Misrepresenting repairs does not earn trust! Definitely make sure you are watching repairs being done to ensure repairs are not misrepresented! Josh originally diagnosed my radiator having a hole, and that my oil pressure switch needed replaced, and power steering fluid out. I immediately purchased the radiator, dealer said he'd get the oil switch. Later when dealer sent Josh to my residence to get my vehicle up and running, Josh verified my battery needed replaced. Came back the next day and replaced the battery and oil switch. Showed me a valve cover gasket and said he'd be coming the next day to install it. He never showed back up the next day. no communication what so ever. I reached back out 4-5 days later asking if he was still planning to come back. He asked if my vehicle was still leaking fluids. I told him I have not driven the vehicle until I know it's safe to drive. The dealer stated he gave Josh $400 to get my vehicle up and running, checked with Josh to see what was done, got back to me and said that the valve cover gasket had been replaced. I still had issues of a bad radiator and losing my power steering fluid. I asked Josh if I could arrange for these to be taken care of. He wanted me to pay for a third diagnosis, which I agreed but first wanted to confirm this said repair of the valve cover gasket install was completed as stated, his reply "we will no longer be coming to work on your vehicle". $400 Josh got to only replace a $100 battery and a ~$15 oil pressure sensor. A radiator and power steering issues would be more important than a valve cover gasket if priority was getting the vehicle operable. So I got another inspection, the valve cover gasket was not replaced, the radiator definitely needed replaced, and the power steering leak that Josh said was just the reservoir tank was actually a cracked rack and pinion. They later doubled back and said that the valve cover was actually only re torqued, but inspection showed that the valve cover was not touched at all. I would like to first premise this review by stating I almost never write or post reviews unless I have an overwhelmingly positive or negative experience. This mechanic was unfortunately the latter. To also address pre-preemptively some of the dismissive responses I'm sure Josh will post in response is that I am a 'disgruntled customer' or in his own words "You have been looking for an easy payday since day one thinking your going to bully your way and sue a company." My family could have lost our one and only car or based on the what he did to our car could have lost our lives when our car broke down entirely. Simple Summary: We needed our alternator replaced. We were deciding between two mechanics and only because Josh (Aliases: Hack It Mobile Mechanic (HIMM) or Nitro Auto Garage and Accessories) advised he had a new shop with expensive new tools did I opt to go with him. My very first message to Josh was to advise if he had any cancellations I had order and received my new alternator and just needed an install (4.5 hour job according to Mitchells guide). He advised if I wanted I could drop my car off and he would get to it earlier if possible. This was on 8/26. I dropped the car and alternator off with Josh that evening he spoke professionally that day and assured me he would hopefully get to my car within the next couple of days. I reached out two days later to check in and asked if he had a chance to look at the car and provide an estimate. I never received a response so I called him the following day. He ignored the call and he responded with an auto reply stating he would call me back. I never received that call back and after two more attempts to call him with no response (at this point I was debating whether my car may have been stolen because I did not know this man very well and hadn't by this point received any quote in writing and he wasn't answering calls or responding to text messages so I debated on whether I needed to file a police report). Two days after that on 9/1/25, I messaged him again stating I need some communication from him that I hadn't heard from him in 4 days and that I needed a response that day from him. 5 minutes after that message to him he responded with a passive aggressive tone stating it was coming in next. I asked if he thought it would be done that day (9/1) or the following day. He stated it would probably be Wednesday claiming his mother had passed away and her funeral was on 9/2. I was respectful in response, apologized for his loss and advised I would make plans to come get the car on Wednesday (we only had one family car so for the entirety of this ordeal we had no car and couldn't leave the house at all). Three hours later that same day (9/1) around 5pm he sent me multiple pictures showing oil under the bottom of the car along with a message stating "We have a massive oil leak and it is the cause for the alternator failure if we do not fix it it will burn the new one up in no time."" -At this point I would like to point out 1) We brought the car in for an alternator to be replaced 2) on inspection the mechanic is advising that an oil leak caused the alternator to fail to begin with 3) acknowledged if the oil leak isn't fixed the new alternator we brought in to have replaced will also be damaged then fail Following these pictures I called Josh to discuss the oil leak and was asking routine due-diligence questions e.g. if there was a massive oil leak why has it not pooled under the car, why has no-one mentioned any oil leak when changing the oil etc. (Trust has to be earned it is not assumed and as a customer I want to understand everything so I can make informed decisions. During this call Josh was defensive, rude, and flippant taking my questions as accusatory and when asked what would be causing the oil leak responded 'I don't know it could be a gasket seal or a cracked head' (essentially shrugging his shoulders) and when asked how much that might cost he gave the same kind of response. The furthest I got on the oil leak portion was to send me a picture with the alternator repair time quote (4.5 hours) and then the oil leak repair time quote (2.1 hours). The way we left off on the phone call is he would verify the parts cost for the oil leak repair and get back to me. I didn't contact him Tuesday as he stated it was his mother's funeral so the following day (9/3- At this point we had been stuck at home without any car for 9 days) I sent a message to ask if he was able to price the remaining parts (to fix the oil leak which he said had caused the failure of the original alternator and which would in his own words 'burn up the new one in no time', I was completely blown away when he responded 'I have not yet. I'm working on getting your alternator in so you can drive it' which doesn't make sense because I thought why would you install the new part before fixing the issue with the underlying reason it failed.
