Stopped by this place today for an inspection since it was literally 1 minute away from the DMV and I was in and out in 5 mins on a Monday morning. Great service! Both gentlemen were very nice and prompt! They have a comfy waiting area while your car gets inspected. There are couches, chairs and complimentary water; which I thought was a nice touch. I mentioned to one of the guys that they must get lots of business being so close to the DMV and he said they did. He also mentioned the area is being developed so their future there is uncertain and that made me sad. I hope they land somewhere nearby because this was a great visit for me. 5/5 -- Efficient & Quick Service with Friendly Staff! I found out about this place by a $5 coupon I was mailed to my new address. I held on to it knowing I had to get my inspection for renewal soon. Ended up stopping by in the middle of the day during the week and I was in and out in about 7mins. It was so quick and the staff was pleasant. When checking out the guy said, that'll be $300, but today we are giving a 90% discount, so $30 for you... I appreciated the humor and laughed as we all know the price is regulated, but just another example of the fun positive experience I had. It's a small little place. Not the most cozy seating inside or out, but you shouldn't have to wait too long. Plus they are about to build a new building closer to the newer Birkdale area that will be more convenient and I'm sure a little more cozy. They did have complimentary water bottles which was nice! Didn't even end up having the coupon on me, and don't even need it to persuade me to come back next year! taking care of the mundanities of life and stopped in to find out about trailer inspections because that's what it said on my tag renewal. the attendant looked at me like I had just fell from space and said she never heard of such a thing but there it was... she suggested that maybe I go ask the professionals up the road at the Huntersville DMV. after some idle banter we noticed my little white truck was about due for renewal so in it went for a safety inspection, and it passed?! cost me $13.60 but it's done and done early so yea for me! BTW: Went to the DMV afterwards and the trailer didn't actually need inspected, it was just a poorly printed renewal notice. read more
