Almost $50 after taxes for full service wash, way way too expensive. Because of Jake and Gavin I would consider going back but I won't because $50 can cover groceries, gas or whatever else is too expensive to afford. The Autobell on Merimon was a complete rip off. The exterior job was good ( done by an auto wash machine) The interior I paid for was a hopeless loss of money, I told the kids working there " Do a good job and I will tip well" I don't believe its the kids fault, its the owner and management of this rip off , I called the Autobell phone number and turns out its in Charlotte NC, This is NOT A LOCAL BUSINESS. .. For a full service exterior/ interior BIG disappointment, vacuuming very spotty. Mats ( carpeted) were not run through the machine for such. Staff was courteous and kind but I don't know why I paid for interior when I was forced to get crumbs out of console & vacuum under seats. We need an alternative to this. read more

I was excited when we got an Autobell on Patton Ave, the one on Merrimon was great. I have not been please with the one on Patton. They do a half-@$$ job, they barely vacuum, they don't clean the edges of the windows, and forget about them even touching the cargo area. read more

I have had both of our vehicles washed, waxed and dried (actually the full service package) many times over the last few years and thought they did a good job with no damage caused by either the equipment or staff. They can be busy at times so if you are in a hurry I would recommend you check how many vehicles are in line--either to be washed or interior cleaning. read more

Had my cars washed on a drizzly morning a bit before 9am. After the mechanical wash 3 people started with the hand wiping and cleaning windows. After 5 minutes 2 walked away and one person continued detailing. Matte on drivers side didn't look good and I wiped it with wet paper towel. Attached result. Really good and thorough wash and exterior treatments. Somewhat disappointed at the interior cleaning and specifically the glass cleaning on the interior. When questioned they stated it was cleaned but obviously it had not been touched. But again a great exterior wash and tire treatment. Will try again. Service was awesome! All of the employees were very friendly. I paid for the highest tier wash. Here are the results. Quality of wash- debatable. Let's break it down - Exterior - 2/10. Every panel of the car still had some sort of dirt on it. The rinsing water they use is dirty. Oddly enough, wheels looked great, I wish the car was as good as the wheels. Car still had a legion of bugs all over it. I expected at least most of them to be gone. They wiped it down pretty well, still had to take matters into my own hands for that. - interior - 6.5/10. They definitely focused more on the interior than the exterior. It was wiped down well, vacuumed, but unfortunately there were a bunch of missed spots that are driving me nuts. I think if they had not rushed through it, it would have been more like an 8/10. Would I go again? - No. I am from out of town, and would choose a different place, or a heavy rain storm over this. read more

I just moved to Asheville, and spent a lot of time looking for a car wash as good as the one back home. This place fit the bill. I got the basic package, inside and out, for about $26. They did a great job. Lots of staff to work on my car. I was pleased with the service. Nice people. Total cost was $10 cheaper than what I was paying back home. Asheville seems a bit odd about car washing. Everyone seems to want super cheap and cheap excellent service. This is excellent service at a reasonable price. Great staff makes all the difference. My husband and I requested one of the higher packages and the $15 Extra vacuum to get between seats etc....both were a waste of money. Not only did the car have spots on it and dirty streaks on the windshield the interior was as awful. This was not even a 'normal' vacuum and certainly not the 'Extra'. I have had my car washed at this location on several occasions, though each was separated by several months. During this visit I got the (now expected) requests to "upsell" the wash (especially the "deluxe" vacuuming, a $15 increase above the base cost, which was described as vacuuming under the floor mats and under the seats). The attendant then told me what the charge would be for the wash I selected which was a 15-20% increase above the listed price. I said that this sounded like too much compared to the listed price, even considering that sales tax would be added to the listed price. The attendant said that he would check this, then said that he would "fix" the system, and the revised price was what I expected based on the listed price. I felt scammed. I do not know what the extra charge would have been for. I also have a problem with options and prices only being available at the entrance of the wash tunnel. This puts pressure on customer to make a decision quickly so as not to hold up others in line. This is unacceptable. I do not plan to return. read more

Went to autobell paid for the most expensive wash they offer. This was the worst car was or detail I have ever received in my lifetime. Each time I go it is the same...I beg them to clean the windows. Today was the same....they barely touched them with a dry cloth. I'm giving a two because of the extremely obnoxious hard sell tactics I received today when I took my wife's car for a wash. $21.99 became 31.99 because I was browbeaten into buying up thus hoping the onslaught would end. The wash and interior clean seemed good. No complaint there. Next time I go back I'm going to speak an unknown language to whichever staff person I encounter and simply hand them a 20 and grunt. I'm hoping to find another car wash just to avoid the hard sell nonsense. Update. A nice young man called and we had a nice conversation about my experience. A bad employee can do great damage. Not a very detailed detail. Crumbs left in my console, spilt coffee in my cup holders, and dirt left in my backseats. Also wasn't a fan of the manager talking (loudly) down to the staff right in front of customers. Very unprofessional. But for $26 I guess you get what you pay for. read more

I wanted a drive thru wash. Was offered 2 levels, a 6 and a 10. Told me the 10 got extra sealers. Went for the 10, they sent me through dry, no pre wash from the pressure washer, no undercarriage spray, I reach the end and there are 4 people lounging, on their phones. One looked up and waved me thru, then back on the phone. Still birdshit on my windshield, black road dirt at the fenders, my hood filthy. I don't epect a 'detail' at a car wash, but I do expect it to be washed. Never again AutoBell. Not even gonna waste my time with pics. After reviewing other reviews, most poor, with empty promises to do better for the last few years I think it safe to say this company doesn't 'really' care. Worst place ever! Not only did we pay $25 for then to clean absolutely nothing at all, but they also broke our side mirror and tried to act like they didn't know anything about it. Then they said they could "go look for it" and returned with our shattered mirror. We were told that a stream of water must have destroyed it...well last time I checked, water does not leave a giant black paint-transfer scratch on the back of the mirror. We were also told that it must have been broken and repaired in the past, so they wouldn't cover the damage. Oh, and they didn't even clean our vehicle.. tons of spots and stains that easily came off when sprayed with water and wiped with a rag. Literally this was the worst experience with a business I have had in a very long time, if not forever. So we paid $25 and a $5 tip (obviously before we noticed the damage...seconds before) so that they could destroy our side mirror, lie and attempt to deceive us, treat us with absolutely horrible customer service, and on top of it all THEY DIDN'T EVEN CLEAN THE VEHICLE! I've been going to Autobell for many years and the service and value continues to decline. Up to several years ago, the standard wash and interior cleaning would be thorough, efficient, looking into most nooks and crannies and better than my expectations. Now it's exactly the opposite. The price is going up but the quality of work is way down. They even want to charge an extra seven dollars to clean the rubber mats. I go maybe three times a year, it seems, and I'm always curious as to whether obvious items have been cleaned from underneath the front seats, the console cupholders have been cleaned out reasonably and other such details. It really confounds me how an interior car wash can miss a bottle or can under the driver seat, and lots of other obvious items that need to be cleaned starting with the dashboard and ending with the floors. For $20 plus a generous tip for people who I know need the money I expect a lot more and I'm not likely I'll be going back. read more

Well, I wish I could checked yelp before I tried the car wash. I've tried this wash two tries, just in case it was a particular personnel on that day that was not up to snuff. The first time we paid for one of the larger packages come out with more of the detailing, and they were still issues with the interior. This time I paid for the exterior wash and the interior wipes, and vacuum. When I asked why he didn't get the cupholders or some other spots, he said "well we don't do armorall that's extra." So I asked him to give me the rag and I wiped down the cupholders myself. It came out fine. We didn't need armor all, they just needed to be wiped. I just drove away and noticed there are more spots now that I look even closer where the dash was not wiped down at all, not were the exterior windows wiped as promised etc. I will not be returning. I've given them two chances. Also, the woman next to me was very upset as well and I saw her make them redo some items. read more

The upgrade service ($28) could've been done better with $5 at a do it yourself wash in about the same time. The best word I can think of to describe my experience is DISAPPOINTING. I was looking forward to getting the inside of my car really clean so I paid for the extra interior cleaning. Bah. For $45 I didn't expect major detailing, but when I got back in my card the dash, behind the steering wheel, and the beverage holders were just as I had left them. No cleaning at all. When I got home, I took a microfiber cloth and went over the interior and came out with a filthy cloth. Most of the people working there are young kids, so they just don't understand what cleaning is. Exterior looks great but the interior was barely touched. They somewhat vacuumed the mats but didn't move anything or even open the trunk , the dash is still dusty and dirty, the cup holders have a quarter inch of cleaner sitting in them, they didn't touch the windows or the doors as there's still an obvious spill on the driver door. So, I was charged $50.75, not given a receipt, and got the truck back dirtier than when I gave it to them. The outside was passably better but I could have gone to that automated one on Tunnel for like $5 and it would have done a better job. There were still crumbs in the floorboards and every plastic surface was greasy, at least where they bothered to wipe with what must be the cheapest auto cleaner on the market. The windshield, which I had cleaned the drivers side a few days ago was dirtier where I had cleaned it after I got it back and lint everywhere. I wouldn't return here if they paid me. read more
