Young kids these days don't have attention to detail. You pay for extra, and all you get is a half ass job. I had to grab the towel and get the spots they miss after telling me this is the best they can do. A-little elbow grease is needed. The tire job was bad, I told to get the spokes and they said they did. I pointed to an area wide that it wasn't clean. He grab a towel and one wipe it was off. Just show that the job wasn't done properly. Unlimited wash interior and exterior for 69 a month. Nah, I'll cancel it. Pay my son to do a better job. read more

I went in to have my truck washed before work. Before pulling I'm I asked if my tires would fit due to their larger size. After being assured that they would fit I paid 27.99 got stuck in the wash, at that point I was told to put my truck in reverse and "gas it" in order to get out resulting in a gash in my tire. After filing a claim with store manager Donnell Adam's I was told that they would be denying my claim. I then called corporate on two separate occasions and explained what had happened to my $500 tire and that I hadn't even been refunded my original 27.99 I was told they would refer me back to the store that ruined my tire and stole money in the first place. Needless to say I'll never use an Autobell again I hope the competition puts them out of business read more

I have had them clean the interior of my SUV in the past, however it never was clean to my standards. I found myself always going home to clean after them so I just stopped having this done entirely. I currently only do the exterior wash and dry. The exterior wash goes well and then I typically sit and wait and wait and wait some more for someone to wipe everything down. The most I have waited was 30 minutes. My SUV literally air dries, then they eventually come over and wet it with a spray cleaner and wipe it all down. After that, I'm good to go. There has been a few times where I have been trapped in their line (on the left side nearest the building), bumper to bumper and can't move until they finish one of the vehicles next to me and guide me out. The long wait time is the most annoying thing about this place. They really need a better system. Some days it seems like they just don't have enough staff, other days it seems like they have plenty of staff but all their time is devoted to the interior/exterior cars getting cleaned while those of us just wanting a quick wash/dry of the exterior get left at the very back of the line. read more

I keep giving them a chance but the service is terrible. They don't clean your car. The inside still be dirty. Everytime you have to check your car to go back and tell them to clean stuff. This time my car got damaged. When pulling into the washing bay the young man directed me in so my wheels align with the track. He told me to put my car in neutral and foot off the brake. As soon as the track started my whole back part of my car falls down. It was scary. The track stops. The guy runs to the car and asks if the car is in neutral and my foot's off the brake. I said yes. I asked are my wheels aligned, he said yes. I go through the car wash and my wipes come flying off piece by piece. Once I come out I tell the guy that was scary and check my car immediately. Sure enough my wipers are missing and I have scratches all over my black chrome rims because no my car wasn't on track and aligned. My car falling in the car wash is what caused the scratches on my rims. I heard it and felt it. The young man then precedes to try to tell me the car wash didn't do that. He knew something happened to my car into that's why he came running to my car the second time asking if I was in neutral. They didn't vacuum well. I had to tell the guy to do my trunk (I have a SUV) and wash my mats. I had to tell them to wipe down the door and handles, and get the dust off the dashboard. This was after they claimed they finished. Smh. I got home to find my mats still dirty, coffee stains still on my console, dirty cup holders and dashboard. Very disappointed. I paid $20 for scratched up rims, torn up wipes and to still have a dirty car. I filed a claim with them and was told I have to come back and speak with the store manager who wasn't there. I asked would he call me and they said probably not. They usually don't call. This is ridiculous now I have to track them down. UPDATE: The manager finally reached out to me and he wasnt helpful at all. He didnt resolve the issue and says the damage on my car was my fault and not the car wash. REALLY!! My whole damn car fall in the washing bay and you're telling me that couldn't have caused scratches. I drive me car everyday and these scratches weren't there before I visited this place. Then he addresses the issue of my car not being clean and says oh well the mats are hard to clean. Really? So I got my rubber mats washed and he's trying to tell me water doesn't rinse away small rocks and sand. Shoot all I did was went home and rinsed them and it worked fine for me. The whole place is trash and the manager. Hell they take your money and dont even clean your car and if they cause damages due to negligence they blame it on you. Smh. I'm filing a police report and just have to get this resolved through my insurance company. And reporting this to the Better Business Bureau. They're quick, but a little messy sometimes too. Then they'll park your car every which way and it's your responsibility to maneuver outta the pinch they've put it in. It's like a test. Sometimes you can't even move. The lot is a hot mess on sunny, warm days. Cars are literally parked bumper to bumper. Keys are lost. It's chaos. But most times it's worth it. I've brought my vehicles to this location for the past several years even before it was Auto Bell, I have always been very pleased with the service and cleaning, I never had to point anything out that was missed and always left a great tip. BUT, for the past 4-5 trips to this location I have been very dissapointed! The last few trips have ended with me driving away with a less than clean vehicle even after having to point out things like; needing to be re-vacuumed, interior dressing smeared and caked, windors left with lent and streaks.. I can go on and on. WELL.. This last trip (Today 4/29/11) I took my H3 in to be cleaned, as soon as it came around the corner from the wash I noticed the front hood Louver "WAS MISSING" as I stood up to walk over to find out what happened one of the guys ran around the corner with the Louver ( It's a vent in the center of the hood about the size of.. a TV tray) he quickly layed it back ontop of the hood and began wiping down my car... when I got over there I asked "What the %^$# happened" he said "Oh, my manager will be here in a second" he walked over and got his manager while explaining to him what had happened. After assessing the damage the Manager proceeded to tell me that this was a recall on my vehicle any way and the dealership should be able to take care of it.... He filled out an incident report. I called the dealership right away and scheduled an appt. THEN, when the guy was finished with my car I stick my head in to take a look and I am knocked back with a terrible smell that was all over the interior of my car, Like they had used an old stail rag to wipe down the interior AND this guy got some kind of thick sticky stuff on my passenger seat (like syrup or something) The manager said "I dont know" and asked if I wanted a fragrance???? THATS IT! I WILL NOT GO BACK THERE, AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW, DONT KNOW, CHAT WITH, BLOG WITH OR HAPPEN TO MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH... I think these guys do a great job most of the time. They work hard and they work in some hot/cold conditions so extra props to them. At this location you can pick to go through the drive-thru car wash and then have your car 'detailed' by one of the employees. There are different packages that you can choose from ranging from just a quick wash to a very detailed complete wipe down. It is reasonably priced for the quality of work. I have never had a bad experience with the customer service here, they are always pleasant to be around and do a great job. Some times there can be a bit of a wait to get your car back, just depending how busy they are so bring a book or magazine! read more

This is the worst Auto Bell I've ever experienced. First, the flow of traffic at this location is absolutely horrible. It did not allow space to throw away trash and move items to my trunk as with other locations. The line to even enter extended to the corner of Western Branch Blvd which is NOT a safe situation with other motorists making the right hand turn to get to the community behind the carwash or the Waffle House next door. By the time I did arrive to an attendant, there was no opportunity to view all of the wash options, he offered a "special" that is two Polywashes for "$30 instead of $40", per the attendant. Upon arriving to meet the cashier, I found that the price was actually $38 instead of $40, which could have been a misunderstanding on my part - $38 seems a good price for two car washes so, I relented... I understand that the staff was busy today but my driver's side door, the dash around my gauges as well as the area around the car stereo and center vents are all still dirty. Literally, no one bothered to even attempt to wipe them down. And although it's not really a big deal, I had to remind the young man who was working on the interior that air freshener/fragrance was included in the special and last but certainly not least... There is a DENT in my rear driver's side door. The young man offered to do a claim but insisted that it couldn't have happened there. He pointed to two other small scratches on mu car, which I confirmed were there before from people carelessly swinging car doors open and assured him that THIS scratch and the dent were not there before my car left my sight. I told him to just forget about it. That I have no intentions of replacing an entire door for this dent; "I'll just make certain to never return to this location." The ONLY saving grace in this situation was that the staff was really nice. Even the young man with whom I was discussing the dent was polite and genuinely seemed to care. I was just over the actual technical service at that point. I'm new to the neighborhood and excited to see an AB so close to where I live but will definitely be using my free car wash at another location that I trust. *adds* In addition to the horrible service that I received at this location, I think I left an item there while I was waiting to get my car washed. After realizing that I may have left this item, I decided to see if the item had been left before going back. I called the number listed on Yelp and was directed through an automated system to their "Customer Care" which was a general number/call center to a place that simply takes messages or listens to complaints. The young lady tried to help by getting a number located in their system, hoping it might be a direct line to someone at the location in Chesapeake. Nope. Winter is the best time to come here because there is NO wait. I don't know what it is about the summer months that makes everyone want to have a clean car. I suppose the same theory applies to leg shaving, no? I did an exterior wash, only $17. They do a pretty good job. On the same note, I'm not a crazy car person who shits a brick if someone accidentally dries against the grain. Its not the end of the world. My car is for driving, not for babying. When I need my car cleaned well, this is where I take it. The guys do a good job and they work hard regardless of temperature. One of the things I learned is that you have to be specific about what you want. Pick your package and then tell the guy where you want the car to be vacuumed exactly. They will not vac the trunk or back of the car unless you tell them. When they are done, inspect your car well and if they miss anything, they will address it promptly and politely. I paid almost 50 dollars today for a car wash at this location and after several retouches Still left disappointed. My windows still had streaks and there are spots on my car...they cleaned the inside of my car all except the cup holder areas which were not touched at all it seems. Auto Bell on Western Branch is the only place I'll take my car when it needs a good cleaning. I'm a college student, so it's really important to me that I get alot for my money's worth, and Auto Bell has always made sure of that for me. After pulling into the lot, I was promptly greeted by staff, and directed to where I could wait for my car. The staff was at all times courteous, and very helpful in deciding what my car needed. During this particular experience I had brought my car in after an extensive road trip which left my car in need of alot of love and attention. I watched as the staff brought my car around, and was glad to see the detail and care they put in to getting my car clean. After they finished up, I returned to my car, and looked it over. I was very pleased to see that my car looked even better than before we embarked on our trip across the country. The inside and outside were equally clean, and I am more than satisfied with my recent trip in. Once again, I cannot say enough good about this Auto Bell, and it's staff. read more

I had been here before 2 other times and my car came out great...... I don't even really mind that it's not the easiest place to get into.......this past time that I went the attendant was pleasant as usual....he actually ended up drying my car too and I had left him a tip ....... the whole purpose for me getting the car washed was because of bird poop the size of silver dollars on my hood.... I get home and the bird poop was still there not in the slightest washed off and he dried my car and rubbed it right in. This was shameful at the least, he knew it was there it was bright as day, I had to wash my car at home. Great employees are hard to come by I get it......IF I decide to come back, I will be inspecting before tipping (i dont care how busy it is) I would recommend inspecting your car to anyone using this facility. read more

Overall good car wash but what hurts them is inconsistency. If you're lucky, your car will be attended to immediately after exiting the wash and hand dried before the sun dries the remaining water drops creating ugly white spots. Don't go here if they're very busy. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The overall service was horrible. Paid $45 for nothing. Ended up finishing the job myself as your staff watched. they applied armor all uneven and spotted, left debris on the rugs. i had to finish wiping the interior. The person telling me about what service to buy was mumbling and unclear so selected what to get was nerve racking. When I asked a worker to clean the trunk jams he did a poor job and i had to open the trunk to inspect. when he saw the water run down he sd :"thats gonna happen " instead of getting a rag and cleaning it. so i did..i didnt pay all that money to do the job myself and i didnt but some drive thru service..they also broke my new fragrance in the vent. also didnt clean the vents properly . they also screwed up my memory seats and mirrors. this was just an overall bad service. I did not speak to the manager because there all kids and didnt want to get aggrevated. the service should have been done right. I would not recommend this location to anyone as they all watched me clean after them and did NOTHING!!! read more

The first time I took a car here, they were very attentive to getting all the little recesses and niches clean -- on the driver's side. After I got home and got a good look at the passenger side, however, I was dismayed to see the road film was still around places like the door handle, mirror, etc. I gave them another chance a good while later with another vehicle. This time I did a more careful walk-around before leaving. The chrome wheels still had black streaks so I pointed them out to the person finishing up the car. He took a cloth and rubbed one of them clean (one streak, not one wheel) and told me that the rest could be rubbed off the same way when I got home. Sorry but the whole point of taking a car to a place like this is so I don't have to 'take care of it when I get home'. read more

I feel for what I paid for the special my car was not up to par. The same hand prints from my son were on my window still once car was done. Also didn't appear like my tires had gloss on them. The car also wasn't vacuumed well. I think they rush at times. I'd rather them take their time to have the car cleaned properly. read more

I visit my sister a few times a year and when I do, I come here to get a car wash b/c it's the closest to her home. They never vacuum the back, I always have to request another vacuum. I was very dissatisfied with the poor service provided to me 10/25/2014....it's good to be fast but get it right! Carpet still needed vacuuming in some places and when I asked about the certain section of carpeting being vacuumed the young man stated the brush is "at a certain angle and.some areas cant be vacuumed".????? Streaks of cleaning product left on my console.... Random times I have patronized this location my car looks half clean..they never get it right. Its confirmed that the PortsmouthBlvd location is awesome! NEVER any problems there. Do not take your car to the Western Branch location unless you're in mood of giving away money. read more

I'm so pleased with the service that I received from this Autobell location today! They were fast and did a great job. I got the managers special. My car was filthy, both inside and out. But the ladies and gentlemen at this location took their time and really brought life back in to my vehicle. I feel like I can think better now that my car is shining and smelling like "new car". I don't know how they get away with saying they are a "Auto Detailer" because there was nothing detailed about what they did to my husbands car. They washed the outside and the dash. That's about it. They didn't vacuum the floors, or the trunk. They didn't even TOUCH the doors, there was still dust in the door pockets! I had to get my own tooth brush and detail the rest of it as that's what professional detailer's do. Save your money and go to a REAL detailer. I came here today because my SUV was a wreck. There was mud on the inside everywhere. I asked them to get the mud up, which overall, they did. However, they forgot a ton of very simple details. They didn't clean my cup holders or middle consul. They didn't vacuum my seats. And the back area of my SUV wasn't even touched. I noticed before I left and asked them to fix it. When I got back to my car they still hadn't cleaned those areas. Because I wasn't going to sit there and direct them on how to clean a car, I just left. I don't think I'll be back here. I went in to get my traverse cleaned after a family trip from Florida and was very disappointed with my results. First of all it looked as if the crew was in a hurry to get people in and out quick as possible so maybe thats why my car still looked a mess. I had dried baby milk on the side if my window were my daughter poured out some on the drive. My interior was not wiped down good there was still dried soda along the pasanger door. The only thing they looked like they touched were the wheels and dashboard. Never again I'm going to try car spa in Virginia Beach. read more

I took my new Land Rover LR2 to this business to have it washed on November 8, 2015 at approximately 9am. Once my vehicle was ready, I noticed scratches down the driver side of my vehicle. I immediately let the team member know and they told the manager. The manager begin to ignore my telling him there were scratches down the driver side of my vehicle. So, I pointed all the scratches to him and he begin to belittle the issue and say it was one small scratch. I again pointed out all the scratches that were down the side of my driver side. I told him these scratches were not on my vehicle when I took the vehicle to this business. He began to complete a claim form and tell me he had to do an investigation which included him looking at the vehicles coming out the wash, check the equipment, and rewash my truck. This investigation is one-sided and unfair to the customer because the customer does not know about the equipment nor do they see the investigation process. The manager continuously tried to tell me I put the scratches on the vehicle and there was no way the equipment could have put the scratches on my vehicle. The manager completes his investigation and states Autobell will not be responsible for the scratches. I could not get a direct number to the store manager so I had to call the home office and wait until they gave the store manager the message. He again tried to tell me I put the scratches on my vehicle and I should have taken pictures of my vehicle before I took it to this business. I have also asked the district manager to call and he has not allowed me to speak directly to him. This type of customer service and blaming the customer is despicable. I have made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Wavy 10 News so customers can be aware of this despicable business practice. Be aware that this business will not take responsibility for the damage they do to your vehicle so make sure you take a picture of your vehicle before you allow them to touch it, if you decide to use any of their locations. I have been a frequent customer of Autobell Car Wash for several years and used a few of the locations in this area. The Western Branch location seems to have the worst service of any. Today I paid for the "special" inside and out. I should have known there was a problem since my car was done ahead of four others that came in before. My interior was pretty clean when I arrived but the inside windshield was not even touched and none of the interior had been wiped down. I could still see the light coating of dust on the dashboard. The only door opening that was wiped down was the driver's door. I had an appointment to get to and noticed all of this after I drove away. I called the central customer service number on the receipt. They took my number and I was told someone would call me back. No call. This location provides "hit or miss" service depending on who is working on your car. I don't recommend it unless you have the time to inspect the car thoroughly before you leave. It is not worth $24 plus tip only to have to clean the car again. read more
