Best taco I've had. I don't typically love a pork taco but they nailed it. All self serve, you order at the front and pick it up.

We ended up at Juan's Tacos after our first choice was closed, and unfortunately the experience lived up to their slogan "Juan's tacos suck." When you walk in, it is an order at the counter and seat yourself setup, which gives it a fast food kind of vibe. The menu consists of laminated sheets near the register, which already made the place feel a bit underwhelming. The prices were honestly shocking. One taco was over $6, and all sides and drinks are separate. We ordered a side of chips and salsa and queso, along with a burrito, a kids taco, a steak taco, and a bowl. One odd thing was the lack of basic toppings or modifications. There was no sour cream, no olives, and strangely no lettuce. After we sat down, we noticed a kids corner, which was nice. However, there were no high chairs, which made it inconvenient. It took about 10 minutes to get our food. While we were getting settled and grabbing drinks, the ice ran out and the sodas were flat. The chips, queso, and salsa came out first, and that was one of the worst parts of the experience. The chips tasted like cheap bagged tortilla chips, and the salsa seemed like it came from a jar. When the main food came out, it was disappointing. Everything was served on flour tortillas, the cheese tasted like mozzarella, and the kids taco was just meat in a tortilla. Everything was extremely salty. My husband could not even finish his burrito. My bowl was especially odd with cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and sweet pickled onions. The birria meat was very salty and tasted more like a crockpot roast than anything else. There really was no reason to complain to the staff. I am fine paying for what we ordered, and I do not think there was anything they could have done to make it right. None of us finished our meals, and we will not be going out of our way to come back. read more

Stopped in Juan's Taco for a quick lunch today after a long travel day. I ordered the nachos with chicken for my protein. I was very surprised at the nice portion when they arrived at the table. His response is hilarious always wishing success and hopefully he learns how to speak to people, especially when HE needs customers. Good luck but still do not recommend. First of all, be warned you have to get a free parking pass before you park or security will stop you. You can't even park in a "Retail Parking" spot without one. The food here is very mid. Pricey for what it is. Everything is either over seasoned or underseasoned. The chips were a little stale and the salsa was very bland. Tasted like mostly ground up tomatoes. And it's not free like most places. It costs extra. The saving grace was the carnitas taco. That alone was five stars. Absolutely exceptional flavor and texture. read more

I drove in a golf cart across PC just to get to this taco spot just to be told you cant go in with a golf cart at laketown wharf hope this saves the trouble for someone as desperate as me to get my hands on the carnitas tacos !!!! The best mexican restaurant I've been to in my life. The atmosphere is so welcoming and the food is just as amazing. I got the chicken quesadilla, and the chips and salsa. Finally found a taco joint worthy of my taste buds. Nice simple menu and easy ordering. Very clean and relaxing dining area. Outdoor seating near the water but I think you have to order to go if you want to take your meal out there. I tried both the chicken and ground beef (no carne asada option which is usually my litmus test). Both had delectable seasoning (worthy of my taste buds) and a very generous portion of protein. So if you're in Panama City Beach and want seriously delicious taco then stop in Juan Taco. Also, check for their daily specials I was told the have a steak quesadilla... One more thing. We catered Juan Taco for our beach wedding on June 26th, 2026, and have nothing but great things to say about the experience! Juan was very communicative during the initial booking phase and leading all the way up to the event day. Prices were extremely reasonable, especially for the area and delivery to the beach. We ordered 4 meats and 2 chips + queso and all of the toppings came with it as well as flour and corn tortillas. That amount of food easily fed my entire party (30 people) with enough leftover for us to have lunch the next day as well. The food was absolutely delicious, everyone raved about it all through the weekend. We especially loved the shrimp, birria and chips + queso are a must! Juan was so nice to my sister in laws as well who were in charge of coordinating the food making it to the beach. Juan's Tacos is on the ground level of Laketown Wharf, where I stayed in a condo for six weeks. During that time, I had the absolute pleasure of grabbing tacos there multiple times. My first visit, I tried one Chicken and one Chorizo taco. The Chorizo was fantastic, but the flavor of the Chicken completely surprised me. Over the next few weeks, I tried the Pork Belly, the Birria, and the Shrimp. All were excellent. The shrimp was plump, the Birria was tender, and if I had to pick a favorite, the Pork Belly probably takes the win. One thing about all of Juan's tacos, they pack them so full the filling barely fits in the tortilla. On my last visit, I went with one Pork Belly taco and one Chicken taco. The staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere is just fun. While I was down there, Juan was in the process of opening his new location. He'd posted a bunch of videos on social media about it, and he really comes across as a genuinely great guy. I wish him and his whole team nothing but the best. Juan Love!!! read more

Visited Juan Taco yesterday while on vacation in PCB. Starting with Drew -- he was so welcoming with a personality bigger than Texas where we came here from. Walked in a stranger and felt like we were regulars when we left. The vibe is so eclectic and exactly what you'd want a beachside taco spot to feel like. The food was great. Highly recommend the spicy cucumbers. What a fun and delicious menu item. My only complaint and I loosely even say complaint ... the chips were meh but the salsa was delicious and was surely freshly made. The tacos and quesadillas we ordered were great as well! Juan Taco was our last food stop as we headed back to Orlando. The Menu is simple. Pick your protein or veggie option and choose from tacos, nachos, burritos or quesadillas. We tried everything but the burritos. My step dad got two beef tacos and loved them. My mom had the carnitas nachos which had goat cheese. It added a tang to the nachos that was appreciated and different. My kid had the staple kids meal: chicken and cheese quesadilla. It was loaded with juicy chicken and cheese. She enjoyed it. Get tons of napkins! I had one chicken taco, one shrimp taco, and chips and salsa. The flavors were bold and the proteins cooked perfectly. I added the homemade taco sauce to everything. The salsa was a bit on the thick side with a sweet flavor. So if that's not your thing skip that. Loved the humor and fun spirit of the place. Lots of dick pics drawn on the bathroom walls. This is hands down my favorite restaurant from when I lived on the beach. Its a family owned small shop run by trained chefs. The food is so delicious it fires up the 'pain water' just thinking about it. The kitchen and service staff are exceptionally skilled. The thing that sets it apart, though, is just how goddamned smart and thoughtful the two chefs involved are with their menu. This is especially true when they hold special events (e.g. tapas nights) when they flex their talents and really lay their hearts on the proverbial table. We grabbed dinner one night at Juan Taco. It's located at the Wharf and you have to get a parking pass from a security guard if you are not staying at that hotel. It wasn't a problem though.
