She is always planning fun activities for our daughter, giving me incredibly helpful strategies and tips to help my daughter at home and has such a sweet energy about her. Thanks to all of her support, our daughters sensory struggles have greatly improved. Our daughter throws her arms up in excitement and shouts "YAY!" every week when we pull into the parking lot. She does an amazing job of interacting with my daughter, pushing her to try new things, and giving both my daughter and me the tools that we need to help her be successful. She has provided me with abundant resources to set us up for success at home, and has equipped me with a wealth of information as my husband and I learn how to navigate my daughter's needs. The work they did and the tools they gave us really helped my son which leads me to why I'm giving it two stars instead of five.... Scheduling is terrible. They have a strict absence / makeup policy (85%) which I totally get. However, they don't hold up their end of the bargain. I had an emergency c-section and was back to speech 2 weeks later because we were told that if we missed more we could lose our sessions. Then despite attending we ended up losing our spot anyways because they no longer had a provider to fill it. Then months later, we were finally placed with another therapist only to be told that she would no longer be working with MeBe and they don't have another provider to take over after only 4 sessions. When I reached out to scheduling asking if they had any potential spots, they were not helpful at all. They like to offer telehealth as an option but that just does not fit well for my active two year-old (we even gave it a try, just in case.) They had asked if I could give them more availability and when I did I received zero reply. At this point, I am really tired of the lack of consistency and poor communication on MeBe's end. The speech therapists are lovely, but now unfortunately I would not recommend MeBe.

This review is for OT. Would leave zero stars if I could. The billing has been a constant issue,…read moreeven when we cancel appointments, we still end up getting charged. The sessions are advertised as 30 minutes, but in reality they feel much shorter. The therapist usually spends the first 5-10 minutes letting our son play, then about 15 minutes on actual therapy, and the last 10 minutes cleaning up and wrapping up the session. When I called to ask about it, the person I spoke with said it's because insurance only allows them to bill for 15 minutes of therapy. It's frustrating to pay so much when only about 15 minutes of the appointment is actual therapy time. Overall, we were not impressed and ultimately decided to pull our son out.

We have been going to My Kids Place since my son was 3 years old for Speech and OT but more…read moreregularly in 2024. He is now 5 and 1/2 years old. He has high sensory needs and severe speech and language delays. He loves the equipment and toys at this center for OT. Some speech sessions can be challenging because he's not motivated to talk, prefer to be under the table instead, etc. Our main Speech Therapist here is Ms. Vidya, she is fantastic! She has made so much progress with my son's speech. Chris and everyone here are very knowledgeable, experienced, and professional. These sessions not only have helped my son but also helped me with being a better primary caregiver for my son. It's really just from observing what work or doesn't work with my son during sessions and by asking questions to Chris and his team. One of the things that these sessions help me with is having a better understanding of my son's physical needs and being a better problem solver. For example, I was able to practice certain things outside of sessions to help my son with like desensitizing loud sound from hair clipper/hand dryer, putting on his clothes independently, etc. Overall, we are so grateful to have MyKidsPlace in our son's life.

We've been going to Oceanside Therapy Group (OTG) since February 2011(when my son was 6 months old)…read moretill present. We started with just our older daughter receiving speech therapy, then both my oldest daughter and son (we have have a 7 month old too now). My son started speech at exactly a year old due to him not talking. About 6 months after that both children started receiving occupational therapy. Both my kids have seen by Shari, Tony, Meg, Courtney, Mehgan, Mara, Erin, Sara and a few others when were filling in for someone else's cancelled appointment. I did learn (quickly by Shari when we first started) that if you don't keep going consistently its NOT going to help your child. You will also be charged $50 (or at least thats what it was at the time I paid for missing 2 sessions in a row ). If you or your child isn't happy with their current OTG therapist then tell Armida or the front desk and they will try to work your child in with another therapist that may be a better fit. OTG has grown so much in the years we've been going. When we started it was a waiting room with 2 - 2 seater love seats and a 3 seater couch, a receptionist (who wrote everything in pencil in individual scheduling books) and just a few speech therapists. Now they have almost the whole downstairs of the building and moved to electronic scheduling and 4 receptionists. We've had a few scheduling mix ups and problems but thats only been because I didn't pay attention to my calendar or listen to what I was told and when my kids appointments were. We moved in April 2012 down to Rancho Bernardo and made the drive (in morning rush hour traffic) 3 times a week. After 7 months we switched offices to something closer to us in RB (let's call that place # 2) and 3 months after switching to place #2 we switched back to OTG. The staff at place # 2 was not conducive for my kids and after a few therapists it just wasn't working for us. The only downfall was loosing our spots with Shari and Tony (the most sought after therapists) but we wanted them back and were put on a 'wait list' so to speak to be back on their schedules when a spot opened up that worked for both them and us. OTG also has an annual FREE family day with burgers, hot dogs, jump houses, relay games, face paint, balloons and just plain old outdoor fun for kids. They also participate in the ACT! for Military Families Autism 5k/10k every year too - my kids love going to both events :) Josh and Rebekah (the wonders of OTG) really put their hearts and souls into their business to make sure that the families they service get what they need. At times that comes at a sacrifice to their own children and most of the families don't realize what it takes to run a pediatric therapy office of this size. We will continue our services with OTG until the kids "graduate" - when that day comes I may cry just a tad bit!

I met the kid played without supervision. After this scenario the mother quit the services and I got fired. It's ok because I would rather be associated with a place that sends trained RBT's.
