I've never left a bad review in my life. Palm City Auto did me wrong and I need to say something…read moreinstead of keeping it unheard. I had taken my older car for a rubbing noise in my tire. They said the wheel bearings and both tie rods needed to be replaced. I also signed up for the top tier $125 auto detail (more on that later). I agreed to replace the wheel bearings and both tie rods and wheel alignment. Paid a good sum of money for this repair. Within nine months my front passenger tire was completely bald and close to blowing out. Took it to Tire Kingdom to get a new tire and alignment. They couldn't do the alignment because the tie rods were shot. Both sides. So why didn't the repair I had paid for last? Going back in time to the visit to PC Auto: They were supposed to detail my car the day of the repair. They weren't able to do the exterior work (waxing, etc) because there was a very bad storm. Which ok, that was fine, no big deal. When I got into my car to leave, I noticed that the interior detail was extremely deficient. Granted, it was super dirty. I'm a single mom of a very special-needs child, the last thing I have time for is cleaning my car. So I paid for the top detail package. For instance, just using the steering wheel as the point I'm choosing to use as an example, rather than listing all the interior areas neglected, but the steering wheel hadn't been touched and was still so dirty that I took a napkin and rubbed water on a spot, leaving a clear circle showing it wasn't cleaned (that was just one area. I wish I could share the picture I took. It wasn't just a little difference, it was way blatant). I went back inside to let them know they didn't touch a lot of the interior (even the inside of the windows). They did a good job vacuuming and shampooing the carpets though! The owner (I understand there's two owners, a front store owner and a back store owner?) The back store owner ( I don't know if I'm phrasing that correctly) looked at it, annoyed with me, said "well you only paid for the basic." "No, I paid for the top one! And even the basic would clean the windows and steering wheel and door panel. Look, I can rub it off with water!" So they said they would finish it when I brought the car back to complete the exterior when the weather was better. I took my car back within a few days of the repair to finish the detail and also because I still heard the original noise that replacing the wheel bearings and tie rod was supposed to fix. The sound didn't happen when I rode with the mechanic, so they never identified it, but apparently it wasn't the wheel bearings and tie rod that I was told was the problem. (have since found out it was the brake backing plate, simple bending it solved the sound). So that day (I was very nice about this too!) they washed their hands of me. They refunded my money for the auto detail. I figured, okay, they gave my money back, I got a partial detail... I'll let it go and move on. But when I found out that the repair I paid good money for didn't last (what, six months tops?) and I had to get all new tie rods and an alignment all over again, and a new tire (!), realizing I wasted a lot of my hard-earned money on them and had to go through this repair all over again, and pay for it again, I'm pissed and not keeping quiet about it anymore. Palm City Auto did me wrong. Even though I was super nice about the whole thing, they washed their hands of me, and then I find out that it was all for nothing. Not cool.

Not a great experience. When they saw the car they anticipated 2-weeks depending on parts; 3 1/2…read moremonths later picked up the car. The more frustrating thing is that they're always gonna call to advise, but they never, ever do. One of the times we called while we never received a call back they sent us a pic of our car w/o any explanation WTH? Finally they call say it's done, we go, now no one knows we got a call to come get it so they look all over for the folder...finally after abt 15 mins they find; but no one's checked the car...AND the emblems are missing...after the almost 4 mo they have to order, now why wouldn't that have been done somewhere in the almost 4 months?? AND after leaving we found out Jack and parts are missing, they advised they took them out to do the repair but can't find...yet another thing they have to order could be a week, they'll call us . Aft almost 2-wks they never called, we did, magically just arrived. They don't seem organized and while we understand busy etc there's no excuse of why every single commitment of anything is never made. The work looks good BUT on their lack of pretty much everything related to customer service, made this an awful experience. I mean after a month/almost 4-mo when they said 2 -wks never returning a call is NOT good. We never ever called daily, so it's not like we were a PIA. Based on their forgetting the emblems altho the removed ones were bagged and in the trunk and the jack stuff that was missing there's obviously no quality control and their lack of communications not only to us but internally should not happen. What if we had a flat and didn't know all needed to fix wouldn't be there, it was when we dropped off the car! They did take the car to the dealership on sensors. Overall based on everything a miserable experience, if anyone asked I'd say look elsewhere for repairs.

Cash payments not accepted, CC payments over the phone not accepted. Original estimate provided by "he no longer works here". Please, for your own sake do not do business with this shop. I don't want to say they're predatory but I definitely feel like prey. Imagine going to a restaurant and the price of the entree changes drastically after ordering your meal. I understand what an estimate is but this team will lowball you into giving them your car and absolutely take advantage of you on the back end. That is what Caliber will provide for you and they will do it well. Expletive this shop and their leadership. Do not go here.

Mind you all the brand new OEM hardware was given to them by me. Few weeks later the lip fell off. Turns out they didn't line up the lip properly to the underbelly pan so none of the holes line up. So they drove a bunch of cabinet screws into the underbelly pan to "secure the lip". They also didn't use any of the OEM hardware they removed that secured the lip to the bumper. they also didn't use not reinstall the grille properly and damaged it. This was also a brand new grille. I also found paint drips so I talked to them about fixing the paint. I elected to remove the bumper myself and being it to them. Dropped it off and a week later Danny tells me that there's cracks in the bumper. I told him they weren't there when I dropped it off, the bumpers been in their shop for 7-8 days at this point and he apparently just starting to work on it. Danny tells me come the next morning and it will be ready. Show up, nothings been touched. Take it out of frustration and figure I'll just have to pay a better shop to do it over. Danny apologizes and says he's shorthanded and if I bring it back and he will fix it personally. Take the bumper back again. Danny it'll be done that day. It's not. Come two days later. Paint is touched up slightly. Grille is WORSE than before. Huge gaps between grille and bumper that he managed to somehow make bigger than when I dropped it off. And he let his sander hit the lip spoiler (which is black plastic and was also BRAND NEW) leaving a massive white sanding scrape on it. BUYER BEWARE. AWFUL WORK. AWFUL TO DEAL WITH. WONT STAND BY HIS WORK. I have never seen a service business run this poorly.
