I brought my car into this shop expecting a professional repair, and I'm honestly frustrated with the outcome. The damage I originally came in for was not properly fixed, and in some areas it looks like little to no effort was made to actually resolve the issue. Communication was also lacking throughout the process. I had to follow up multiple times just to get updates, and even then, the explanations I received were vague and didn't match the final result. When I picked up the car, it was clear the problem hadn't been fully addressed. The owner was very rude and aggressive towards me when I tried to solve new issues brought on by the mechanic and nothing was done to help the situation. For the amount of time and money spent, I expected a much higher level of workmanship and accountability. Instead, I'm left needing to take my vehicle somewhere else to have the job done correctly. I had an estimate done in January. I phoned in February & it wasn't completed. I phoned in April & the estimate wasn't completed. The receptionist phoned in June and said my estimate was $2,700. I went in to confirm in July & the owner said they didn't call me. Then went on to say I'm in the wrong place & never came in? He asked who did my estimate & I replied "you did"! Said his name is George and he doesn't do estimates. I told him you did mine. He said he didn't. I said he did. He said he didn't. He then asked me when I had my estimate. I told him it was in January & he then said "I probably did yours because I was doing the estimates in January"? Question is why is he arguing with me? He then told me I had to come back to do another? I told him he already did one! He said I would need to come back to have an estimate because he erased the photos! Very disappointed in their communication, quality of work was ok but I had a couple issues after the work was finished, the owner George was really nice till I brought the issues to his attention, the sheep's clothing came off and his true character was revealed. He became very rude. They used a pressure washer to clean my truck and blew two spots of paint off the hood, he said he won't fix it because the paint just fell off lol. Amazing service! A tree fell and hit my car during a snow storm putting a huge hole in my bumper and bending the hood. Due to the covid the work took a little longer than expected but George was really nice and rented a car for me- I was borrowing my moms and really needed to get it back so she could stop rescheduling her appointments. Last year driving down 108 a deer decided to crash into the side of my 2000 BMW Z3 roadster, breaking the driver's window and destroying the mirror. I was quickly corrected that my feelings about the car did not matter to them or my insurance company. My son gave me this car for Christmas. We aren't well off so this was an unexpected, spectacular gift. I was crushed and could not imagine salvaging the car. I left that car repair center crying all the way. Then I saw a sign that said "Auto B Crafts was voted Best in Sonora". They said "sure we can fix it". Around 2 weeks later the 2 damaged panels had been replaced and my beautiful Christmas gift was just like new. The employees were so kind and thoughtful, considerate and understanding about what this car meant to me. They aren't just a repair facility. They are also artists. I am not at all pleased with Auto-B-Craft. They replaced the back bumper on my 2015 Prius. They never pinned the bumper correctly and it kept coming loose. I would have to physically bang it back into place. I took it back to them and they stated they fixed the problem. It started to come off again, I called Farmers Ins and they sent me back there to see what could be done. The owner stated there was nothing that they could do because of a flaw with that particular cars bumpers. I said to the owner why did you bother to even take the job if you knew the bumper would never sit right? No answer. Mike Wilson at Modesto Toyota fixed the problem for me. The only reason I am giving them one star is because the first time i went to them with a crushed door, they did a good job. I for one will never use Auto-B-Craft again. read more

Referred to this shop by insurance company. Long story short don't waste your time instead go to Bucks or find a shop in Modesto or Oakdale. Even though they are an official insurance service center, staff stated they were doing me a favor since they usually don't work on foreign cars like mine. Tried upselling me on other paint work not from the accident, stating that it would drive their paint guy crazy and make their finished product look bad unless I paid to have it fixed. Worried my car would reflect badly on them unless I paid for that extra work. In the end their staff recommended I take the cash out settlement and take my car to "the City" for repairs. Staff. states my 6 yr old car was " too old" and the parts " too hard to find" since there was no local dealership to deliver them, they didn't want to deal with shipping or shopping for parts. But if I bought the parts myself and brought them to the shop they would install it. Took their recommendation and found another shop. They had no problem getting the correct parts. read more

This team is amazing. After my jeep was hit by a waste management garbage truck in a parking lot they were so awesome and amazing. They said don't deal with the waste management insurers. Who do you have at which I responded AAA and they said it will be so much easier to work through your own insurance company which we did. the repair was completed in a week no problem with getting a rental vehicle. They did whatever they could to make it the most pleasant part of a very frustrating and unpleasant experience tolerable. This team just rocks!!!!!!! UNFORTUNATELY I recently needed some serious auto body repairs...but....FORTUNATELY I was able to go back to Auto-B and their great services. I had some repair work done by them several years ago and was so impressed with their workmanship that going back to them was a no-brainer. And now they have even upped-their-game! I received regularly scheduled repair status updates from them (phone/text) and they also checked-in with any changes (all good) happened. I went in and met Mark. I liked him because Yelpers said this guy handles his business. Sure enough, he took 25 to 30 photos of my damaged Toyota and we set a date for said repairs to be performed. When the time arrived, my rental was washed and had a full tank of gas to boot. Same as when they finished fixing my ride: washed, cleaned and full of gas. This is my first experience with Auto-B-Craft body shop and I was quite satisfied with the outcome. I went into a lobby that was clean and inviting, I was greeted and was offered coffee. After a brief chat, I was assigned to a customer service representative (Dave Ferman). I had been rear ended a few days before. The representative quickly evaluated the damage. Then he took pictures of the entire car for the insurance Co. Two day later I was called by the insurance Co. and ask to schedule a date for the repair work. My SUV went in on Monday and done by Friday. When the call came that my baby was ready. Dave Ferman was there to go over all the work that was done, show me parts that were removed and asked if I had any questions. My car looked great no sign it had ever been hit. Seriously, if you're hesitating about going here, consider the following: you'll get incredible service and incredible quality of work that you can trust. AND in a timely manner. Lifetime customer. The only reason why I'd leave would be if I moved away. Even then, I'd consider bringing back my car for their quality of work. read more

Had body damage repair done here everything was great they were very polite called gave me updates on my vehicle customer service was good. I picked my car up 9-10 days later and my air condition/ heating unit would not come on no lights nothing. When I dropped the car off it was in perfect working condition and never had any previous issues with the unit EVER. I bring it back and they look and say "well it's your control unit it's broken and in the cab of the car and we didn't do that we didn't go near it" I argued back that something had to have happened while it was there because it just didn't make sense. However my car was clearly detail cleaned not even a speck of dust anywhere on the dash or on the control unit LOL so they did go near it when they cleaned it. So I took it to another shop and they found the cause to be the control unit being shorted out from someone getting something into the control unit itself. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone after my experience. read more

Among the numerous lies; he said he would finish repairs on my vehicle, after his shop took 8 weeks to repair the roof and trunk. Instead pf following through with me he quit returning my calls. In essence, I am now "stuck" with a side panel that has some kind of adhesive glued all over it. The rear bumber and hubcap weren't replaced. But George assures me, that he did me a favor. They gave my daughter an estimate that we can't afford almost $5K for a student are you kidding, even then it's a preliminary est. so you'll be able to add more to it. It's not even a final cost. The second I told you I had PL/PD only your whole demeanor changed & you said Utt Oh! Well if you had it towed it's going to cost about $4K to repair. Unfortunately I was hit by an oncoming Truck and my car was totaled. Although I wasn't hurt badly, the experience was extremely traumatizing and to top it off, I was on my way to Seattle, moving halfway across the country, with everything I owned in my car. I could barely speak or think when I brought my car to Auto-B. I didn't really even know where I was. And although they didn't end up working on my car, the husband and wife (I didn't catch their names) treated me like their daughter. They helped me get my belongings out of my car and they let me keep my belongings in their shop while I figured out how to get to Seattle.
