club in my life!

This time it was lifetime who booked me for 60 min when I wanted 30 min. I'm so over the spa here / they never have an esthetician available and charge $95 for a 30 min massage which is expensive by any means and the front desk manager is a bitch!

Fast forward to now, where there is a Ninja Warrior gym I'm the area where all the has been and wanna he's can go and learn, and practice, and grow. The head coach has been on the actual show more than 10 times and I'm proud to call him and his amazing partner friends, and he has built a business around something he is passionate about. He's been a gymnastics coach since we've been young and so he's someone who loves it, not just says it, not just does it. It's incredible how people feel about how well it's organized, how much care goes into everything, and mom's and dad's can trust their kids to improve, spend energy, and in a safe environment that has that cool #spiderman flare to it. There is sufficient parking, occasional good trucks, it's located right off I35, and neighboring a brewery...
