He said they smear so I waited a week and took notice of my wipers and found they were talking quite a bit of wiping to get clean. I talked to him the next week and told him that they were bad and I'd like to replace them. I informed I him what my car was and I would stop by after my meeting. When I drove up and walked into the store, his employee had the wipers in his hands and went out to install them as I paid for them. I was in and out within 5 minutes. The wipers were extremely affordable and worked amazing!! They cleaned the windshield the first swipe. The customer service (speed, installation, and warm interactions) was second to none. The pricing was reasonable as well. He didn't make me feel awkward for not knowing about something as simple as wiper blades. I would definitely recommend Trinity and this store! When you stop by, ask him about his kids; he is definitely a proud papa! You won't regret stopping.

He said he had no access to the service history of the vehicle, but he did show me a ticket for a repair they supposedly made. Within two weeks of buying the truck, these are the problems that arose: -Inexplicably shifted into "Recreational Tow Mode." -Discovered the parking brake didn't work. -"Service 4 Wheel Drive" light began turning on. -Discovered all 4 front ball joints were in terrible condition. -Found out the CD player doesn't work. -Discovered the CV axle and intermediate axle were damaged. -Found out there are 2 fault codes in the computer, C1404 and C1002. C1404 is for the transfer case position sensor, which might explain the truck slipping into "Recreational Tow Mode." C1002 is for the brake switch sensor. -I was quoted over $2,000 for repairs at a local garage. I should also mention that upon calling Justin about the first issue, the truck slipping into "Recreation Tow Mode", he was less than useful. First, when I told him I was able to get it back into 2 wheel drive, he said something to the effect of "cool, so it's all good now." Not the response one looks for from someone who claims to be an honest dealer that makes sure their customers are taken care of. A truck should never inexplicably shift gears, and hearing that one he sold me did, should have been cause for concern on Justin's part. In this same phone call Justin also claimed to have no knowledge of Minnesota's 30-day used car warranty law, mentioned here https://www.ag.state.mn.us/Consumer/Handbooks/MNCarLaws/CH2.asp. This law doesn't apply in my case, but I mentioned it just to hear what Justin would say. I was displeased that he claimed to have never heard of it, despite the fact he has been a used car dealer for quite some time now. Bottom line, I bought the truck "As Is," and I know this. However, I am still enough of a sap to think those who claim such high levels of integrity would seek to ensure I know about potentially dangerous problems with the truck they are selling me. After all, if a ball joint goes out while I am cruising down the highway, it is the lives of my wife, four children, and myself at stake. Is Car Time of Owatonna any worse than other used car dealers? I don't know. Just keep in mind that they are used car dealers and the stereotype exists for a reason. Don't expect integrity and do not take them at their word. I won't be using Car Time of Owatonna again.

My family and I had to unexpectedly stop in Northfield on the road back from Minneapolis to our home in Iowa due to our van leaking fluid and overheating. We had to book a hotel room without knowing at the time how we would get our van fixed. My wife found on a Google search different mechanics and at first no answers, then a quote of $199 just for diagnostics. Finally, around 9pm, I tried Timmy's line and reached him. He was very attentive and polite and assured me he would have us back on the road the next day and could come at 1pm. Not only did George get to us before 1p, they had us back on the road by 4:30p. Low mileage, good condition. HOWEVER, they discovered the minute they got it home, that one of the tires it had on was the wrong size tire for the Van. Instead of comping them a new tire my 70 year old grandpa had to take it in to get all new tires and realign it because of the small tire. We also discovered that the 3rd row seat middle seatbelt (hanging above the seat) is shoved into the ceiling so you can't even pull the seatbelt out. They didn't go over all of the tech pieces with them and they were so confused. My grandmother has attempted to call Nathan many times and he STILL has not answered her back. They completely took advantage of the elderly. It may look like a good deal, but you may pay for it in the end. At least watch for this one sales person, he was slimy. SO DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING!!!

When I complained to the manager, (Tod Peterson) he literally told me that he "can't keep track of all the work that goes on in his shop." A year and a half ago I was having an issue with my Nissan Quest. I could drive it, but it was going through the coolant every couple of days and would start to overheat if I didn't keep adding. I was told that the thermostat probably needed replacement. My regular mechanic quoted $100, but his shop was 50 miles away, and given it was late Saturday I would have to wait until Monday. I had important business Monday and so I looked online for a mobile guy and found Kris, who was willing to come to me on Sunday morning and only wanted $50 if I provided the part. I thought I had found an amazing deal. He showed up as promised, and there was a woman with him waiting inside his truck. I asked how long, and he said it depended on how soon he could locate the thermostat on my vehicle. My Spider Sense was tingling when he was googling on his phone to find info on my engine but I decided to have faith- I would regret that. I let him do his thing, and later when I checked on him I discovered that he was having to borrow tools from one of my neighbors. Not a good sign at all. He did the job but there was bad news: he said the thermostat I purchased was defective and not sealing properly, and so he had to take everything apart so that I could return it to AutoZone for an exchange part. I did, and he put this one one but more bad news: when the car was running the coolant was pouring onto the street (again not sealing). He informed me that what he would have to now do is "make a gasket" for it. I had the feeling of being dragged into quicksand. I had some errands to run and so I left him to work on it. After a few hours of no news I called, and he said he was not able to stop it from leaking and the part wasn't going on correctly, and so he was going to pull it all apart so that I could take it to a shop, as he was unable to fix it. Also, he would leave the old and new thermostat inside my van. I conference called my brother-in-law who is a master mechanic, who tried to talk to Kris about what was going on and how to do the job, and it was clear in that conversation that it was a black belt explaining to a white belt. Kris was clueless. My brother told me privately that hopefully he didn't crank it too hard and damage the housing, which would mean more costly repairs. By the time Kris was finished he had been at my house for 9 hours, that poor woman waiting in his truck the whole time and looking quite pissed. Kris said that whoever had previously replaced the thermostat before had done damage, and so it was all a booby trap waiting to happen (I later found out the thermostat said 'Nissan' on it and was the original part, hence he was making a BS excuse). Really I should not have paid him for this. Not only was my van not fixed but NOW it was totally undriveable, and I would have to have it towed and pay someone else! AND I would miss my important business Monday. But, I could tell they really needed the money, they were stuck in my driveway from dawn to dusk, and I felt sorry for them so I paid him. The van was eventually towed, where it was fixed immediately and correctly. My guy said that Kris must not have been installing it right. When I told Kris this he said that he had tried every configuration. I also told Kris that he didn't leave my new thermostat so that my mechanic could try it out, or if anything I could return it to AutoZone and get my $15 back, and he replied that he would stop by and drop it off for me. I never saw him or the part again.. I could have forgiven ALL OF IT and not have left this review but for the fact that we discovered some items missing from inside the van: my wife's $120 sunglasses and a device she had just bought that wireless connects her phone to the car stereo. She had it for two days and it was gone forever. So NOW I was in hot water with the wife because she had wanted me to send him away at the first sign of trouble and I didn't listen. I know Kris had been inside the van, and my first thought was he was upset at spending his entire Sunday to make $50 and decided to supplement the job. Maybe some new glasses to smooth things over with his own woman? But to be fair the tow truck driver theoretically could have done it as well. Those are the only two suspects. It was a terrible experience.
