They have some very professional obstacles. The people running it did a great job working with the kids, showing them how to complete each obstacle, as well as the adults who participated. It wasn't really my thing, but everyone who participated seemed to have a blast. They have some event rooms where we had cake and pizza for the birthday party. For you adults, there's also a brewery across the parking lot. (hint hint- drop the kids off, go have a beer!)

Fast forward to now, where there is a Ninja Warrior gym I'm the area where all the has been and wanna he's can go and learn, and practice, and grow. The head coach has been on the actual show more than 10 times and I'm proud to call him and his amazing partner friends, and he has built a business around something he is passionate about. He's been a gymnastics coach since we've been young and so he's someone who loves it, not just says it, not just does it. I've seen 2 competitions here so far, multiple birthday parties, and have seen the customer experiences take place first hand. It's incredible how people feel about how well it's organized, how much care goes into everything, and mom's and dad's can trust their kids to improve, spend energy, and in a safe environment that has that cool #spiderman flare to it. There is sufficient parking, occasional good trucks, it's located right off I35, and neighboring a brewery... What more can most people ask than to have a beer and good food in the hot Texas sun while their kids run around and play next door with other kids who aren't even missing their phones or their video games! #ianofaustin approved, excellent local business for fitness activities for children and adults

Be VERY cautious before signing up for personal training here…read more The initial "free session" was mostly a high-pressure sales process, which in hindsight should have been a red flag. Some aspects of the program also didn't match how they were presented during sign-up (things like guidance around goals, communication, and support outside of sessions). I do want to say that my trainer herself was kind and genuinely good during the sessions I had with her. I don't think the issue is the individual trainers as much as the structure of the program. That said, I did run into a couple of scheduling issues where I showed up for confirmed appointments that had been reassigned, and communication overall was inconsistent. I also would have appreciated more proactive follow-up--I needed to cancel my last session in December, life has been crazy, it's now Mid April and I never heard from anyone again--though I acknowledge I could have reached out as well. *****The biggest issue, however, has been the cancellation process.***** The contract requires written notice through a specific support email, and in practice, that process has been slow and difficult to navigate. It took multiple attempts to get clear direction, and communication was limited to being routed back to the same support channel without meaningful follow-through. Based on my experience and similar complaints from other customers, this appears to be a pattern. This creates a situation where it's easy to sign up, but MUCH harder than expected to cancel. I would strongly encourage anyone considering signing up to carefully review the cancellation terms and be prepared for a potentially frustrating process if you decide to end the program.

If a machine is being repaired, there's usually a second machine to use. It's not as clean as other gyms but that is not solely the gym's responsibility. The cleaning stations commonly need to be replenished but there's also nearly cleaning stations you can resort to. Plus you get extra steps, win? At times it may be too hot but I see the benefit of a heated gym- it's not always optimal during the summer. For the convenience and practicality of a gym, it meets the standards. Nothing fancy but nothing lacking. They could use a better range of fitness classes. The only classic ever see is Zumba and cycling. You can't beat the amenities for the price!

After getting more details, I…read morelearned the offer required paying for a full year up front, which was not how I initially understood the advertisement. After enrolling, paying the signup costs, and purchasing required gear, I attended classes for a short period (month or two). During that time, I experienced multiple illnesses due to what I can assume a dirty/uncleaned Matt setting and ultimately had an interaction with a coach/member that caused me to discontinue training entirely. The coach informed me that another member was uncomfortable with me. I repeatedly asked what specific behavior I had engaged in so I could understand the concern and avoid repeating it. I was never given an explanation. As a new student, being told I made someone uncomfortable while not being told what I had done left me feeling embarrassed, confused, and unwelcome... I was so excited to belong somewhere and finally get back into something I used to love doing, and it turned disastrous very quickly for me. The following day, another coach acknowledged that the conversation could have been handled differently, which confirmed for me that the situation was not addressed well. When I later requested cancellation, I felt that my concerns were entirely dismissed and the focus remained on blaming me, and contract enforcement and termination fees rather than addressing why I no longer felt comfortable attending. This was my personal experience. Others may have had a different one, but I would encourage prospective members to thoroughly understand the contract terms, cancellation policy, and financial commitments before signing.

On 4/5/11 I attended the first parents meeting and there were absolutely no scheduled teams or scheduled practice times or locations. The director simply stated the coaches would be in touch and practice would be held at an elementary school. On 4/7/11 after showing up for a practice per email it was not for my daughter's age group or a girls team. The director then stated he didn't have a team for her age and would issue a refund if he couldn't place her. On 4/12/11 we showed up for a practice again per email that was supposely for girls and she was the only one that showed up. Another parent coaching a younger boys team said he agreed to help with the girls team after being told there was no coach for this team. He did not recieve a roster or any information about practices. Keep in mind this is 4 days before their scheduled first game. On 4/14/11 we finally spoke to the coach assigned and she stated the team had 9 to 16 year olds and would have their first game on 4/16/11. At that time we told her we would be speaking to the director for a refund. I can't imagine a team formed with such a big age group would be beneficial for any of the girls. It's 5/9/11 and after 10 combined emails and phone calls the director has yet to contact us or issue the refund. We are now reporting them to the BBB. I would highly recommend staying away from this league. The league is very disorganized and dishonest with parents about their team availability. Since the beginning (and we were late signers) we recieved mixed communication about a team roster, practice times and locations, and game schedules. This league was unable to do any part of youth recreational sports correctly. In addition they showed a great lack of professional and common courtesy for parents who take the time to read their emails, show up even with little to no notice for practices, and then will not return calls when they clearly did not do what they were paid to do.

First meeting/evaluation they were 20 minutes late and they never wrote down a players name so how could they have evaluated them? Second meeting/first real practice they were 30 minutes late and parents for juniors and rookies sat outside at Hill Country Bible church gym. No roll was called so they had no idea who attended and a pee wee coach had to step in because we did not have a coach. Third meeting/second practice at Soccer Zone...no one showed up! After this, we had a parent volunteer but the people in charge of this organization never checked on the coach or how things were going and they did not offer any help or coaching training. One practice we were kicked out of the place they reserved for us for a game but yet they never told us until all parents got there. Things just keep getting worse. Do NOT join this league! The only time they respond to your emails is when they want you to sell their raffle tickets or volunteer at their concession stands.

I visited last month on a recommendation from my husband, who follows the pickleball community online. When I first checked the website to reserve an open play spot, it was a little confusing: Level 1: Beginners (newbies and advanced beginners); there aren't many options for these sessions in the morning. Level 2: 3.0 and up (intermediate to advanced). This is the level my husband and I played, and we were right on par with the other players. Level 3: The advanced-elite level. Overall, we had fun from check-in to check-out and even walked away with some great T-shirt swag. I was so happy I didn't have to pack my own paddle since I could rent a Selkirk Broomstick Elongated there.

Cons: Maybe not so much cons, I just think APR has become a bit stagnant compared to East Side Paddle Club. ESPC is cheaper, with more courts, and just as many events, clinics, and open plays. ESPC also has family plan, which is very nice on the wallet. Level of play seems more challenging at ESPC compared to APR, and just generally more buzz. Still very solid place to pay, I just think they need to be more innovative or come down in price.
