There are few things I hate more than needing to take my car to the shop. I have literally ridden 'til the wheels fall off in my younger, poorer days. It's not just the financial burden due to being especially poor that keeps me away but that as someone that knows little about cars I just assume I'm going to be taken advantage of. I came here shortly before my journey west at the start of 2019 and can I say for sure that I was taken advantage of? Nope, but I have a hunch that as soon as I mentioned my impending road trip and needing financing, I turned into a dollar sign shaped human being before their very eyes. I came in to replace my front brakes after they began noticeably grinding. Once I was quoted for that repair and was approved for Snap credit I got a call back about how my back brakes were hanging on by a thread and also needed replacing. Also a caliber was rusted and needed replacing. I ended up paying close to $1000 all together. During this pandemic I needed a mechanic to fix my air compressor especially with summer here. I bought a used air compressor before the pandemic and my normal mechanic couldn't fix my car during once the lockdown started. I was left trying to find a place to help me that I'm unfamiliar with and I took a chance with this place. I explained my situation to them and they said that they can swap my air compressor for $500 but they won't guarantee the work because it's a used part. It's understandable if they can't have a warranty on a part they didn't purchase but they should definitely do the job correctly. Also $500 is a lot for this job. I know men think I'm stupid because I'm a girl so when they explained to me that they didn't put o rings on my hoses to tighten them to ensure the freon from the air compressor didn't leak out I was pretty confused seeing that O-rings are $.25 and they most likely had them laying around the shop. They pretty much told me that it's most likely going to leak out and I'm gonna have to take it back to them and spend more money to fix what they didn't fix. I figured for $500 I'm gonna get my car from these people who are simply ripping me off and refused to put a simple thing like a $.25 O-ring on a car hose to stop a leak which was part of their job to begin with. Don't ever go to these guys if you're a girl in need especially during a pandemic because they'll rip you off. This is an email I sent the owner /manner.. I bring it in on Monday July 16th 2018. Shaqil is great. I leave it and get a ride home. Shaqil called me at about 11am saying the jeep needed brakes pads and rotors all the way around and I knew that it did. I asked if he can order a certain brand of brake pads and rotors , Shaqil said that he will check, then a bit later the mechanic called and said that if we order brakes I wouldn't be able to get my car back for a day or two and that the parts that he would use would be better than anything that i ordered...and that i should have my car back today (monday)...so fine, i authorized the repair. no call again all day, in fact i called at 615pm and the shop was closed...On Tuesday when i picked up my jeep for a one day brake job...that took 2 calendar days, I call Shaqil from your parking lot saying that something is wrong with the brakes and I will be back after picking up son..I go from your shop to the romeo library with less and less brake pedal. I pull in to the library and look under my car to find the left rear caliper hanging by the brake hose only and leaking brake fluid. So after being towed back to your shop for my left rear brake caliper hanging off from picking up my $860 brake job..your guy tried to have me buy a caliper..crazy.. as (the caliper) once bolted on properly and the wheel on, cant fall off..the reason the piston blew out the caliper is because it didn't have rotor and pad to stop it..i was very upset..Shaqil knew it and said that the shop will take care of it. A couple hours later Shaqil told me the car was done and asked if I needed a ride....you didn't even offer to drop it off, so i pick it up and in the parking lot still from the major mishap of the brake caliper issue...the brake light is on...your guy didn't check it all out. scary.. I told Shaqil, he took it in the back and Im guessing just topped off the reservoir. i drive the jeep seems to be braking ok..then Thursday morning dropping my son off at camp, i hear a noise while braking, i get home and find the front left caliper top bolt fell out and the caliper was cocked back on the rotor..(see picture)..i had to get a ride to the store to find a bolt to work as getting a caliper bolt had to be ordered.. On Thursday afternoon, i took my jeep to a different shop and asked them to check over all my brakes to make sure i can put my kids in the car with a good conscious ... the tech there found the right front,top caliper bolt loose, never seated in to the threads just being held in by the slide pin... So again. I ask for my money for labor back , as the technician should not be paid, in fact the technician should be relieved of his duties in my opinion, before someone gets hurt, or worse... someone DIES because these brake issues are not simple mistakes.. I look forward to hearing back from you in response to my issue and the money for labor. today is July 23, 2018.. Again... I have not heard back. if anyone has any questions or want to see pics. Avoid... Ordered the wrong part for our car and oh yea the new part is $600 more. Said they have car rental service 2 days $25 a day that they can add to the bill and have me picked up, the person that called me from the rental service didn't know what they were talking about and it was $40 a day and I have to go pick the rental up(Thanks I can rent a car myself). They don't take credit cards over $1000 per invoice the rest has to be in cash (can't be on another card) which sounds extremely shady. One of the first issues they fixed caused another. Went to Auto Pro for an oil change w/coupon(synthetic oil for $40 out the door). Make sure you call and make an appointment, otherwise you could wait forever. So far, service was great. I don't know about auto repair but for my needs, they were fine and affordable. A day or 2 later, the manager contacted me to make sure I was happy with the service. read more

After spending over $3000 for repairs our vehicle is in worse shape than when we brought it there. They keep saying to bring it back but when it is returned there are more things wrong and we keep paying. Never again. I went in for an oil change and these guys told me my breaks were "hours away from going out." I was suspicious because my breaks felt fine so I told them I didn't want the breaks changed and I'd take my car to the dealer to get looked at. Upon saying this, both men I was dealing with tried to bully me into changing my breaks or else "the friction with create sparks and set your engine on fire." In my opinion you should stay as far away from this "Auto Pro" Shop as possible. I'm referring to the Auto Pro Shop on 4775 25 Mile Road, Shelby Township, MI. These people overcharged me. They more than tripled the price of what my shop would have charged me. I was away from home unfortunately. Not only did they over charge me ($750.00 compared to $214.00), when my car was inspected I was told there is no indication that the starter cables had been rewired, they were only sprayed, rewiring didn't even make sense. On top of that, when I called first thing in the morning when they opened, they indicated they would be able to fix my problem that day. They did not call back when they said they would. I had to continually call them. My car was not fixed that day, causing me great personal grief. Auto Pro in Shelby Township, MI, in my opinion, are very unprofessional crooks. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! This is the worst auto repair shop I've ever been too, so bad that I actually had to write a bad review. All I needed was for my driverside window put back on the track so it could roll up and down. They told me it would only take a couple hours tops with a quote around $300. After 2 days I finally get my car back with scratches down to the primer and the window wasen't even fixed but I was charged $550 because they put inparts I didn't even need to get fixed, and never fixed the parts I needed. I've been up there 3 times in the last week and every time I bring it back I have more problems and they keep trying to charge me more money even though nothing has been corrected or fixed yet. So after 7 days I have nothing fixed, and bunch of scratches they won't take responsibility for, my driver side speaker does not work now and I'm out almost $600...They only thing they told me was "sorry that you didn't get what you wanted" as I walked out the last time. read more
