Their dingy old studios in Kent Town were run down and not very noticeable at all, now they are located in the corner of the car park of the Ent Cent and on a huge frontage intersection. Their TV screens, banners, writing and advertising are very big and bold and always catch your attention, working on me every time as I sit at the lights and think about my Tv shows. Inside is lovely, the staff are friendly (not that the general public go here very often) and the station is very popular and well-rated.

It's a pretty impressive building I suppose, faces of news readers and currents television shows strung up on the sides, it's a great reminder that packed to the rafters is on and you're missing it and you need to call someone to record it RIGHT NOW. is it good to induce those kinds of heart stopping panicky situations at a major intersection? Great marketing guys, but you may just be the death of your avid TV fans. Channel 7 hosts tv shows I talk about with my hairdresser, that's my dirty little secret.

Sure, the lineup can now be accessed by a click of the Television…read moreremote, but then how else would I be able to read the quality column 'The Big Question', where people write in with important queries such as 'Who was that hot old guy in that movie 'Gigi?' Is he still alive, and if so, can I have a copy of the DVD and maybe his home address?' And, 'That McDreamy guy on Grey's Anatomy, any idea what shampoo he uses?' Another fave of mine is 'Unpacked', where the writer summarises TV series for people who are stupid, eg: 'Two and a Half Men is a sitcom about two men and a boy living together' and 'Private Practice is a show set in a medical clinic.' I have been getting the TV Guide every Sunday my whole darn life and technology will not put paid to this tradition. As for the rest of the paper, it's alright I guess.

Personally I love the Sunday Mail (2nd best to Saturday's Advertiser though purely based on…read morecontent). I do love the tv guide inside but find I just look at the EPG on the screen nowadays rather than the book. But sometimes the teenager likes to try and do the crosswords in there. I love the local news aspect of the paper. They cover all important local news as well important world news you should maybe know about. They also have some info on some country events or news, which I like to read about. There's also some great sections with stuff to do or discounts on things, especially in school holidays. They do some great "special features" as well when required due to the enormity of a particular story to ourselves, it's readers. I, in fact, get it delivered every week and at a cheaper price than I can buy it for from the shops and it is there when I wake up. Easy peasy.

The Bigpond Adelaide Film Festival (or BAFF, as we call it) is one of the few festivals in Adelaide…read morethat we can truly say is world class. Held biannually across several city venues, the festival features and premieres great films made all over the world and in Adelaide. This year I got a six film pass and saw a wide variety of films - films about artists, foreign films, dramas, comedies and documentaries. Most of the films I enjoyed a lot, and none were terrible or subpar films. As well as traditional films, BAFF features video art exhibitions by both local and international artists, and in 2011 a large-scale multimedia work which could be accessed through smart-phones. One of the best aspects of BAFF is its seed funding of Australian and South Australian films. This has funded some of the best Australian films, including Look Both Ways, My Year WIthout Sex, Snowtown, Shut Up LIttle Man and Samson and Delilah. Thankfully, for those of us who experience festival fatigue in March, the 2013 festival will be in October.
