I needed some service work done on a couple of my vehicles. They were probably slow that day because of the cold snap that hit the area, so it was a breeze to get in and out with relatively no wait time. Prices are reasonable. Friendly service. This is not a quick oil change business, but they offer that too. I would not recommend car service at Keith Evola service especially if you have an EV. I asked on the phone for a quote to get my Tesla for a wheel alignment and was quoted $167 with the initial inspection of $99 and it would go to $167. They did not print me or furnished me the quote and ask me to sign $99 initial inspection on a pad that they store on their pc. They charge me extra $83.50 for adjusting the camber and caster and $83,50 for taken the under carriage panel. Total cost $360.72. BEWARE make sure to get your estimate in paper and not by verbal because when I look at my paper they said on 4/8/26 at 4:15pm they put in$334. I did not agree for $334. I only agree for $99 inspection. read more

First off i tried to leave a non positive review but Keith Evola Service sends you a link with "were you happy with your service" then a link that says YES that goes to a review and a NO link that goes to a message you can send to them. So if you have anything negative to say it does not go to a review. My 1.4L 6 speed manual Jeep Renegade developed a misfire issue and this made the check engine light blink with is the worst version of the check engine light. I replaced the ignition coils on all 4 cylinders and it was worse when I started it. I got a parts store to put the scope thing on and it said cylinder 1 and 4 were both misfiring. I put the best old ones in 1 and 4 and it ran just like before the issue. (2 of the new coils from Napa auto parts were bad). The next morning it was VERY hot and humid and the misfire was back. I went to Keith Evola Service and asked if they could get me in and they said they were very busy and if I brought it in on Monday they would probably know something by Thursday. The charge would be $179 to inspect the car and find issues also the $179 can not be applied to the cost of a repair. I understood that and agreed. Brought it in on Monday with a note of a few things I wanted to be checked out during this inspection. I needed a lock installed on the drivers door and the brakes and suspension stuff checked. I also asked them to give it the once over. During the days after Monday I heard nothing so I stopped in on Friday and they said "We can't find anything wrong with the motor but there is no 5th gear". I told them it ran and shifted perfectly when i brought it in. They said the mechanic test drove it and said there was no 5th gear. They said it was probably the shift cable and it is a known issue with my car. After talking a while they said if you push it real hard and hold it in gear you can drive it. They kept it and said they would inspect it and find out what was wrong with the shifting. (Remember they tried to make it miss and it would not. They never looked at anything on the note and didn't check out anything). I checked my dash cam and it showed that the mechanic drove it 4 different times and after the first test drive he said to another mechanic it is fine he fixed it with the new coils. Then another mechanic said no it is still having a problem. *I have to say the mechanic that drove the car drove it very good and did not beat on the car or shift hard at all that I could hear from the dash cam videos. In the 4th test drive he was driving and said, out loud "5th gear is gone". This means that 5th gear was there the whole time until it stopped working during that test drive... Anyway, They called me during work the next day and said they need to do a "Drivetrain inspection" to see if it is the cable that is bad. They texted me something saying the drivetrain inspection cost an additional $169. (This is a problem that happened while they were driving it). I agreed and they said they inspected it and the shifter cable is bad. They can fix it but they have to replace the whole shifter and the cable and it will cost $2300. This is an issue that was not there when i dropped of the car. I complained about the issue not being my fault and Keith said he would charge me for the parts only and no labor to make it right. I very thankfully agreed and they ordered the cable. Keith called me the next day and wanted to to come in. I went there and he showed me a lot of play in the cable and then said when they went to take off the cable they found that a nut had fallen down into the spot where the shifter cable pushes the lever and it makes the car shift into 1, 3 and 5. He told me that nut was blocking the lever and that's why it would not shift. He said it shifts fine now and it was all because of the nut. He said it was from some other shoddy mechanic that left a nut sitting somewhere under the hood or on the motor. (I drove the car for a month before having the misfire and the shifter was very tight, never loose. I think that if someone tells you if you push the shifter REAL hard into gear and hold it, it will not pop out. That was what caused the play in the shifter cable. Also, They did not find the nut during a $169 drivetrain inspection? They told me after the inspection that the issue was the cable. So for all that, them having the car for almost 2 weeks and not fixing anything and I left with a lot of play in my shifter, he also told me I had to pay for the cable that they said I needed then later said I did not need. My original cable took on a ton of extra wear from them pushing and holding it in gear. So he charged me $694.29 for the 2 inspection fees and the cable that he said cost them $249.16 and $48.22 to ship it. $700 to make my car worse. I called Keith and told him that this was not fair and asked him to look at my side. He would only refund half the cost of the cable. I paid $544.29 to get it back worse! read more

Ladies... Right here!! Finally a place that does not treat you like a "dumb girl" or take advantage of you if you are a dumb girl. lol This place was awesome! I had a cobra mustang that was literally melting batteries. I took the car to 4 different places (including the ford dealership) before taking it here. They let me know how much it was going to be to look at it and would cut off at a time before getting more time/cost approval. They were able to find the issue pretty quickly. (Even faster than the time they estimated). They were very honest, direct, helpful and were very clear in explaining the issue how I would understand it. (I'm an accountant, not a mechanic). They suggested getting a used part to save on costs and talked to me about the warranty and issues with used part warranty's. I can't say enough good things about this place. This place should be investigated by the State. Total crooks!! Diagnosis charges were over 500.00 to tell me nothing. They said they needed even more time to diagnose. Seriously!! Pulled my coach from them took it to Cummins to fix. All it needed was a 85 cent fuse. Cummins did not even charge me after showing them what I paid at Evolas. ** A SERIOUS failure on nearly every facet *** BEWARE *** With recommendation from General RV, I took my RV there in hopes of getting my RV road ready for summer vacation. THE APPOINTMENT I called with advanced notice to make an appointment and was assured that they would get it done in time for my vacation. I took it in and described what needed to be looked at. I asked about the 40-point inspection that they advertise, performing on every repair job. It was comforting to know that they could find a lurking problem and that inspection would find it. I dropped off the vehicle at the appointed time. They confirmed when I was leaving on vacation and I told them July 1 to pick it up the morning, because I was headed out on a long trip. I dropped it off on June 16, 2016. Seeing a number of RV's on their lot, I felt these might be good guys. PICKING UP MY RV I called on June 23 and June 27 to check the status and was told they were on track and would call me when it was ready. I called in the morning of July 1 and they didn't answer. I left a message, but didn't get a return call. I waited 2 hours, called again. The person that answered said they would check on the status and call me back. I waited another 3 hours and called again (the third time). I was told to hold and they would check. After a long wait, they came back and said "um, yeah, it's ready". With all the attention they gave to getting it done on time, I was disappointed to find that it was ready, but I had to badger them to find out. SHOCKED AND SURPRISED I rushed to pick it up, while my wife was changing the campground arrival plans for the next few days - pretty frustrating. When I got home and starting to pack the RV is when I found out that they weren't done with it and the RV was a mess with various parts and screws laying on the floor. The generator carburetor was laying on the couch and all of it's various greasy parts were lumped next to it. The coach electrical switch was dangling at the end of the harness and the screws were nowhere to be found. The AC roof vent and switch was laying under the dinette. It was a freaking mess. RIPPED OFF ** They charged me $1,036.99 of which $270 was parts, the other $800 was diagnostic fees. I was told that the generator and AC unit need to be replaced - - another $3500. I called immediately and was told to bring it back and they could get it fixed the next week or two, but were very busy and it was Saturday and they were closing soon. I was shocked - - I told him I'd call him, but knew that I had to put this back together myself and get onto the vacation. So much planning goes into this, I just couldn't postpone the vacation at the last minute, then wait a few more weeks. SAFETY SMA-FETY Within 100 miles of my trip, the front brakes SIEZED. After getting it to another repair facility, they said it was simple to see the problem and that ANY minor inspection would have revealed the issue. It was clear that Evola did not do the 40-point inspection. I refuse to go back. I am still angry. I went to Camping World in Belleville where they will be finished the repairs at a much MUCH lower price. read more

I got my car fixed at this place only because I lived so close. That was a big mistake! Towing is a flat rate of 65$, and 5$ for every mile! What a rip off! I did not get an estimate on how much the parts would be before I could give them the go ahead for them to do the work. I told them that I needed a new battery and alternator so i figured i asked for a full diagnosis as well to see what else needed to be fixed. The "full diagnosis" only covered my electrical system check and not my full car. Rip off! plus they were going to charge my 35$ to get my old battery and alternator back! rip off! fyi, They charged me an 11$ "hazardous materials fee" for replacing my battery. I've never even heard of this and I've had my battery changed in other cars. Rip off! Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I signed up for the Lifetime Oil Change. I still own the same car I purchased the plan for. I was due for the oil change. Mike at the service counter informed me that future oil changes would not be available on this vehicle because I have not had any other maintenance done there for this car. In other words, if they can't make any other money off of you then they do not want to HONOR the LIFETIME oil changes. Mike used very unprofessional language to emphasize his point. They kept me updated with each discovery and asked my permission to move forward before doing any work. They also gave me options based on how much I wanted to spend. I have been in the automotive industry for over 30 years. My GMC Suburban fuel pump failed at 232K miles....I would normally work on this myself but being that it was 10 degrees outside I chose to have a local shop take a look at it. I was quoted $300 at Evola Service in Mt. Clemens to replace the fuel pump which is in the tank and I figured it was worth it. Then after they removed the fuel tank they told me my fuel lines needed to be replaced because they were rusty and leaking so the $300 went up to $900. After that job was done they were backing it off the hoist and the brake pedal went to the floor. They then called me and told me that the brake line had broke when they were trying to fix the fuel lines. So now they have to replace the brake line for an additional $200 so now I'm up to $1,100. Then they call me after the work is done and told me that they broke a bleeder screw from the rear brake wheel cylinder and they thought they got most of the air out. I just put those wheel cylinders on a year and a half ago so I don't know how they broke a bleeder screw. It takes years of corrosion to seize a bleeder screw. Nevertheless I went to pick up my truck today and the brake pedal is almost to the floor. They did not replace the wheel cylinder. So they in fact did not bleed the lines. This was now an additional $135. It's ALWAYS the practice to bleed brakes lines when a brake line is removed. I then checked the prices of the parts. Evola charged me over 3X the price for the same exact parts that the general public can go buy at NAPA and online. We purchased an older motorhome two years ago and as can be expected a few problems came up that needed service. Over the course of the last two years I took my unit to Evola's for service. They did a few major repairs that had problems after the service was done. Rather than going some place else and complaining about the work done by Evola's, I went back and discussed the situation with Keith Evola personally. He apologized for the difficulties I had experienced and asked if he could make things right. I agreed and believe me they really stepped up to the plate and took care of all the issues. It is one thing when a business says they stay by their work and then expend the least amount of effort to fix the problem. But it is rare when a business not only fixes the problem but goes beyond and fixes any issues that they encounter that needed attention. Evola Service is one of those rare businesses. I've been going to Evolas for over 10 years. I was going to the Groesbeck location but this is their current location. Even though I no longer live in the area, I still bring my car here. Mike and Alex at the desk are very professional. They participate with the Lifetime Oil Change and I paid a one time fee and get oil changes at no charge. It was a great deal since I drive about 400 miles a week and oil changes can really add up quickly. It was a small investment that has long paid for itself. I have had several repairs over the course of 10 years between my cars and my husband's and the service has been perfect! They never try to do repairs that are unnecessary-I really like that. If something can be covered under your manufacturer's warranty, Evola will let you know and suggest you go to your dealer. That is truly honest! I have seen them talk to two customers about issues that their car dealer would cover under their car warranty. I am so glad I found this place and they have me as a customer for life! I have recommended several people here and all have been pleased and satisfied. read more
