I really dig Sprouts and I continue to keep them in my grocery mix as I have phased out Mr Butts due to their now more frequent price hikes. But there's a lot of positives here, and sometimes you can score some great deals and I love the selection here too - has everything I need. Their produce is usually very fresh here and I do find some good sales. I migrate to the back area where they have packaged fruit and sometimes can find a half off deal. I utilize the app with store coupons, and when you snip them on your phone and plug your phone number into the kiosk it will automatically deduct the coupons you clipped! Awesome sauce. I like to also migrate back to the clearance section as sometimes you can find a deal - like 99 cent cans of Pineapple Poppi soda. Well I tried one first - and it is pretty darn good - not too shabby! So I got 6. Thanksgiving I scored this awesome 3LB honey ham for $12 which was normally $30, warmed it up in the oven- wow! Way way better than ham slices you get at the deli. The staff here has always been gracious and helpful. They had accepted returns with a receipt and I usually get store credit since I shop there weekly. I love their deli with sausages - at times the can be 99 cents per for chicken and jalapeno sausages and they are fantastic. And let's not forget about their awesome sandwiches. The Italian is my favorite but only $6-7 a sandwich when they cost double or more with Austin restaurants. read more

I've been shopping at Sprouts for years, mostly for the hair and vitamin section, but this visit reminded me why it's one of my favorite places to shop overall. I came in for just a couple things but ended up staying longer than expected because the specials were too good to ignore! While I was browsing the tea aisle, a friendly associate named Jason noticed I might need help and kindly asked if I had been assisted. I told him I was looking for an energy drink--something flavorful I could pour over ice, but without real sugar or inflammatory sweeteners. Jason listened carefully, asked a few follow-up questions, and then confidently recommended Celsius. He explained why he stood by the brand, and the second I took a sip, I was OBSESSED. No high fructose corn syrup, just clean energy and flavor. I never would've discovered it without him! Jason was kind, well-spoken, genuinely helpful, and made the entire experience feel personalized and thoughtful. In fact, I even told him I'd offer him an interview at my financial firm if he ever wanted a change--he's that good. Sprouts continues to stand out not only for its amazing product selection and values, but for the quality of people it hires. We don't have a Sprouts in Kerrville so I'm sure to stop and stock up when I'm in Austin or San Antonio! Sprouts pre-Covid was really good, especially for healthy snacks, supplements and frozen foods. Sprouts during Covid is a bit of a hit or miss - the produce is sometimes old, I once had a milk can cracked that leaked all over me as I lifted it, and I think the pandemic stress is getting to it for sure. I still end up here at least once a month for specialty items, especially their in-house brand for frozen food (really good vegetarian burger patties). read more

I usually like it going there, but just had strange experience with their outdated return process that left some bad taste in my mouth. We bought some coconut that gone bad but didn't keep the receipt because everything is paid digitally and recorded in database nowadays at all retails. Went back to ask them if they can check credit card transaction history and get us a refund. The store said they have to SCAN driver's license and the result has to show up in their system. Super weird, they refused to check with the credit card in our hand that was used, or manually type our names to check their system. The credit card used was from overseas so the way the first name and last name are presented might be slightly different in their format, but it's definitely the same as the driver's license. It's either their system is from the 80s, or the manager couldn't care less to help. She kept saying we have no record showing you bought this item here. She couldn't explain why they do it this way. TBH, it was like a few bucks, didn't think it'll take so much effort to deal with. Any decent stores would just refund it because they should be able to stand behind their product quality. read more

Pretty cool organic and health-conscious grocery store that has your basics as well as some things you wouldn't find anywhere else. Most of the time I drop in for a beer to-go (*beer selection is somewhat limited*)as the greenbelt is very close by but browsing through the aisles they have a large selection of organic produce, vitamins, cheeses, breads and more juices than you'd care to image. This place has been around awhile although under a different grocery store name in the past. I'm sure with how Austin is becoming it will last for awhile! Sprouts is a great grocery that fills a niche need that Central/HEB/TJ/Whole foods cannot fill. The primary reason I go here is for the produce. Their organic veggie section is the largest and the cheapest compared to all the grocery stores in the vicinity. Their promotions can get you some great deals (lots of BOGO, buy one get 1/2 off, clearances, etc.). If I were to comment on the meat and seafood, they fall short of central market, which is the gold standard for meats and seafood in the area. Their premade food section is about HEB grade - nothing really to rave about. Gee. My review is sounding more negative as I write. It certainly wasn't intended that way so I'll finish with a key positive. Sprouts has several coupons on their digital app and combined with the coupons they send from time to time (10 off 75), you can get a spectacular deal on your purchase, especially if you buy a lot of produce. read more

Kind of disappointed in Sprouts. We ordered a pre-made Thanksgiving meal and I can't say I loved it. I guess it's our fault for thinking the Sprouts deli was making it in-store. Instead we got a turkey, which was good enough, but the sides were all pre-packaged with a bunch of preservatives. Not what we were looking for when we were ordering from a healthy grocery store like Sprouts. On top of that, the pickup process was pretty disjointed. Nobody knew if we were supposed to go through the checkout or not, even though the email said to do so and show the barcode. I showed it and the guy had no idea what to do with it. The food tasted salty and processed but I guess we didn't have to do the cooking, right? If I ever have to do my own Thanksgiving again, I'll try Whole Foods I guess. Damn you, Covid! read more

This is the worst Sprouts I have encountered in the Austin area. They were out of hand wipes. The carts were not being wiped down and nothing to wipe the carts down with. I was sent to an aisle for hand sanitizer and it was empty. I was then sent to the wash down station and only cold water was available. I went to the restroom and hand paper towels were available to dry my hands. I ordered a sandwich. I had to wait 10 minutes before being assisted. Directions were not followed for a simple sandwich. The checkout cashier was not friendly and very unpersonable. I have never witnessed a poor display of customer service. The COVID-19 protocols are a joke. Three hours into a store opening and everything is empty for hand cleaning and sanitization. It was obvious this store is not concerned. read more

I'm a sprouts fan. This store is mostly friendly, but I felt compelled to mention that I stopped in for some quick shopping at 9:19. The store closes nation-wide at 10pm. This one is no different, however there was a tall guy with a backward hat cursing in the produce section and whipping his head around to the door whenever someone walked in "what the &$@% why are people still coming in here, freaking ridiculous, etc... Very unpleasant to be greeted with this vibe when you're about to drop some hard earned cash. As I checked out at 9:37 he was hassling the female cashier to make an announcement to "tell everyone to get the hell out of here, c'mon". Even though he did this multiple times she was reluctant and didn't rush anyone out. She was a pleasant when I arrived. The other cashier, a young guy checked me out was pleasant as well. read more

I shop here every weekend but never used their app bar code to get my groceries. I tried to use it and the cashier was just super rude. It was like she didn't want me to use the sprouts app barcode. I don't understand why they poster every where to use the app when the cashier are super unhelpful. Definitely not shopping here anymore for groceries. The other night I came in and on the way through the parking lot, I saw one of the meat guys outside smoking, right in front of the store. I don't care that he was smoking, just that he still had his meat coat and apron on. That's so disrespectful of the job, the store, the customers, and the product. Edit- over a year later- I stop in to get some produce fir work, and there is only one register open and 6 people in line fir it. The clerk is going incredibly slow. Painfully slow. Two women and a man, all seemingly management of some sort, all just talking and looking at the customers and they are trying to decide whether or not to open another register, but then start talking about some stamps or other, then the clerk gets in on the conversation, and she hasn't finished a single transaction in 5 minutes, meanwhile the line is only getting bigger. After a few more minutes if whatching these people do absolutely nothing to help the customers in line. I left my produce. Management needs to be concerned with the customers experience. I used to spent around $100 every week there for more than 4 years, but a lot of things changed here. First and the most important to me: the quality of fresh products diminished and the price is too high for this poor quality. Despite the store trying to give some coupon to attract people, I saw the clientele going away. Last time I went there I had a weird situation with a cashier (I think James). He was just rude to me. Spend my money where I want is the only power I have. So because the quality/price ratio is bad I decided to go away too. So now I shop at Central Market Westgate (5 minutes away). The store is bigger, the choice is much larger, the quality of fresh products is better, and the price is often cheaper depending on my shopping list. Plus people over there are friendly. read more

I'd call this a neighborhood grocery store since it caters to a particular demographic. Pricing may or may not be more than your local HEB, it just depends. Quality of the produce is generally ok. Selections are more limited and they tend to carry some brands/items that aren't run of the mill. I mostly come for the deli, most the soups are good and they have some salad/prepared meals for less than $7. I also have on occasion had sandwiches made to order (though the accuracy and speed vary wildly depending on who is behind the counter). Alacrity is not generally an attribute, but friendliness is. read more
