Extremely impressed with the quality of work and service I received. It's hard to find a shop that works on newer-model BMWs and does the job correctly, and they did a great job on my 2020 BMW 330i Sport Line. They worked with my Zurich/UUSC service contract without any issues, got my car in quickly, and had it done in about a week, including parts shipping. They also warranty the work they do. Communication was great throughout the entire process, and they were patient with my many questions. I never felt left in the dark about what was going on. Great experience overall, and definitely the only place in Roseburg/Douglas County I'll be taking my BMW from now on. When we got the car back there was a wire hanging and things not put back together properly. Within 2 days the check engine light came on for the first time in the cars history. They took over 7 months to "fix" my car. At first they said it was just my belts and that the head was in perfect shape. Picked my car up the first time with them having it for a few weeks. Pick up my car spending 2K don't even make it to the stop light and check engine light is on. Took it back they told me to drive to ucc and back. Whole time car was running like crap. Took my car back to them they had it for another month, called me to say it's working. Go to pick it up, won't even start this back on June. I call them once a week until late August then go in, they haven't worked on my car at all. They then say it's the head that went blown. Go in late Aug they said my car would be done by the time I started school. Got my car back in late December. There was rat poop in my car, there was no coolant in my car, fob won't start my car anymore. Since my car sat all summer the tint on my back window Is bubbled, also they tried to charge me an extra 1K from the quote they gave me because of $79 part. read more

I broke down on I-5. Being on oxygen I depend on the battery to charge my oxygen unit. Tow truck took me there. They ran out and started screaming at us ,you cant bring it here. We work only on cars through a different tow company. So we went to park in taco bell parking lot Again screams we cant park there though taco bell said we could. Then they demanded my title in case I abandoned it. My husband and friend got there.I sat in their truck to charge my oxygen unit while the went to rent a dolly. I bought a used BMW wagon that had a bad motor. Fortunately I bought a warranty. I am SO glad I found Auto Tech. They quickly diagnosed the problem, and suggested I get a reconditioned motor. I called the warranty people and their first response was that the repairs would not be covered. I asked TOM to help and HE CALLED the warranty people and convinced them that the motor replacement should be covered. AWESOME! $3000 that I did not have to pay. Tom found me the best deal on a replacement engine from CA, and his TEAM did a remarkable job completely replacing the engine and fixing ALL the problems. Went there charged well over $500.00 for a simple servicing with new plugs and oil change... I recommend that if you decide to patronize this shop, PLEASE take photographs of any and every area of your vehicle, especially under the hood... BEFORE you go in, so you will have proof if you have need to show them they removed a part from your vehicle that did NOT get put back on...- ...yeah. Good luck. I will NOT be going there again, ever. I am very upset over this, but dare not tell my tale here, lest they also want to make more money and try to sue me for telling the truth... I went in for a quote on a new rotor for my 2012 Passat. The guy at the counter seemed nice enough at first and gave me several prices for parts and labor. I had a weird feeling about the parts. I asked to take a picture of the brands so I could do some do some research before deciding. The guy's attitude change abruptly and was just plain unprofessional. He even repeated "YOU MAY NOT TAKE A PICTURE" several times. In my mind I was like "you may NOT have my business". It seemed like another typical mechanic trying to rip people off. Driving down the I-5, Portland to SF. 200 miles in my 9-5 wagon temp. gauge starts to fluctuate up. I watched it for a couple of miles & one big hill later, overheating, damn! I pulled over and called my mechanic, he said it was the thermostat sticking, find someone who could do it. Well its 2:30pm and the closest town was Roseburg, OR 97470. So I called a couple of places and ended up going to one of the only import mechanics within miles. Got over there and I asked if he could do it, even though it was late in the day. Well the owner changed his shoes, rolled up his sleeves, turned up the radio in the shop and went to work! He had the car done and me on the road 45mins later! We were traveling home to Central California from Washington. Our coolant light went on. We stopped in a town just North of them and they couldn't diagnose our Mercedes. They sent us to Auto Tech. I called ahead to confirm they could diagnose our car and he said sure no problem. As soon as we pulled up David was there and plugged in the computer to run diagnostics. Did the job right and a good job but had a lack of detail. If you own a german auto then you know corners can't be cut. Forgot to reset the system on my 2006 M5 and that can tell the car that it's way over due for a service and put the car into limp mode. Which obviously isn't good. Break and oil derive was done, opened the hood and for some odd reason all the hood rubber seals were all over the place and not put back where they needed to be. Seriously this place blows. I went in there to get an oil change and they charged me $300 and messed with my engine so I would have to go back in there. I took my vehicle to a independent mechanic and he confirmed they tampered with my wires. Would never recommend to my worst enemy. read more

Our BMW engine failed on the way to Crater Lake on a family vacation. We had our car towed to Auto Tech in Roseburg. We were staying 40 miles away. Communicating by phone, Jeremy got on top of it with an prompt diagnosis: a new fuel pump and filter were needed. He gave me an estimate for parts and labor. I called my long-time BMW private shop in Portland. My mechanic checked the cost of the parts and said that is exactly what he would pay. Jeremy said he wouldn't charge us labor for the fuel filter installation because he was doing the fuel pump. Another words, I got a very fair and honest estimate. I said we needed to vacate our hotel the next day and would be dropped off at the shop at noon. The parts were overnighted from Portland to AutoTech. We arrived the next day at noon: the repairs had been made and the paper work was ready - no waiting! Best of all Jeremy said the total cost was $76 cheaper than his final estimate. I'm new in town and I drive a VW which I usually take to the dealership because I have an extended warranty. I'm weary of mechanics because I've heard such horror stories, but my check engine light was on and I needed to find a place that would work on my VW, so I bit the bullet and called. I spoke with the owner and he told me just to come in. He was working on my car right away and told me what he thought I needed. I came the next available day I could and he got my car in right away. It was done in an hour with the original price and problems he had quoted me. He also showed me the parts he took out, and did a full inspection of my car. The service was excellent, I knew exactly what needed to be done, and I didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of. If I could give Auto Tech another "star*" I would! I have lived in many states and cities over the years. Finding someone to service my vehicle (this one a Toyota RAV4), is as stressful to me, as finding a new doctor and dentist. I needed to get my sunroof fixed, something I use all the time. Also, I was told by a drive through oil and lube place that I needed to have my transmission oil flushed, after having an oil change by them. I decided to get another opinion, as nothing was mentioned in my manual about a transmission "flush". As a back up, I went to a local Toyota dealership. The rep there told me if the oil was dirty, they would also flush it. Then I asked about my sunroof. This dealership rep advised me immediately that there would be a $200 diagnostic fee to examine the sunroof. This fee is separate, not applied to the cost of repair of the sunroof. Frustrated by their information as well as the rep's overall attitude, I knew I would not be going back there. I then called Auto Tech Imports after reading good reviews online. After speaking with Jeremy for just a few minutes, I knew I found the right place. He was knowledgeable and thorough. I am a person with wants the detailed information about the issues. Some people don't care. Jeremy told me in detail, the ramifications of flushing my Toyota transmission, had it been done. Not good. I have heard enough "auto mechanic BS" in my life to discern most fact from fiction. Jeremy knows his stuff. Jeremy also admitted to not being familiar with my RAV's sunroof. Another high mark for him. Truth is always the best option. He also told me he would order schematics for my vehicle (from the manufacturer) to analyze what the costs might be, and to know how to properly access the sunroof to repair it, if I wanted it done there. Jeremy was able to give me a range of possibilities or cost, based on other import models they had worked on. Since I wanted the sunroof to be repaired, I asked Jeremy to order all the parts that could be damaged. My RAV is my only source of transportation - so I didn't want to have to wait many more days to get additional parts if needed once they got into it. Now you have to be very trusting of your auto shop to do that. There are shops out there that will tell you "Yup, the whole thing needed to be replaced" when that is not true. However, Auto Tech Import, is not one of those places. When they discovered my sunroof just had some minor damage to the track that was repairable, they told me right away. I paid for some of the parts up front. AutoTech Import refunded the cost of the parts to me, as they were returnable to the manufacturer. That is a first in my lifetime! Haven't even met anyone who had that (refund) happen to them at any automotive place. It was like winning some money on a lotto ticket! Usually it is the opposite, you end up paying more than expected. I have great respect for the shop and all the employees working there. I highly recommend them if you want honest work done, thorough diagnostics, and highly skilled people to deal with. Thank you, Jeremy and Lee, along with owner Tom, and all your mechanics and staff.
