I bought my 92 Corvette new so I've had it aligned many times over the years. I had it 4 wheel aligned to OEM factory specs a year ago. It cost me flat rate of $245 and took 1 hour and 45 minutes. I was able to wait on a couch in the lobby. This year I thought I would try another shop with some very slight camber adjustments. I made an appt. w/AutoEdge 2 weeks in advance for an appt. at 7:45AM, I live 40 miles away and was told I could wait for it. I arrived on time. While the atmosphere of shop was nice there was virtually nowhere to sit and wait so they directed me to walk a half a block up the road to a Caribou to wait. After waiting at Caribou(3 hrs.), sitting on the curb outside shop(1.5hrs) and walking around the neighborhood(1.5 hrs.) until my phone battery went dead, my car was finally done after 6.5 hours!!! They told me it was going to be $375 and that they were going to be "kind" enough to stick with that instead of charging me $120/hr until the job was done!! Would have been over $700!! They stated this was because I brought in "specific" settings. The only thing I requested was -.5' camber on front/back tires, no toe or caster changes, virtually stock settings. To even consider charging a customer $120/hr for a 4 wheel alignment because your technician doesn't know what he's doing is goddamn ridiculous!! When he finally got the -.5' camber in front, he messed up the already existing caster angle. As I said, I've owned my car for 33 years and lots of alignments. For a customer to make an appt. 2 weeks in advance, wait better than 6 hours with nowhere to sit, and then threaten to charge an hourly rate because your tech don't know what he's doing is the most assanine thing I've experienced at a shop!! I will never go back there and will make sure nobody I know does either. read more

I called them to see if they can change my car steering wheel. On April 3 I drop my car to install custom steering wheel then they broke my air clock spring. Chris called me if I want to order or want them to order and I had no idea he gonna make me pay for it( the clock spring that they broke ) and had never mentioned that I have to pay for it( as professional they should take responsibility for what they have done) I said "okay order it " then the total comes around $1300 and they gave me a bill and I try to talk to them but they are very tricky . Only for labor about $700 there guy are crazy . First time and last time ever and they kept my car almost two weeks. read more

Its hard to find a repair shop that you can trust to fix your car and have it done right the first time. This is one of the best. I've taken my car to Auto Edge for several years and these guys consistently earn my repeat business. I go there instead of the dealers for routine scheduled maintenance as well as the occasional unexpected thing... :-(. The guys at the front desk are knowledgable and courteous. The mechanics are good at diagnosing any issues my car has (or doesn't have) and then fixing it. They also do the research on the car and let me know of any scheduled maintenance is coming up or any known issues (I think they're called tech bulletins) that were published on the car, but they don't "pad" the bill by fixing things that don't need fixing. Nice touch. Although they usually have a bunch of Porsche's out front, I know they work with pretty much everything from daily drivers to mega buck specialty race cars. Over the years, I've taken my Kia, Hyundai, Dodge, Lexus, Honda and Porsche there, always with good results. read more

I have been taking my 11 year old BMW to these guys since it has been out of warranty. It was a pain to drive over to the other side of town anyway and these guys are way better than any BMW service garage I have been to in the US! Don't bring your old beater here!! I bought an old car on Craigslist and brought it to Auto Edge because it was overheating. They charged me $110 to look at it, listed several issues and said "cost of repairs excedes value of car," said it was not safe to drive and asked when the tow truck would be coming to haul it away. Fortunately I ignored their advice and drove the car 100 miles to my trusted mechanic near home. He made all the necessary repairs for under $600 and I have been driving it without issues for the last month. Auto Edge claimed the car was overheating because of a cracked radiator and possibly broken water pump. My mechanic found neither problem, but fixed a rusted and broken hose clamp. The Auto Edge mechanic claimed the transmission was loud and leaking transmission fluid. Since my mechanic doesn't work on transmissions I drove the car another 30 miles to the transmission shop. The transmission specialist found no leak and no problems with the transmission. (Fortunately he was kind enough not to charge me for looking at it so I was only out a couple of hours of time and a few gallons of gas!) I don't know if the Auto Edge mechanic who looked at my car was incompetent or just took one look and decided he didn't want to deal with the older car, but I am very sorry I wasted my time and money taking my car to Auto Edge. read more
