As a single mother that works in Sunrise but lives in Hollywood, I had to do what I had to do with what I had to get some transportation. I ended up buying a 2004 Chevy trailblazer that I was told was in good condition and maintenance was kept up with. Well, of course, the car started throwing lights at me and stalling. Turning off on its own as I sat in the parking lot. I had a mobile mechanic come to my home and charge me $80 to just look at it, said there was NOTHING wrong with it and took my money and left. Car was still acting up. I called Kat and explained my situation, she told me "bring it in!" I was like "listen, I already got screwed over and funds are tight can you please just tell me what's wrong with it and we will talk about fixing it depending on the price?!" She said "Just bring it in, I'll have my mechanic look at it then we will talk price after we see what's wrong." I almost cried, when I took it in they figured out what was wrong in one minute. ONE MINUTE! Guess what it was? It completely ran out of oil. The other mobile mechanic couldn't tell me that? I almost blew my engine thanks to him, but that's probably what he wanted. We found city collision by accident and am I glad we did. My daughter was in a car accident away from home and we had to find a place to repair the front end. We needed a place we could trust and one that would give us a good price for the repair work. We found both with City Collision Center. We had the car towed to their location by AAA and by the time we got there JD had looked at the car and had a typed estimate all prepared for us. JD did the work he promised for the price he quoted and had the car ready when promised. And the car looked great. A week or two after we had the car repaired, my daughter pulled the front bumper off when it caught on one of the cement stoppers in the parking lot. I called JD and he said bring it over and let us look at it. It wasn't a major job to fix it but it needed a part. So my daughter whet back the next day and JD fixed it and did not charge her for that work. I was driving down to South Florida for the Easter weekend and I hit a small animal maybe a raccoon or possum. Whatever it was, it did some major damage to my car. I was referred to City Collision by my insurance provider. As soon as I got there EVERYONE was super nice and worked to get me and my car back on the road for Monday even when others had told me it would be a stretch with the holiday weekend. They called in staff, made frequent calls with my insurance agent and did a complete assessment (even replacing my radiator which I was told by somewhere else wasn't damaged). They showed me pictures of my damage and explained everything that was going on. My car felt brand new driving home and still does. They even accommodated a walk-in insurance vehicle inspection for my sister! These guys are awesome. First let me start off by saying that I found this shop by accident and I am so glad I did. After getting 3 repair estimates, I didn't think I could afford any repairs to my daughter's and my car. Then I met Janet,JD and Janet. This family owned operation is a rare gem. All 3 of them were caring, calming, and professional. I couldn't believe the price I received (which seemed to good to be true) and needless to say I was skeptical about the quality of the work. Then I went to pick up my daughter's car and it looked brand new, Mine was done 2 days later to the same degree of perfection. My son's car ran over a curb then crashed into a tree. I had no insurance to pay for damages. I just thank God he did not crash into another car and that he and his friend were not hurt. The car, however, was another story. I took it to City Collision Center and Kat, what a great person. Kat took the care and checked it over with a mechanic and saw that there was no hope for it. She said it cannot be repaired. The car was a write off. The AMAZING THING was that Kat helped me out until I could get it towed to a junk yard. AT NO COST. I offered her lunch and she declined. I cannot even put into words how amazing Janet and JD were. When you get into an accident the last thing you need to to be frustrated about getting your car fixed, and they understood that. I felt welcomed and calm from the moment I walked into the door. When I came in for my estimate for my hood and bumper it was more than I could afford (I had to pay for it out of pocket) because I am currently serving a year with AmeriCorps as a volunteer and decided to just fix my hood.
