AGS installed new windshield authorized by insurance company which turned out to be the wrong glass. No fault of AGS, Steve and Steph did not hesitate to schedule me to replace the windshield with the correct glass even before the insurance company approval. The insurance company pushed back on paying them, so I got involved with the insurance company to make sure they were made hole. What a professional company to deal with. Final note the insurance company paid them as the should now both AGS and me are happy. Will recommend them to every person I know that needs glass or interior work that they offer. read more

I contacted Auto glass specialists to replace a broken glass for my truck topper. I brought the plexiglass from prospect plastics and had them delivered to this company. For sizing and installing the plexiglass, I was quoted $235 I accepted the quote. But after 3 days when the plexiglass was installed, I was demanded to pay $265 and insisted that they did not quote me $235. With taxes, the total came to $395 for installing. I complained about this unreasonable hike. But they would not agree. I regret the fact that u did not get a written quote instead of trusting them to keep their verbal quote. I feel I have been cheated out of an additional $30. I strongly suggest getting a written quote every single time and never to trust a verbal quote. read more

I needed to have my windows tinted and friend recommended Auto Glass Specialist. None of the other reviews have mentioned price, so I will. They have two options: regular tint and ceramic. For a 4-door sedan (I have a Hyundai Sonata) the regular tint is $185 and the ceramic is $285. They say that the ceramic is of higher quality and blocks more heat and UV rays. I got the ceramic. With tax it was $302.10. It took about 2 1/2 hours. When it was done, I noticed some imperfections (bubbles) on the back glass and mentioned it to the installer. He said it would resolve itself in a few days. A week went by and some of the spots were still there and I noticed some issues with the other windows, so I took the car back. An employee inspected the tint with me. We found multiple issues. She said that it was from hair and dirt and that it need to be redone. They had me come back 2 weeks later. The old tinting has to be removed and that takes time so I had to leave the car for the day. $25 to Uber home and back. When picking up, they told me that they could not replace the back window film because they were afraid that my rear defroster could be damaged. OK fine. They ended up only redoing two of the windows. I was told that the other imperfections were not significant enough to warrant replacement. Then they told me that one of my door handles had broken off while the work was being done. She asked me if it had happened before. I said yes, I had replaced the other rear door handle. The handles are plastic, and the time I broke one, it was because I did not realize that the door was locked, and when I tried to open it... snap! AGS said their technician told them that it just came off in his hand. She (the owner?) said they called the Hyundai dealership and they had the part in stock if I wanted to pick it up. She also told me that the handle needed to be painted and she would send it to the bodyshop that she uses. The agreement, as I understood it, was that I would get and pay for the part and they would install it. I picked up the $35 part and delivered it the next morning. More than a week went by I had not heard anything so I called. They said they were happy that I called because they had lost my number -- which I find strange because my number is on the receipt. She said she needed to call the bodyshop to check the status of the handle and call me back. 2 days later I got a call back and was told that they could put it on in 2 weeks. They put it on today and presented me with a bill for $50 for the paint job. Apparently we had a miscommunication about who was taking care of the paint. They said the handle broke because of wear and tear and it was not their fault. I paid, and now I am writing this review about my experience. Decide for yourself whether or not to give them your business. I should add that the tinting product that they use is LLumar, and it has a non transferrable lifetime warranty for cracking, peeling and unusual change in color. read more

Possibly the worst service I've ever had I came in for a broken rear view mirror (under ford warranty) and they ended up breaking my windshield taking it off as the lady told me it will take about an hour to replace the windshield but it ended up taking five hours. They weren't nice people and never even said sorry when I left about what happened. Very unfair and unprofessional people. read more

If you have to have your windshield replaced, as I did, this is the place to go! My autobody garage (McHugh's in Hollywood) recommended this company, so I trusted their advice and went with them. The owner, Barbara, is very knowledgeable about auto glass and very accommodating. The glass replacement technician 1st came to McHugh's where I had the car waiting for them. I had thought that windshield replacement included a trim cowl piece between the hood and front windshield but it turned out that it did not. Barbara allowed me to get the piece on my own and to reschedule the appointment. After the trim piece arrived, I rescheduled back at McHugh's. The technician's showed up again and removed my old windshield glass. When they took the new glass out of the truck and cleaned it they noticed a very tiny blemish on it. They immediately called their shop and the shop ordered a new piece, without question. They went back to the shop and brought back the new piece and installed it. After the first rain, I notice that my rain sensor was not working. I have a BMW and this is an expensive add on, but well worth it. Anyway, the rain sensor connector piece was attached to the new glass. I called Barbara and she told me to bring the car in to her shop in Ft. Lauderdale, which I did the next day. They tested the sensor on the windshield and my sensor on the car and found the one that came installed on the windshield to be defective. Here's where their honesty and integrity came in. They had a few sensors in the garage and decided to install a new one on my windshield. They installed 3 other defective sensors and finally, decided to order me an entirely new windshield with the new sensor already installed on it. They did not dispute that the sensor on the windshield was defective, or that this was not covered in the glass replacement. Instead they honored their limited lifetime warranty and replaced the windshield with a new sensor which came already installed on the windshield. What I thought would be an hour job turned out to be an all day job. The tinting on my driver's side window was peeling off so I asked them if they could install a new tint just on that window and how much they would charge for that. Barbara did it gratis explaining that she felt badly that I had to be in the shop all day. That was super nice of her and I really appreciated that. She also gave me a BMW toll free number sticker to attach to the windshield for roadside assistance. She said she thinks that the roadside assistance would be free with the sticker. Thank goodness I have not had to use it, but it was another nice gesture on her part. The technicians there are very patient and competent especially Robert who worked on my car. I keep my car in tip top condition and he was very cognizant of that and was a perfectionist himself, which I appreciated. Although this glass replacement turned out to be a bigger deal than expected, Barbara's professional attitude and actions deserve my kudos. A lot of auto oriented business owners today, just don't care how they do the work or how they treat the customer, but Barbara is the opposite. She takes pride in her work and her business and it shows. Thank you very much for your great work! Even though I live in Miami Beach, I will return to them for any other glass replacement in the future. read more
