Usually I shop at the South 1st location and was wondering where Beth the star saleslady had gone... was I missing her shifts or had she taken time off perhaps for a new baby? But over on Westgate I spotted another location, pulled in right quick to check it out, and voila! Beth of the bright blue eyelashes, working at the new place while new baby naps! The South First store is a great little spot near my house but this one is bigger and has even more on display, which is wonderful since they stock a lot of artisan glass! Clever, amusing one-off glassware from mainly local glass artists, always a pleasure to examine and I buy them now and then for gifts or self-treats. Beth showed me a new art glass item just introduced by the maker, small glass pendants that glow prettily in the light and hold a drop or two of perfume oil to scent the immediate area (for me, that's the cleavage area!) and helped hunt up a length of cord to string it on so I could wear it out of the store. She even tied it cleverly with a double-knot arrangement that made the necklace length adjustable. It's evident that whoever opened Austin Vape&Smoke has hit on a good business combination and I hope the expansion means they are doing well. The employees are invariably polite and professional and some are the kind of memorable salespeople you'd change store locations to buy from! I'd be happy to shop only there for vape supplies if they would just stock the single flavor my husband wants-- since they don't have it, and the other place doesn't stock Suorin products any more so I can't get new pods there for my SuorinAir+, I'm stuck having to make two stops. As nice as the Create-a-Cig people are, they are still a big chain store with a lousy reputation for selling knockoff hardware (they're blacklisted with at least one of the major vape-device makers) and I'd rather buy everything I need from Beth :) or the nice fellows left over at the South First store. Well done guys and see you when I need more pods! The pendant smells lovely with frankencense&myrrh oil and the adjustable cord lets me wear it with anything! read more

The guy there recommended their other location & gave us some samples. We went to their other location and found exactly what we were looking for. We got the 10% off first visit deal offered with check-in on yelp & also enrolled in a points program they offer. They have very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable staff. Update: Incredibly convenient their "correction" email they had supposedly sent out before shows up 30 minutes after I leave. Unbelievable. Response: If you cared about loyal customers, you would have honored your mistake like most other companies do or offered some kind of alternative solution. All I got was a go f yourself. You don't give a shi!t if you lose loyal customers as long as your bottom line isn't affected. Also, it's bullsh!t your system wouldn't be able to process any of that. I tried every flavor that I thought fit my favorite flavor profile.. she was very knowledgeable about the flavors and super nice and helpful! She suggested a juice that tasted just like NuGrape, my favorite grape soda that is almost impossible to find now except at Cracker Barrel.. I was amazed how spot on it was.. There were two people in the store a lady named B.T. and the gentleman who owns it (I can't remember his name.....sorry man!). I received a WEALTH of information including why it works, proper dosing and forms of intake. They have tinctures and many forms of edibles in different dosage options. Poor Service I went in to exchange an eGo AIO as it was defective. I spoke with Hayden, the manager, as well as 2 other employees. I had my receipt for purchase 10 days ago. They were resolute in refusing to understand my issue with the unit and refused a refund or exchange, simply pointing to a sign that stated all sales were final. I reiterated that the unit was defective and he suggested that I purchase another unit, perhaps a different type. I've been in several times before and the employees have consistently been smug and condescending. This was my 4th and final visit. I kept hoping I'd find a more amenable staff member with each visit but after wasting $30 on a defective ecigarette and the surly manager I'm done. read more

After taking a thirty min bus ride and twenty min walk to their 1st street location they told me they moved the kratom to Westgate. Another hour commute and they tell me they have the one I want but their "kratom guy" isn't there so they can't go in the back and get the one I want. THAT THEY HAVE ON HAND! I went in with questions about the CBD oil, since I have had a horrible sinus infection that has lasted 6 months. It was so bad that I had to have 3 surgeries to correct it. I was helped by BT, and she was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I have been on the CBD oil for about 2 months now and it has helped the inflammation amazingly well! I am a huge fan of it, because it has allowed me to slowly get off of the anti-inflammatory steroids that I have been on for so long. My mother runs the farmers market in Buda, and has spoken with Bhada and has told me that he is a great guy also. This place was very nice. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and even recognized (because I was wearing my EMS shirt, duh) that I am eligible for a discount, something I'm horrible about remembering. The shop is clean but could use a little sitting area if people wanted to sit down and sample some flavors. That aside this is easy to find on West Gate just off Ben White (across from Central Market and Regal West Gate) there's a Juiceland next door. I love that this is in my neighborhood!! read more

Nice store and the people seemed eager to help. I was looking for CBD oil as I had tried some with good results and wanted to find a storefront I could purchase from. I asked to see the lab sheet for what they called their house brand of CBD tincture (all they offered) called Grassroots CBD Oil. No further identification on the label regarding the source. I was handed a lab report for Empire Extracts, which might well be the source, but, the report wasn't for CBD Tincture, it was for Plant Flower - Cured, Strain: Boax. It was a half-hearted attempt at best and downright misleading at worse. I didn't want to argue further with the guy and bought some of their product hoping for the best. Compared to the results I had experienced with another product I had used, the Grassroots has been a disappointment. The relief I had come to expect isn't there. Further research has found Grassroots Heals website which appears to match the label on the product. They don't publish their lab reports, but indicate that they do blend oils from a variety of sources. Sort of the blended Scotch vs. Single Malt style of production. I would prefer to have a CBD tincture that is derived from a single source. Or, if not, one with current and consistent test results for each batch. I don't think the Grassroots product will be this one. If only AVS offered a few more choices I might be back to comparison shop. Instead, my search will continue for a store that does supply a product with current testing that indicates the levels of potency contained in the bottle I'm purchasing. Hopefully a store that offers a variety of choices as well. read more

I actually give it 4.5 stars but Yelp doesn't give that option. I stopped into this new Austin Vape & Smoke location yesterday to check it out. First off I have to say that I love the 1st location. After 30 yrs of smoking cigs I'm now smoke free and loving it! Vaping has changed my world and I love their Prof Whyte's line of 100% organic VG juices. They have all gone above and beyond to help me at the 1st St. location and now going into this new store has proved the same. BT was the employee on staff and the moment I walked in she greeted me with a bright cheerful hello. The shelves at this new store are still be filled so just bare with them as they make their transition in. BT was even kind enough and happy to dig through a couple of bags to find a product I was looking for. I will definitely go back when I'm in the area. Keep up the good work! There products are ridiculously expensive and on top of it I was sold a shawty Eleaf that died out on my less than a month ago. I came in yesterday showed my product to one of the women here, she said for sure Theyd be able to swap it out at least refund it the next day when her manager got back in. When I came in today to talk to the manager she was very short with me and promptly said no there's nothing we can do to help. That equates to the customer as we don't want your business. I'm an avid vapor and they definitely lost A consumer. Not long after that product gave out on me I went to create a sick and was greeted with amazingly helpful man and human beings in general. Not only were they amazingly helpful they treated me like a customer. I walked out of there with a smaller mod for 40 bucks had it for a month and then that battery started wigging out on me too!!! So I took it back to create a cig and with no issues the store manager had them swap me out for a more expensive model at no charge. Didn't even ask me for receipt which I had. I will be getting all of my ecig supplies from create a Cigg from now on. They even help me get my coil started which is something I was told they don't normally do. All in all really bad experience here. The managers a tall blonde lady who acts like she's having a party when people come in and is not very thoughtful of others Who are in the room trying to give her their money.
