I got a 200 dollar AutoZone gift card and I am inside the Bronx location in Pelham parkway which means it's time to use the card getting necessary supplies. Don't agree with some of the sour reviews as my experience was a good one , as store is well stocked and organized, stuff is easy to find and workers are helpful if needed as I was able to get brake pads and air filter for my honda Accord as well as preventative maintenance supplies which were on sale and when I was done , I had 46 bucks left on my gift card which I can use on my next visit at any AutoZone store .4 stars on my yelp meter . read more

I came to this location on July 24, 2019 @ 9:30pm and had a less than pleasant experience. I came in to return a portable car starter, which I had bought 30 minutes earlier, since it did not work and instead I was going to buy a new car battery. When I proceeded to the counter an employee by the name of Nedra told me in a rude and aggressive manner that I could not return it. If there was a policy where I could not return an item within 30 minutes of purchase it should have been specified at the time of purchase. I told her that it did not work and that I needed a new car battery instead, she yelled for the manager to come. When he came, she asked why I didn't buy the battery first instead (a question which does not concern her). I explained that the battery was beyond a point where it could be jump started and I did not know that at the time of purchase. She asked me to move over to the next counter to be helped by the manager. She then proceeded to make a joke about me to another co-worker standing by her side, and had an obvious laugh about it. When I told the manager who was named Kumar that he should be concerned about his employees behavior towards customers he became defensive on her behalf and asked me what she said in an unconcerned manner. I told her it was her attitude and tone, he proceeded to not take my concern seriously. At this point the other employee Nedra butt into our conversation and asks, "whats he saying about me? Give him any managements number he wants." as if she was not concerned. This was a horrible experience for me and I will not be coming to AutoZone again. read more

Really HOOD. I mean....REALLY HOOD. Whether you're going to pick up a part or just something simple, get ready to be harassed in the parking lot of "mechanics" looking for jobs. They actually do mechanic work like oil changes, brakes etc. in the PARKING LOT...seriously?! I mean, it's cool when you're trying to hustle and make some extra cash but cmon dude, seriously, in the parking lot? I don't understand why Auto Zone allows it. They take up all the spots too. This is the worst auto parts store ever! I placed an order online and wanted it to go to another store because the staff seems to be clueless even the manager. I arrived and the manager didn't even communicate to the other staff that there was an order. I'm standing here with my receipt and the poor kid doesn't know what's going on. You ask for help and parts once you buy the merchandise there ask you are asked to buy the tools or get service from mechanics outside...... when all you need to do is figure out how to do a simple stuff...... Just this morning I pulled into AutoZone's filthy parking lot and was lucky to find a space amongst all the people working on their cars, or people just haphazardly idling their cars for whatever reason. But I figured all I needed was a quart of oil, how bad can this experience be? The oil is at the back of the store and, of course, the grade I wanted was out of reach. I couldn't find an employee to help me so I grabbed a long windshield squeegee to knock the quart I needed forward, so I could grab it. Went to the register to pay. Got in line and was motioned by one guy to come forward. He saw I was just buying something and brusquely said, "Go there!" I said that the other cashier was helping someone, so I stood where I was. He literally swatted his hand toward me like I was a dumb bug, gave me a dirty smirk, and shook his head. Very nasty gesture. I asked, "Is there a problem with that?" I thought he was going to spit at me. Apparently, one side of the counter is for questions or service, the other side is if to check out. When I got to the casher, asked her what his name was and she said "Adrian." Paid and got out of there. AutoZone, this is shameful customer service. read more

Went here for a lock de icer, the sales associate was extremely helpful. That was the only positive thing about this place. The absolute WORST communication when making a purchase. There's no indication on actual purchases and there parts dept. slow, unenthusiastic staff behind there counters. I myself am in retail, and I would never allow this at my business. Zero stars if possible. Horrible experience 2 times in a row. I went in on a Monday afternoon, my boyfriend asked Randi to check the check engine light so we could know what was wrong with the car. Randi said yes she will help, she just has to drop something off inside and she'll be right out. So we waited...waited...waited...AND WAITED. I was getting really frustrated after waiting 20 minutes, I decided to go inside and get her but she had disappeared. So I asked another friendly associate and told him how long I was waiting and with no hesitation he apologized for his coworker mistake and came right away to help me. The next day I visited was today, Tuesday. I came to auto zone to see if one of the mechanics that work outside can change a fuel filter and then I decided to get my motor mounts put it. One of the motor mount was the wrong one so I went into the auto zone and asked if they had it. Lord and behold I'm being helped again by Randi. I tell her what I needed and she tried to argue with me telling me I was wrong and that the pictures on the screen were just angled different and that's why it looked different to what I had. So she send me to a store in another city to get the part. I had to take a cab and waste 40$. So I arrive to the store and I ask the guy first and he told me that the right part was not what was on hold for me. The right part was the one I was telling Randi was the right one to begin with. The store Randi works in has the mount that I needed. Anyways auto zone should hire people with more training and knowledge on cars. Instead of having someone waste 40$ on a cab. read more
