I have seen and heard about the good work this Pocola, Oklahoma Body shop does, so I decided to try…read moreto get an estimate from them to repair my Truck because the Body shop I had already checked with cant get to my Truck Until January, 2023. After arriving at Dusty's Collision Center located in Pocola, OK, I followed an older man through the door and noticed another man sitting on a couch in the waiting area of Dusty's. I asked the man sitting on the couch how long he had been waiting. He told me that he spoke to someone when he first walked in but the man disappeared about 30 minutes ago and hadn't returned yet. A tall man, approximately in his mid 60's, wearing a White Beard, walked in approximately 5 minutes after the older man and I entered the shop's office. The guy with the Beard asked the older man how he could help him. Both, the older man, and myself told the the White Beard man that the guy sitting on the couch was there first. Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut, but I hate it when someone line jumps, even unintentionally. The Bearded guy said "Yeah, but this won't take that long". It took approximately 15-20 minutes to take care of the older man. After he finished with the older man, White Beard man asked the man who had been waiting for more than 45 minutes, what he needed. BTW, the man that was made to wait was a Black man. He said he is from this area but had moved away. All this man wanted was some photos taken of his vehicle, which took approximately 5 minutes, give or take a minute or two. During my entire wait, I conversed with the two people waiting to be served and attempted to tease and joke with the man with the White Beard. He did respond to me in return, but his tone towards me was not the same as with the others. I don't think he understood that I was teasing. He said he'd been in business 35 years, and I told him he didn't even look like he is 25 years old. He then asked me how old I am. It's very obvious that I am pushing 70 years old, at least I think it is obvious, so I told him I am 25 years old. Most people with a brain would have realized I was joking. I dont think this this guy did. He muttered something under his breath that I couldn't understand because I don't hear well. After finishing with the customer that had to wait for so long, a Black Man, the White bearded guy walked back into the office and said to me "What do you want". Not "How can I help you", or anything else more polite. I said that I needed an estimate on my truck. He said "I don't think I have the time". It took the Body shop I saw before I visited Dusty's approximately 10 minutes to take pictures and provide an estimate. I described the damage, i.e. a dented rear door, running board and rear panel. As I was describing the damage I needed repaired, he sat there shaking his head "no". Then he interrupted to ask me my name. I told him. Then he asked me who I had for insurance, I told him "Progressive", and that I had an estimate from a different shop but they couldn't get to my truck until January 2023. He interrupted before I could get all the words out, and said that it doesn't matter what the other shop estimated, Progressive will write their own estimate, which is true of most, if not all, Insurance Companies. He went on to say that Progressive wouldn't work with him because he wasn't in their system. I had already spoken to a Progressive adjuster who informed me that if I can find a shop that will complete the job any sooner, to call Progressive back and they would schedule the appointment with the shop I chose. I had to stop and start over with that statement several times because he continued to interrupt while shaking his head "no". I finally got the statement verbalized and he told me that it would be longer than January before he could get to it anyway because he had 100 cars waiting to be repaired. I thanked him for his time and I left. The man was very curt, short, rude, obstinate, difficult. Maybe that's just his personality, maybe he was stressed today, maybe he didn't like my looks or the sound of my voice, or maybe he gets so much business he can pick and choose the work he will accept and is puffed up with a big head, self important? I did notice that before he got around to speaking to me he told everyone in his office how many housands of dollars he recently lost at the local Casino. Bragging? Letting everyone know how much money he can afford to lose? As stated, I have heard about his work, and seen some of his work, and like his work. However, if you enjoy being treated like you don't matter, as if you are inferior, like your last name determines how you are treated, like you're the luckiest person in the entire universe that he blessed blessed you with the Holy Word that fall from his mouth because his shop can buy and replace dented vehicle body parts and match paint, if you enjoy or dont don't mind the disrespectful attitute, this is your man.

My wife and I were counting the other day... we have purchased 19 new vehicles of just about every make since we have been married, and I will say this has been the most pleasant experience to date, which is actually surprising because we had a trade to deal with and all of the fun that comes along with that. They gave us more for our trade than any of the other dealers we had visited on the same street (might I suggest staying FAR away from a certain nearby Chevy dealer), and it wasn't even a haggle. It was quick and easy and I didn't get ripped off. I didn't even have to FIGHT to not get ripped off. Imagine that! Our salesman, finance guy and the woman who helped us set up the truck with Onstar service were all just wonderful. I will say I really thought that having a dedicated person to go over the vehicle with you and help you deal with the annoying account setups and such is a GREAT touch of service. Now I haven't experienced the service department yet, and admittedly that is where a lot of dealers lose the repeat customer. We traded in a Toyota and their service department is the sole reason we swore to never step foot in a Toyota dealer ANYWHERE again. It was that bad. I don't expect anything but great service here though based on my experience so far. Bottom line... we feel like we lucked out by coming here and getting the service we received. This dealer is, in our experience, a diamond among the dirt along 36th street.
