He met with the owner and his son- John Aidala and Steven Aidala, the day before, Being the Matriarch of the family, I felt he should be buying from a larger know company. The neighborhood has deteriorated over the last 30 years and to be honest, I was reluctant to even drive there. Talk about a step back in time-the 79 yr old owner was sitting right there in a 1970's desk, personally greeting anyone that came through the door. All the paperwork was really to be reviewed and more than satisfactory. The inspection had been done at the closest dealers. The son advised me he would pick up my Brother at his home, later that day. "They" would complete everything at the DMV and my Brother could drive his new car home that day. John was reminiscing about "our" school days-we all attended Vincentian Institute. If you want to seriously be treated like "you're special"-go here, Amazing family business that was just honored by the City of Albany for 75 years of service

This was written in November when we purchased the car, yet Yelp somehow buried it. It says…read moresomething that I went looking for it months later to make sure our great experience was shared! We just purchased a used car from Quail Auto Sales and could not have had a better buying experience! We had been looking for a car for our son for a long time at numerous dealerships. Although there had been cars at other dealerships that we were interested in enough to purchase, we never found sales staff that made us feel comfortable that the information we were given was reliable. For us the car was important; but equally as important was feeling that we had gotten a fair deal and trusting that what we were buying was without hidden issues. This is why we purchased from John and Steve Aidala. Their dealership is locally owned and has been for many years. The Aidala's have been part of the Albany community and pride themselves in maintaining a superior standard of service and fair business practice. We saw the car online on a rainy Saturday 30 minutes prior to Quail Auto Sales closing for that day. My husband called to make sure that they were still open and that the car was on their lot. Their website said they were not open on Sundays and we knew that this Prius was a great find. John answered the phone and my husband asked if he could make it there 10 minutes before closing, could he still look at the car? John told him that the rain would make it difficult to really look at the car and he would be happy to meet him there the next day to show him the car, even though they aren't open on Sunday. Every single interaction after that was the same good customer service, fair dealings and just an over all good feeling purchasing a car from them. I will return again to buy from Quail Auto and have recommended them to friends and family.

We stopped in about a week or so ago to look at a vehicle…read more We were assigned a sales person. Although the assigned person was very pleasant they gave us totally incorrect information about the vehicle warranty and also regarding some of the vehicle features. We did not realize the info we received was bad until we did our own research when we arrived back home. Prior to discovering the bad info we actually put a large deposit on the vehicle. Upon discovering the bad info we were going to call off the purchase but decided to go back to the dealership a few days later to speak to a Sales Manager. We made contact with a Sales Manager by the name of Walter. In short, he was honorable and outstanding! He listened to our issues and corrected the wrong feature info we were given and, more importantly, he agreed to honor the vehicle warranty that the original sales person had told us - as incentive for us to purchase the vehicle. He also assigned us a new Sales Representative by the name of Kia Smith. Kia was absolutely SUPER fantastic! She went over every feature detail, answered all of our related questions, and actually sat in the vehicle with us to demonstrate the features. Walter's high degree of integrity and Kia's truly outgoing personality and depth of knowledge saved the vehicle sale for the dealership. These two individuals are an absolute credit to their employer and we would not hesitate to purchase another vehicle from them in the future. This was our second vehicle purchase from this dealership and there will be more (but hopefully not for a while :))

Every dealership I have visited will quote you one price with all fees and taxes included, this dealership does not. But, I have kids and I'm used to the mess, so I said fine. -Told me I'm not allowed to test drive the car. -Got them to agree that test drives are OK but the car was on E and they refused to put gas in it. -Asked if I could drive 1,000 feet down the road to a Stewarts and turn around at least and they let me do that (refused to put gas in again). -SLIME: Was buying the car with cash, but they had me go back and talk to their finance guy about warrantees. Guy offered me a six year warranty I think it was. I think it was for about 5$4,800. I said no thanks and then he offered to give me "a special deal" for somewhere around $2,200. I had no intention of buying it regardless. But, it clearly showed he was trying to rip me off the entire time. - Go to pick up the car (on the day THEY told me it would be ready). They tell me they cleaned it 30 minutes ago and I'll need to sit on a plastic sheet for the entire day. - THAT DAY: The check engine light comes on. -I called up the dealership and they said, yeah I can bring it in, but they won't provide a loaner car, they're going to keep it an undetermined amount of time, and I can go rent a car. THE DAY I PICKED IT UP! -Calls and emails were had with the dealership and the general manager told me I could bring it in right away and they would instantly look at it. - Half a week or a week later after my son has brain surgery, I call on a Friday and speak with a sales manager. They were nice enough and told me to bring it in, they would instantly look at it for me and get me out of there. I VERY specifically confirmed this over the phone multiple times before ending the call. I need a vehicle to be available for my kid and I'm reassured multiple times I can come right in and they'll be expecting me. - I leave my child who just had brain surgery a few days ago to bring this car over and they tell me they refuse to look at it, and I can make an appointment for the end of next week. They will not be providing transportation and will be keeping it an undisclosed amount of time. I get it, in a business when you're buying something and you're dealing with five or six different people, there might be a mess up. However, there was literally NOT A SINGLE positive thing or even neutral (it went ok) step in the entire process. *Not counting the last phone call I had where it seemed to go well and I found out it was all a lie and I left my child for nothing to waste my time for their apparent amusement. - Been telling everyone I know. Not that it matters to them, but I was able to prevent one sale when my stepfather was looking for a car so minor victory for me, I guess. -Filing with the State Attorney General for what good that will do and now I have to spend time and effort on small claims court.

I have been buying cars for 40 Years and most car salesman are sketchy. DO YOU RESEARCH FIRST. Know what you can afford. When they ask - WHAT CAN WE DO TO GET YOU INTO THIS CAR TODAY, tell them NOTHING. You need to think about it and then leave - go home! You will be happy you did. Unless its a one in a million car that is impossible to get, there is another one on the lot that will make you just as happy. Saying NO will give you time to process numbers and make a sound decision!
