She was told she needed all new brake pads and rotors and that there was a nail in one of her tires requiring replacement. The estimated cost was over $1,500. Because her vehicle only has 55,000 miles, we decided to get a second opinion at another reputable shop. We were told there was absolutely nothing wrong with her brakes, and there was no nail in her tire. For preventative maintenance, we simply had her tires rotated. I strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before approving major repairs. While I understand businesses need to make money, this experience left us feeling uneasy. Please do your research and make informed decisions.

I brought in a tire for a simple patch Waited a day for a response and eventually had to call multiple times to get an update You told me "we can't repair your tire because of its age" The tire is 4yrs and 12 weeks from manufacture date.... Tread is still like new [see images] Nail / damage is dead center tread and is as minimal as they come When I got to your office I asked to "see" the written policy, "I don't have it written, it's a 'corporate' policy that my manager told me, nothing over 4yrs" "Are you kidding? That tire is perfect. Are you that determined to force me to buy a tire?!" "Sorry, it's not me, it's policy" "Policy that you can't show me? That you were told? That you just know?" [stares with a stupid look] As expected I go to another shop, they look at my tire and say "that tire is perfect, we'll take care of you" Fixed it, on the spot, in 20mins, for free...... This is the worst auto shop I've ever brought my car to. I have a Honda civic so I know it's not…read morethat hard to work on. The owner seems really nice but the work they do there is sketchy and shoddy. I used them exclusively for the first two years that I lived here (they were cheaper compared to other shops and like I said, the owner was nice), but I'd say about 80% of the time that I brought my car in to get fixed, I'd leave with another problem. There was one time that I brought my car in for a part to get fixed and they replaced it with another broken part (thus making me go through the ordeal of dropping my car off for a second day in a row). On one of the last occasions that I brought my car in, my AC stopped working soon after. The cost was too high for me to replace it at the time and I was over giving them any more business. A year later, I finally get my AC fixed at Auto Lux (for MUCH cheaper than I was quoted at Greene's) and it appears pieces of the AC belt had been removed. These aren't things that could just fall off, they have to be manually removed, so my guess is that Greene's had a hand in that. That is just me speculating but judging from my history as a customer with them, it wouldn't surprise me to find that they sabotaged my car, whether on purpose or by accident. Either way is unacceptable.
