So, I popped in, and since I was also hungry, I guess that sort of also gave me a good reason. Look, it certainly wasn't all that great, and in a way I guess it did have something to do with the service. However, the chips certainly weren't all that bad, and the price wasn't too bad either. The only thing is that I've been eating way too many beef burgers over the past month so I wanted a change. There aren't as many Chicken burgers on the menu but I really liked the idea of the Spicy Chicken. Buttermilk fried chicken, chipotle mayo, coleslaw, pickled jalapeno and red onion (I think it was pickled.) Sounds good right? Because it was- it was absolutely divine. The chicken was fried hard so the coating is shatteringly crunchy yet the buttermilk helps the meat remain tender and succulent, and it was seasoned just right. I'm really digging the addition of coleslaw in their burgers, it's a good idea. Chipotle mayo, jalapeno and onion goes well on anything, and works on the burger. But the best thing about this burger is that it delivers on heat because it really packs alot of punch! I'm not sure if they ramped up the chilli in the mayo or it's the japapeno or something else....but I was really impressed by the heat. That being said it won't blow you head off and you can still taste the food. The spicy chicken is pretty cheap at $8.90 and I usually get it with Tater Tots bring it to $12.90, which is really good considering I can barely finish both even after a heavy tennis session! Guess I'm a regular at NB at this point and I'll keep coming back whenever I need an affordable burger fix.

To be honest I only ever visited the old shop at this location once in 30 years that I can remember. I was happy to see lots of full booths, a line up and a handful of diligent burger scientists behind the counter and in the kitchen whipping up some magic at a great price. Less than $40 for 2 burgers, chilli cheese fries, a beer and a cider. And not some mass produced, plastic takeaway burger. We're talking juicy meaty patties, crunchy fries and crunchy fried chicken, not greasy, disappointing or fatty. We shared our burgers to get the most out of our visit. Soooo glad we did! I honestly couldn't decide which burger I liked more! Service was friendly, upbeat, prompt and polite. That's a bloody hard combination to find when the food comes out so quickly in my experience! Every punter in seemed happy to be there. Absolutely get in here for one of these belter burgers. Now, i wonder which Nordburger does it best...? Onto the others...!

We had a soft shell crab wok special with curry and egg sauce and honestly I would eat that for breakfast. Or desert. So good. It was tough to choose what to have, but we had that, and a beef rib curry with tofu tord to start. Both were very good and make me excited to try the rest of the menu. Check it out! It's better than most, if not all eateries on south Hutt. It's not cheap but is very tasty.

Best Thai outside of Thailand…read more I live in the US and was in Adelaide recently. In Portland, Oregon, USA, we have a Thai restaurant almost on every block. There are so many. However, American Thai is designed for the American palate and therefore not subtle. Kin Kin was delectable food presented artfully and no nonsense. The pork belly dish was particularly delectable. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, but we chose to sit inside. I was sharing with friends so we could try out a few different dishes. We ordered the Chicken Jungle Curry, Massman Beef, Larb Pork Salad and a Phad Tai as a bit of a filler. Everything was incredibly good. I was quite surprised by the salad which was excellent, I'm generally not much of a salad consumer, but this was fresh and delicious and the pork was really good. My pick of the meal probably the Jungle curry, or perhaps the Massman, its too hard to decide. Prices are a little bit higher than you can usually expect along Gouger St, about $15-20 per dish and a little bit higher as things get fancier, however, not really unreasonable.

Shallot cake - I think this is the make-of-break dish; too often it is bland; too often the pancake is doughy. Chanay's were slightly doughy in places--thus, undercooked; I'd prefer a little crisp in places--through full of flavour. 3/5. BBC - Generous serving. Lots of bean curd--always a good thing; I feel I am getting my moneys worth that way. Lots of cabbage--something lacking with East Taste's version. Quite tasty. 4/5. S&P eggplant - Appealing to the eye--they left a lot of the skin on, which breaks things up and makes for a more inviting looking dish. Lots of flavour. A little soggy. 3.5/5. If it wasn't for the ambience I'd be more impressed with Chanay--it was dead; it always seems dead. The food was quite impressive--much better than a lot of places on the strip. The prices were fair--for two of us, including a bottle of wine of decent wine, it came to a measly $26/pp. The service was friendly--really friendly--and efficient. I'll be back--after I have tried the rest of Gouger Street. You see, I have vowed to stop plonking myself down at East Taste as a safe option all the time and to expand my tastebuds. Perfect cafe for a post-hike brunch…read more Loved the atmosphere and interior design. Had a very unique feel you don't get in most Adelaide cafes. The breakfast menu was very reasonably priced. Best Eggs Benedict I have had in a long time and paid under $15 for them. A friend of mine ordered a stack of pancakes which was beautifully presented and were absolutely delicious.

Perched upon a small hill on North East Road at the intersection of Grand Junction, the location is perfect and you always notice the restaurant from either side of the road as you drive past. Inside is furnished very nice, with lots of large tables for groups, benches and dark wooden tones. The food is a variety of different Asian flavours with stir fry's, curries, entrees, some Indian influences and noodle bowl dishes. They also have a lunch menu which is really cheap and tastes amazing! I honestly don't go here that often, even though it is close to home. It's just not allowed apparently, which I find a bit silly. She was willing to pay more as well! Also, mixed reports around the service which at times can be overwhelming, and other times underwhelming. Not withstanding these points, the food is really delicious and fresh. My pick for tasty lunches, delicious dinners and takeaway that's a cut above the rest in this area.
