Juan was very communicative during the initial booking phase and leading all the way up to the event day. Prices were extremely reasonable, especially for the area and delivery to the beach. We ordered 4 meats and 2 chips + queso and all of the toppings came with it as well as flour and corn tortillas. That amount of food easily fed my entire party (30 people) with enough leftover for us to have lunch the next day as well. The food was absolutely delicious, everyone raved about it all through the weekend. We especially loved the shrimp, birria and chips + queso are a must! My first visit, I tried one Chicken and one Chorizo taco. The Chorizo was fantastic, but the flavor of the Chicken completely surprised me. Over the next few weeks, I tried the Pork Belly, the Birria, and the Shrimp. All were excellent. The shrimp was plump, the Birria was tender, and if I had to pick a favorite, the Pork Belly probably takes the win. One thing about all of Juan's tacos, they pack them so full the filling barely fits in the tortilla. On my last visit, I went with one Pork Belly taco and one Chicken taco. The staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere is just fun. While I was down there, Juan was in the process of opening his new location. Despite having two employees standing at the front talking behind the register, the restroom had no toilet paper. When we placed our order, we were told they were out of yucca balls and that they also had no beer available. We ordered a tripleta, beef patties, and juice instead. What was most frustrating was that the customer who ordered immediately after us was able to order and receive yucca balls. We asked about the discrepancy, and the explanation we were given was that she had ordered them earlier. However, we clearly heard her place the order while standing there. A simple, honest response--such as acknowledging that there had been a misunderstanding and apologizing for serving the last order to another customer--would have gone a long way. Instead, the interaction left us feeling singled out and, honestly, racially profiled because the other customer was Hispanic. Ironically, we are Hispanic as well, which made the situation even more disappointing. To top it off, the "tripleta" sandwich was not an authentic tripleta. If the chef wants to call it a traditional tripleta, it should follow the classic preparation and the meats that make a tripleta what it is. Otherwise, it would be better to rename the sandwich rather than market it as a traditional tripleta. Anyone from Puerto Rico--or anyone who has enjoyed authentic tripletas at Puerto Rican restaurants--will immediately notice the difference and likely be disappointed. The sandwich would also benefit greatly from properly seasoning both the pork and the steak. Adding the traditional mayo-ketchup sauce would go a long way toward delivering the authentic flavor people expect from a tripleta. The beef empanadas made the one star in this review since they were decently stuffed. Just need to work better on the wrapping. I posted a pic. But at least they were made and not bought frozen. I understand that mistakes happen, but honesty, consistency, authenticity, and good customer service are what determine whether customers return. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations.

Guadalajara Mexican Grill Panama City Beach, FL…read more So I'm out here grinding all week in Panama City Beach, working like I'm trying to earn Employee of the Year for a company that doesn't even give out awards and then BOOM I stumble into Guadalajara Mexican Grill. Let me tell you something I wasn't ready. First off, they hit you with chips and salsa like it's a personal challenge. I'm talking refill after refill at one point I stopped eating them not because I was full but because I felt like I was disrespecting my main course. Them chips were putting up MVP numbers. Then the food comes out... The nachos? Looked like they called a team meeting in the kitchen and said, "Let's melt ALL the cheese we got and just figure it out later." Steak piled on like it owed somebody money. Every chip fighting for its life under that blanket of cheese. Then somebody at the table orders fries with ground beef and cheese hold on WHO approved this masterpiece?? This is the kind of dish you eat and immediately start questioning your life choices but you keep going anyway because it's too good to stop. Zero regrets. Maybe a little shame but zero regrets. Now the fajitas They came out sizzling like they had something to prove. Chicken, steak, shrimp EVERYBODY showed up. Peppers and onions dancing like it's a Friday night in Miami. The smell alone had me ready to stand up and clap. And then... the grand finale A steak with shrimp on top, sitting there like it just closed a real estate deal. Perfectly cooked, juicy, shrimp seasoned like they got a passport. That plate didn't come to play it came to dominate. Sides? Rice, beans, guac, sour cream basically a full supporting cast that deserved their own spin-off show. By the end of the meal, I'm sitting there leaning back, shirt slightly tighter, questioning if I can make it back to work tomorrow or if I need to call out due to fajita overload.
