I'm not too familiar with the store so I had to search around for quite a bit. I looked lost. No one ever came to see if I needed help with anything. They were just grouped together in the front hanging out, talking on their phones, and shooting the breeze. Eventually I found what I was looking for and went to the register to pay. I walked up and with all the amount of workers there, it took awhile for someone to notice and call me over to a register. His name was Alfredo. I went to pay. Inserted my card, and as everyone knows the card reader days wait for cashier. So I waited, but Alfredo went back to hang out with the other coworkers. All laughing and making jokes. He clearly completely forgot I was there trying to buy something. 5 minutes passed. He finally returns, he is surprised I'm still there. He has brownies and cookies in his hands. I feel completely disrespected and disgusted with his treatment of me and any other customer that goes to this business. I decided not to get the product as a result of Alfredo walking away mid-transaction. I will not be returning here again. I warn others of the amount of disrespect I was shown and urge them not to shop here. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Such a disappointing experience. Tremont Ave store in the Bronx (which was actually closer to my destination on this trip); I decided to take a detour off 95 to the New Rochelle store instead. The staff at New Rochelle location was very professional, from the counter service, to testing my battery, to installing a new car battery (and it was freezing cold outside). Happy I made the detour. I have been to other Advance Auto Parts stores in NJ, this one was the best so far to patronize. A few days before the store visit, I had called the customer service #800 because my Die Hard Battery kept dying, with the receipt, & still "within the warranty window", customer serv said, any location will honor the warranty. But never at any point did he notify to tell me that he was sending a street mechanic to install & charge me. Street Mechanic Junior called me and when I asked what was fee, I was told there wasn't a fee, little did I know, once the street mechanic came and installed the starter he then told me he was charging me $150.00, which was never agreed on from my initial call with Steven from Advanced Auto which they were the ones that sent the mechanic! This was my first and last time ever doing business with Advanced Auto Parts. They scheme and are scammers. Even the manager Esmeralda was in on it! Then I got the run around and was even yelled at for asking for a receipt for the labor I paid for which I never received!, crazy. BE AWARE PEOPLE!!!
