Jumped on yelp looking for a stereo shop the other day..... Found out audio sound was just down the street from me, so I stoped by in the morning to take a look at what they had in stock. I had bought a car for my teenager with a nice deck but weak speakers and it was severely lacking bass. Car radio installed has poor reception for the most part. Also problems with the alarm system installed. After about 3 months the four way flasher were not working and I could not start the vehicle. There was a mass of wiring just under the dash behind the steering wheel. Buy giggling these then the flasher worked and I could start the car. I orginally dealt with Kevin who was quite nice but when I went back with the issues Toni was at this site. He was rude and just made a bunch of excuses for the problems and did not want to do anything to fix the problem. Mike was there and agreed to rewire the alarm system. I'm stuck with the radio as is. It's been a couple of weeks since the rewiring and so far no more problems with the flashers or the alarm. I would not use this site again. Terrible customer services. read more

I ordered a new speaker and window tint. They did a good job with my speakers, but they couldn't do my tint same day which is weird because they charged me already. I gave them grace and came back to get my tint a week later but still they couldn't do it! ugh so we looked at our schedules and picked the a date. I came in early and still nothing...like WTF!?! Next time you say you're going to do something fucking do it! It's not right to charge a head of time and keep a costumer wasting their time coming back and forth to you to do a job YOU should have done in the in first place. read more

Great service! I asked for a quote to fix my broken stereo for my toyota corolla and they literally put me into their schedule the next day. Not only was their pricing WAY better than what my dealer was proposing, but they fixed up my new stereo in a quick and efficient manner. The stereo that I wanted, the dash kit and all the adapters and components needed were in stock, so they were able to work on my car right away! It did take a while (2-3 hours), but they were able to shuttle me to oakridge so I was able to kill most of the time. Afterwards,the new stereo looked like it was factory built into my car and I'm very happy with how it turned out along with its new features. I happened to pick this store because they were close and had decent reviews. Was I lucky I did! I had to replace a stereo in my RV that I had recently purchased in Oregon, while on a trip. It didn't come close to what I needed and it didn't work properly. I came into their shop and they immediately asked how they could help. They took the time to listen to what I needed, showed me a couple of options, and helped me decide on the right unit - and gave me a great price, as well! They are not only very professional, but everyone there has a great attitude and always very friendly - they treat you like one of their friends just walked into their shop. As far as knowing their business, the other shop couldn't figure out how to connect my Sirius antenna. It took them about five minutes to figure it out. They had my new stereo installed (even though they were extremely busy, I explained I was leaving the next morning on a long road trip, so they installed my new stereo right away), the antenna hooked up, and had me on my way in less than an hour. I had a small issue with the stereo (I couldn't figure out how to adjust a couple of things). I came back in and they took the time to walk me through the things I needed to know, no problem at all and were happy to do it. Writing a very honest review here. I would highly recommend avoiding this place for anything involving stereo's. They may have decent prices for installation, but just remember you get what you pay for. If your looking for half assed cheap work you've found your place! Tony sold me some speaker for my car saying how fantastic they will sound. After installation we played a few songs to test it out. The right passenger side door speaker wasn't working very well. He had to crank the volume to max to get any sound from it. And at high volume they sounded like complete trash! He told me that my amp was the issue, so he tried selling me one of course to make more money off me. I told him i would think about it so i could go home and do research on them. The amp i had was a good brand so i didn't believe him. Tony even told me before the install that this amp would work great with the speakers. He lied. Later that week my entire right side of the speakers (rear speaker, door speaker, and tweeter) stopped working 100%. I took my car to a PROFESSIONAL shop on Stevens Creek to get their opinion. That's where they told me that auto sound & security purchases ALL their product from Audio Design on Stevens Creek Blvd, sells it cheaper, does a horrible installation with cheap wiring all to make a quick buck. Tony will completely jack up your cars audio system and blame the problem on you. If you want quality work done please just pay a little extra and get it done the right way. I learned this the hard way a few times coming to this shop. Now this new place i found is redoing all my wiring that tony messed up. This isn't even a real shop, they work on your car in the parking lot in all weather environments. Pay extra and avoid this place, you'll thank me later! Can't say enough about this place, loved my experience with them. I have never purchased an aftermarket auto security system before and was completely in the dark about the process. They (Kevin) took the time to show me options and features and explained everything in detail. Quotes were itemized and there were no hidden fees. There was no pushy sales tactics or hard sells, which I very much appreciate. The reason why I made an appointment with them was that I was having a security system installed for one of my company's fleet utility vans. I dropped it off at 10 am and it was finished before 5 pm. I came after 5 pm to pick it up and loved that they took the time and gave a very precise tutorial on what to expect and how to get the most out of the system I went with. The business is open till 7 pm during the week which is very helpful for people working a 9-5 and who can't take time off work. They also have weekend hours too, which is awesome and incredibly convenient. Why is it when I got my car back it looked good but I found issues. Your team broke a part on the dashboard and claimed it just came loose. I looked and there was crazy glue. I took the dash apart to see what was broken and noticed it was snapped off. To top it off the unit was crooked. The installer adjusted it again, I took it home and if I pushed the touch screen it pushed it backward again. I took the dash apart myself and the retention screw was missing so the unit was just hanging there with two screws and not the bottom one. Don't lie to your customers and try to hide it. Stop taking shortcuts. If I'm paying this much money for an install I expect the work to be done professionally and complete. I shouldn't have to find problems and return over and over again to get them fixed. Fix your staff. read more
