I came to Autobahn Service with a car I was looking to possibly purchase and the owner/seller of the car. If you see Lia D's obnoxious review she was the one I was considering purchasing the car from. I had an appointment and spoke to Dom about the car and he took a quick look at it and let me know that he would advise against purchasing it for large rust concerns. The car was in quite poor condition and he explained to me how it would affect my owning the car. He was friendly and informative and didn't charge me for his time briefly evaluating the car. I'm not really a big yelp reviewer but when I saw Lia's review I felt compelled to write this because it is hugely unfair. They represented their customer (me) and were polite while doing so. It is unfortunate that Lia took a man doing his job as bad as she did. Autobahn has been the mechanic of choice for my entire family for 15+ years. Their service is reliable (a rarity in this business) and fairly priced. We have always received an honest opinion as to what service was needed and were never upsold on any work for the car. The owner has helped my mother and I both when shopping for a new vehicle. The employees have always been friendly and accommodating. They provide helpful referrals if there is a job that needs to be done but that they don't do. But more than anything else, they do excellent car work. Everything else is just a bonus. If you have a foreign car, this is the place to go! Dominic and the Autobahn crew are top notch with their attention to detail and expert advice. I had brought my '06 Scion XB to Mavis twice for an oil change and told them the exhaust was loud, both times they said they could not find any problem. I brought the car to Autobahn for an oil change and told Dom about the exhaust and he find a worn out gasket that needed to be replaced right away. I noticed when I put my car in park and turned off the engine that there was a knocking sound coming from behind my back wheel. I gave them a call and I brought it in. When they took a look at it they told me what was wrong and also looked it over and found other things that needed attention. One thing about Dominic is he tells you the truth. Might not always like it but isn't that the point? Has never failed me. Always respectful and polite. Even funny at times. Can ask him anything and mostly he has an answer. For an older car it might be time to move on. Seamless. I dropped off my BMW for a checkup and oil change on a Sunday night. There is a secure key drop box. I received an estimate the next morning. They did the work, including replacing some worn out parts. They called me for a credit card as I will be picking up the car after hours. Done! Highly recommend Autoban. Dominic ordered a fuel pump for my Volkswagen and the supplier failed to add it to the order. Knowing I was leaving the next morning on a cross country road trip he sent someone to the supplier (over an hour away) to bring the fuel pump to his shop.
