Bought a 2016 BMW 328i with 98,000 miles from AutoKings in Bend OR less than a year ago and I'm $10,000 in repairs completely broke down 2 months ago (about 7 months into owning the car). Diagnosed $380, new computer $2700, new valve cover $2,200, and now a new cam shaft $4200. I actually can't afford the cam shaft after the first two repairs so it's sitting in my drivewa I paid $12,000 plus interest and I'm $10,000 in the hole, and I still owe over $10,000 on the car. Firstly, I have never purchased any car sight unseen, much less in Bend, Oregon from my home in Los Angeles, California. HOWEVER, I recently purchased a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover from Auto Kings November, 2025. The RR is a dream to drive and own! From my first call, Koby was very informative and helpful. He emailed me further information on the SUV and was honest and low pressure. I was then contacted on Koby's off days by Austin who was incredible to deal with as well. Auto Kings has a service department that inspects their cars and performs oil changes, filters, etc. and they prepared my Range Rover for my 800 plus miles home. This Range Rover was a one owner vehicle from Las Vegas, and Auto Kings often finds good, rust-free vehicles from Nevada shipped to Oregon. I wired the funds for the vehicle, priced at a reasonable, "no haggle" price and communication was easy throughout the process. Over the week after purchase, Austin, Derrick, Anna, Roz and Koby were incredibly helpful. Koby offered to arrange shipping but a trip to Oregon sounded like a fun weekend trip. My son and I made a father-son road trip through some of the most beautiful landscapes and forests in the country. This started off great with Coby at the Redmond location--no pressure, very professional. Unfortunately, the company moved him back to Bend, so we couldn't work with him again. We offered a trade-in, and they gave us an insulting offer of $3,000 for a car worth around $8,000. We moved forward without the trade because we liked the car. We discussed numbers, provided all info, and suggested Mid Oregon for financing. Our new salesperson (name withheld) tried to talk us out of it--odd. Within 20 minutes, Mid Oregon approved us at a great rate pending wage verification. Once verified, we returned to the dealer, only to be told Mid Oregon declined and they found another lender at a rate nearly 2 points higher. Trusting them, we signed. The next day, we visited Mid Oregon and learned they had approved us all along. We called the main store, spoke to a manager, and he confirmed the approval. He asked us to come in so he could fix it--great news. At Bend, we worked with Coby again--highly recommend him. What a wonderful experience I had with Auto Kings in Bend. I drove from Eugene to pick up a canopy to fit my 2013 Ford Super Crew. That size is hard to come by. This canopy was used but looks brand new, had window access to cab and even keys to lock it as needed. Derrick went to bat for me, Bryan was wonderful and Bob at the service center moved vehicles around, transferred the canopy to my truck and I was on my way home in about 20 mins! Never go here!!!!!!! Yes the people there were "nice" upon purchase of my vehicle a 2012 GMC Terrain. When I looked at car tires had tears in them and looked horrible. When I informed them they said they would take care of it. The way they took care of it was the switched tires around so fucked up part was inside wheel well. I found out because I did a trip check at Les Schwab and had to buy all new tires. Fast forward 8 months.... My engine died not my fault was a piece of shit from what the mechanic at shop told me. The warranty company they offer is also shit! $250 deductible not bad! But the engine the warranty company put in also blew up a month after!! And now they want $4,500 to put a new engine in! Bought my current car here a few years ago but I figure my vote still counts. I drove 4 hours (before I lived in town) to come see a car here and was a little under whelmed by the vehicle itself. There was many flaws that didn't show up in the pictures (I was warned of this but had no idea of the severity). The car had scratches and the interior was destroyed by the sun. Yes, this was a used car though.. I figured that it was still a fair deal. I tried to negotiate the price and the salesman would only drop it by a few hundred. After driving it back home I saw this the car has been egged and the egg had actually cooked the paint off of the car in a few spots. Sadly, I had not noticed this when inspecting the car because the car was wet. I called and asked if I could get any sort of adjustment in price for the hidden damage and was told "it's AS IS." If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I purchased an Audi from them in Oct. 2022. I am paying almost $400 per month for this car as it is nearly 25k. The first week of purchase, I had to take it into their auto shop due to a strange sound coming from the engine. They looked it over and found a loose component next to the motor and said it was unsafe for me to drive. So they loaned me a Ford while it was being fixed. I retrieved the car a day later and the sound was still present. I thought it may be the supercharger. Shortly after, my oil light began coming on every Friday when I got off work. I would need to put a qt of oil in EVERY week. I took it to Valvoline and they said I had a leak in the oil and tranny. I took it back to Auto Kings, they said there was no leak and the mechanic proceeded to tell me he had no idea how to work on Audi's, as he was "just a diesel mechanic." From there, I took the car to German Master Tech, where they told me I didn't have a leak, but they believed I may be burning oil, and they needed to run more tests. I decided it would be best to have the car inspected by the professionals at the Audi dealership, so I took it there. Within a matter of 2-3 days, they told me I needed a new motor, as the cylinders in my car had severe scoring. According to them, there was more scoring than cylinder. Unfortunately, the extended warranty Auto Kings talked me into getting wouldn't cover the cost of the motor or the labor because it was PRE-EXISTING. After a month of the car being at the Audi shop, I took it back to the Madras dealership where they towed it to XLNT auto because by this time, the car wouldn't go over 45 mph. My car has been at XLNT auto since APRIL 2023. They called me last month to come get it and I made it less than a mile away and my car broke down, completely losing steering with my child in the car. They towed it BACK to XLNT auto and it's been there since. They called me telling me I needed to pay $1,050 for the new repairs that were done. Even though no one told me what they were or how much prior to them doing the work. Also, it is the law that no mechanic shop can do any work on a vehicle totaling over $200 without first notifying the owner of what and how much. Also, XLNT auto didn't replace the motor, according to them, it didn't need a new motor, just a walnut blasting. Which is funny, because the tech who worked on my Audi at XLNT even told me that my car is going to cost me heavily due to the issues with the cylinders and he thinks I was ripped off by Auto Kings, just like everyone else. What's more, Jeff at Auto Kings won't even communicate with me anymore because I contacted the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General for consumer assistance. Because of this, he says "all legal matters need to go through their attorney." Really? All because I reached out to an outside agency for assistance? Also, they continually try and place the blame on me, saying I put x amount of miles on it despite the issues that were present. Well, what else am I supposed to do? I'm a single mom, working full time, and paying almost 900 per month for a car I haven't driven since MARCH. They said they aren't at fault, they didn't sell me a lemon, and if this is the case, then why would they fork out $1800 dollars to cover some of the work done at XLNT auto to try and put a bandaid on the issues with my car? I wouldn't fork out almost 2 grand if I felt like the consumer was completely at fault. I don't know where to go from here, I haven't had a car since March, while still paying the car payment and full coverage insurance. I'm a hard working, tax paying, single mother, business owner, and full time student, and this is how they treat me. I could say so much more, but I think I've said enough. Has anyone else had similar issues with a car purchased from Auto Kings? Also, they say they do a full inspection of their vehicles prior to putting them on the lot. If this is the case, why did I have a component on my car that was so loose the mechanic wiggled it with his bare hand, one week after purchase. I haven't wanted to file a lawsuit, because it is expensive and can take up to a year, but it seems that I have no choice because I probably won't have my car for another year anyway, while still making payments. I might as well. Oh, and they keep saying "we offered to buy the car back from you". Yeah, they offered to buy it back for like $9,000 which would have left me nearly 12k in debt. NO thank you. My advice, go to a REAL dealership. I went to auto kings because my friend was working there (he doesn't anymore) and I wanted to do business with him. NEVER again. read more

Not to mention that they ran my credit again on the same vehicle again even though I had it ran for the same vehicle less than 30 days prior. I really wanted that specific vehicle and they did not seem eager to make it happen even with 7k down on a 17k vehicle. I purchased a 2013 Jeep Compass from Auto Kings a week ago and the starter started going out plus it needed new brake pads. I spoke with Auto Kings Owners and brothers Lance and Austin, they told me to take it down to their service shop when I had a chance and get those issues fixed at no charge. While the car was at the service center being repaired my service tech Darren also found a bad dent in my oil pan and the car had a bad CV joint. I bought a truck under 2 years ago and it has already broke down. My issue is that when I purchased the truck they were so amped up to sell me the extended warranty that I trusted them when they told me all I would have to pay is a $100 deductible. Well actually that is incorrect. You need to make sure when you purchase a vehicle from them, which I do not recommend, you need to read all the fine print and do not purchase the extended warranty get it from some where else. Their extended warranty in fine print states that they only cover up to $125 an hour for repairs. There is no shop in central oregon that is that cheap. Then when it comes to parts the warranty company finds the cheapest part around whether it is new, used, refurbished they don't care as long as it is the cheapest. So you don't always get actually manufactured parts that should be put on your vehicle. I first took my truck to auto kings for repair they said they could not do it so they sent it to dodge dealership for them to fix it. They got the authorization from the warranty company and after all said and done I am going to be out $1200. So Auto Kings and Liberty Shield both screwed me. So, to sum things up read the fine print if you have to go here to buy a car. I do recommend going somewhere where they will back up what they say. read more
