They have so much more room, and the layout is just beautiful and I love there color scheme, especially the gold everywhere. The vibe when you walk in is so welcoming, from Krystal at the front desk, who always starts a conversation with you, remembers everything about your past conversations, she is a doll, and before you sit down, she offers you a complimentary water, coffee, tea, or wine , even though out your appointment. She is the first person you see when you arrive and the last person you see when you leave. She is the perfect person for her position. Amber is my stylist from day one, and she is spectacular, very knowledgeable regarding color, highlights, haircuts and hairstyles. She has never done me wrong. Amber listens to what you like to have done, gives her opinion as well, and never fails you. I always come out of this salon, looking like a million dollars and 10 years younger. Thank you all for your hard work that you put in, day and out to provide such perfection.

Turn and run! I will be paying for my decision to trust Chrissy at this salon for YEARS to come. I…read morehad long silky hair that was very healthy, just yesterday. Today I have chemically burned, broken hair that is so dry that it looks and feels like HAY. If I don't immediately get to someone who knows how to treat this kind of damage, I will have NO hair within a few weeks, and I am not exaggerating in the slightest. It breaks if I touch it and there are pieces of broken hair all over my blouse as I write this, along with a lot of tears. Yesterday I went to Salon Evol and was exceptionally clear about what I was looking for. I asked if it was possible to get a body wave or perm so that I could end up with large, wide, bouncy curls, because my hair took a long time to blow out and was frizzy if I let it dry on its own. My schedule is getting busier and I needed something easier and faster. I said I hated "beach hair" and didn't want a messy look; I wanted defined, large curls and to be able to wash my hair and not style it but still have it look nice. Chrissy told me she could do that and that the only thing I might need to do is use a curling iron on some pieces around my face. Then she did the process. When she was finished, my hair resembled a messy FRENCH POODLE. It was skinny, wormy strands of incredibly messy hair and would have been a bad look even for the 80's. There were no real curls at all, just mess, and certainly nothing any person would say looked like a defined curl. I was in shock. I went home and tried to wash it out. Not possible. I ended up going back there today - because I apparently needed more proof that I couldn't trust this person. I feel like an idiot and all I can think of is "Fool me once, shame on you, Fool me twice, shame on me." Chrissy told me that my hair would be in great condition if she reversed the process. I let her do the reverse process. And now? My hair is so brittle that just running a brush through it is impossible. The brush fills up with broken, brittle balls of hair with even the lightest stroke. I will now have to find someone who actually knows what they're doing and can treat horribly chemically damaged hair. It will be YEARS before all this damaged hair grows out. I have never been to any hairdresser worse than this woman. I will be paying for years for my mistake and for her ignorance. All she had to do was tell me that what I wanted wasn't possible and I would have thanked her and left. Instead? She decided that she'd rather take my money and ruin my hair than have an empty chair until her next scheduled appointment. I'm an international performer and this will adversely affect my career. I don't want even my husband or close friends to see me like this. My reason for going to get a process in the first place was that my hair took too long to style. NOW?? I will be spending SO MUCH MORE time doing deep conditioning treatments, going to real professionals for their treatments, changing my whole routine and regimen for months and years to come. Why do women do things like this to other women? Is it jealousy? Ignorance? Just for fun? All I can say is NEVER go to Salon Evol and I hope this woman retires or has her license taken away. See before and after photos below. I won't even post one of how it looks after reversing the tight perm she gave me.

She saw what was done and really couldn't do anything to fix it. The trim was incomplete and each side looks different. It will take 4-6 months for my hair to grow out so it can be corrected. As the instructor and stylist were discussing, it was clear that the stylist did not understand what the instructor was showing her. She did not seem ready to be working on clients. I hope the school takes action.

I had some wonderful teachers during my time at this beauty school--truly dedicated, knowledgeable,…read moreand patient. They worked hard to give us a good education and always did their best, even when the resources around them weren't ideal. However, I want future students to be aware of some ongoing issues on the administrative side. There is a significant miscommunication between the business office and students, and the processing of graduation paperwork is extremely slow. Many of us have had to wait 4-6 weeks for our paperwork to be sent to the state, which delays being able to schedule our cosmetology or nail technician licensing exams. It almost feels like the paperwork gets "stuck" somewhere, and no one can give a clear answer on the status. Additionally, the facility itself could be better maintained. There were several times when the bathrooms did not have adequate soap or paper towels. The teachers do what they can, but this is clearly an administration and management issue, not an instructor issue. Overall: great teachers, frustrating administration. I hope they address these problems because the students and educators deserve better.
