I wrote another review for Ms. Prinz, but Yelp removed it because it detailed my father's…read moreexperience with her (a third-party review is against Yelp Guidelines ~ sorry Yelp!) and now I'm posting a new review to tell of my experience with her. Ms. Prinz was hired by my father to do some legal work. They came to a disagreement about some of her bills, she ended the business relationship and sent him to collections over a small fee. The collection agency started harassing my 80 year old father and, since I happen to know a little bit about collections from all of my research for my book, my Dad asked me to help him out. I looked over Ms. Prinz's bills and didn't think they looked right so I contacted her. Instead of sending back a letter asking to discuss the bills reasonably, Ms. Prinz returned my correspondence with a surprising response that was demeaning (she would not address me by my proper name, a trait that continued in all of her correspondence until after reporting her to the State Bar) and threatening (she said she would go to police and district attorney's office and report my father as a threat if I reported her to the State Bar and ruined her reputation) and utterly defiant (she was sure that "the State Bar would view any complaint with the same amount of incredulousness" that she did). She admitted to having billing problems in the past with other clients the same as this one and that she went to the police and D.A. about them. Through two pages of backlash, she offered nothing in the way of a resolution or compromise. I persisted with follow-up letters trying to get some sort of negotiations from her or her collection agency, but they have both been quite rude and unwilling to discuss any kind of reasonable solution. Sadly, this dispute has snowballed into me filing a Complaint against Ms. Prinz with the California State Bar, a fee mediation with the Santa Clara County Bar, all of us spending countless hours writing letters and emails that have fostered bad feelings and resolved nothing - all over less than $1,000. She told the State Bar there was no fee dispute because she had ceased collections, but they had never stopped. The State Bar told me if there was a fee dispute, to file for fee mediation with the Santa Clara County Bar and inform Ms. Prinz that I had done so and, by law, the collection action must cease. I filed for mediation and informed Ms. Prinz and the collection agency, but they continue to burden us with phone calls, emails and letters (the last one being a few minutes ago from the collection agency). The State Bar told me to report this if it continued, which I will be doing later today. Ms. Prinz has also told me she is filing a defamation suit against me for my prior Yelp review which means that all of this will become much worse and far more public. I love Yelp and am grateful to have it to help guide me to fabulous restaurants, shops, hotels, and personal and professional services. I'm also grateful for the honest posts that warn me to stay away from certain businesses and people that give less than stellar service. I really wish every review I write could be 5 stars, but not every business deserves it. I'm sorry Ms. Prinz, but the truth is the truth. I hope we can ultimately resolve this without any more drama. It's a shame it's gone this far.

He never knew the answers to the legal questions/advice I'd ask him nor the nuances that came with being a government employee. When I'd call and ask his staff a question each employee had a different answer which doesn't breed trust that is essential as they are the ones supposed to advocate for us. One instance I called and they blatantly hung up on me, when I met with Mr.Reynoso and I mentioned that he wasn't apologetic instead he said it was my fault for asking them and not emailing him directly. Completely unprofessional. His assistant Elias would literally get an attitude with me and argue with me. Workers comp is a demoralizing system that you have to fight against to get adequate treatment and an attorney like Mr.Reynoso make it far more stressful. My mother also had a case with him and after they closed her case any time she calls his staff put her on hold for hours on end. My mother is elderly and doesn't speak English so a good advocacy team is essential and they do the opposite of that. One time they kept her on hold until 5pm (when they close) and then just hung up on her. Didn't call her back the next day either. I brought this up to Mr.Reynoso and again he wasn't very apologetic nor did he say he would provide better training for his staff. Often times he'd argue with me saying his staff was very hardworking. I never saw that. I ended up switching attorneys and the difference is incredible. A month before I switched I went in person to drop off my mileage forms. I gave it to Marcos and he took a copy and alleged he'd send it. ONE MONTH before I switched. Once I switched and the case transferred over it had been at least two months since I had turned that into them. My attorney reviewed the file and noted they in fact had never sent it. I sent her the forms and she sent it same day and within a couple of weeks I got a response from the insurance company. They had one month to send it and didn't. That's how it always was with any paperwork they had to submit and then Mr.Reynoso would say they're very busy. I understand that but I'm a professional and there is no excuse to delaying legal paperwork when dealing with people's lives and healthcare. If his staff is so busy then either hire more people or train them to time manage better. To this day they keep giving my mom the run around and it's been delaying care. I would not recommend him and if I could give him negative stars I would.

And since no other attorney wanted to take on another attorney's Trust Administration, I was stuck. The estate was dead in the water. Eventually I heard from Maria. We've worked things out and all is good. And because we worked things out, Jordan asked Maria to ask me to re-do the review. I did one better and deleted it because he's trying to make a go of his law firm, and I could be gracious. I so regret it. I faxed a document to Mosaic Law on August 18th. Jordan noticed that something wasn't signed. Did he let me know? Care to guess? I followed up today, three weeks later, to find out if all was good. You know the rest. There were so many times when he could have reached out to me to ease my concern, or give me a quick update, but no. You've been warned.
