When I test drove the truck I mentioned that it had a really bad wobble and the salesman Ben told me that it was just a big truck thing. Come to find out its axle seals are blown out, tire rods, tire rod ends, ball joints and u joints all need replaced, not to mention they put a cheap lift on! They are very welcoming but all of it is a cover they sell cars with a lot of things wrong, then promise they'll get their mechanics to fix the problems and then never answer phone calls or ever call back. Would never go here again for another car. Our sunroof wouldn't pull back and the step bar for our truck wouldn't come down and they promised it would get fixed and we had to bring it back... If you're planning on getting a vehicle from Thomason Auto in Redmond or Bend, before you do, have a mechanic you trust do a full work up to check over the vehicle. The day we drove our car off the lot, it started having issues with the EGR valve. When we brought it in to the mechanic they use (that supposedly checked the vehicle over), they found the valve was to the point of leaking. Three months later, and we've been back and forth with them about the issue, and it turning out that it also needs to have an EGR port replaced because it is clogged, and they refuse to pay for fixing it. The clogged valve (according to both their mechanic and ours) could very well lead to the issues with the EGR valve the vehicle had when we drove it off the lot. The manager of the Redmond location screamed at my husband on the phone, accusing him of trying to bring up any issue the car had to get them to pay for it and accused him of basically lying about the car having issues and that there was no way the car suddenly had problems because they drove it 13 whole times over the three months they had the vehicle. Before any of this, one of their employees outright lied to me on the phone about how much they were willing to offer on trade in for our Subaru and the decrease in cost that they would give us. They promised to honor the lower price of the vehicle we wanted to buy if it showed up on the website, and then change the price the day before we bought it and accidentally created a duplicate posting that still had the previous price viewable on their website. Do not believe what they say unless you get it in writing, and if possible get your vehicle from somewhere else. We have bought two vehicles previously from Royal Moore in Hillsboro, and they treated us with so much more respect than this. These are truly "used car salesmen". read more

In August, we discovered that some individuals had taken advantage of our disabled veteran father, who has dementia. They purchased a car in April they could not afford and coerced him into signing the loan, claiming he was their father, these people are acquaintances, no relation what-so-ever! Thomason did not do their due diligence and overnighted the paperwork to him to sign as a co-borrower, no witnesses, no notary. Had his caregiver not noticed the delinquent notices he began receiving in the mail, we would not have known about this fraud. The state has found these people guilty of elder abuse and the police are actively pursuing charges. The investigation department at the credit union tried to reach out to one of the owners of Thomason and he cussed the gentleman at the credit union out, telling him that these people cant afford the car, and this is all a scheme to get out of the responsibility and give the car back. That knee jerk reaction indicates that either you are culpable or uninformed. Thomason FORD - Maybe instead of sticking your head in the sand you should get all the facts!! THE STATE has found these people guilty of defrauding an elderly person! There is an active fraud case against these people! This disabled veteran has been fleeced for over $35,000 which has wrecked his credit and may effect his ability to get the care and resources he needs in the future. I am hugely disappointed in your unprofessional approach to assisting the credit union (and us) with the injustice committed by these people. I had hoped that a local business, that claims it cares about the community, would show more empathy and understanding. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. BUYER BEWARE. Bought a car as is off of their lot which I understand is on me but the fact that they did not disclose at all the major safety issues with the suspension is concerning. I immediately had to put 2K into this heap to replace pretty much entire front end assembly. Thank God I got it to a shop before myself or my wife were SERIOUSLY HURT OR EVEN KILLED. It's not that they sold me a lemon, I get it. That's what greaseball used car dealerships do. The blatant disregard for people's actual safety is a concern and hey fellow consumers, it should be for you too. Worst car buying experience ever. "Someone" put fender flares on the truck I bought to hide rust and of course you can't remove anything to look. Once it was exposed they played dumb and then got belligerent, well, one guy did, the boss just didn't care. I spent the next several months working to treat frame rust and buy a used bed and LR door to get painted and replaced. The old door literally fell apart before I took it to the scrap yard. There was zero concern from them that they had sold me a truck with so much damage. They had their money at that point so why bother, right? I used to think Thomason was ok but I'd ride the bus before buying anything from them again. My bad for failing to get it inspected first so that's my advice to you if dealing with this place. Or just avoid Thomason altogether, especially the Redmond location. read more
