Never again will I come here. I pulled up to get my car cleaned and I was getting ready to get out and I was told to stay in. Never did that before. I had a meeting and I was planning to inside to do that. He never asked what I wanted. After the wash I pulled up for interior and he was confused as to why. I let him know the whole reason I was there was for a full clean. He looked at me so strange and let me know I'd have to pay. Um. Of course. I went to my local Autobell today located on Battlefield. The employees are always very nice but I expected more when I paid $45 plus a $10 tip. The front driver tire had no amoral on it and there were ALOT of water and water stains all over my car. I could understand if I had paid $15. I have posted reviews of the Battlefiekd Blvd location in Chesapeake, VA. I posted about the poor services and funds taken from our accounts without permission. Are there any proof we ever gave them permission to do. The young manager stated his company had no intention of any refunds. Shortly after getting ready to take the company to Cort, a Rep called from AutoBell. We set up a meeting place with me being paid back in cash plus a bonus. An apology was given with a huge apology given over they young managers' lack of experience and lack of staff training. All the attendants at this car wash are so efficient and nice. I always get the whole shabang which includes car wash, wax, tire shine, and cleaning the inside of the car and its always super affordable. I think its around $34 with I believe $7 extra for the tire shine. Just like many car washes, you'll also get a free car scent after your service. Even if the line is long, the wait time is still short because the attendants are out there working hunny!! They get the cars in and out which I appreciate so much. read more

I have always loved getting my car washed with Autobell because of their professionalism and service. I decided to stop by last week to get my Tacoma cleaned before my family from Hawai'i came to visit. As I drove up, I was greeted by a friendly worker who explained that due to COVID-19 we were to drive our cars through the carwash. He also shared their current special which was to get everything cleaned inside and outside for under $50. I went ahead and splurged and took advantage of that special. After driving through the carwash, I was guided to my parking stall, and I got out and headed towards the waiting area. I was impressed by the seating arrangements they had for inside and outside. Bravo for offering both seating areas and for maintaining social distancing. When my car was done, the same guy that I initially talked to asked me what fragrance I wanted and if I could check to see if there was anything else I wanted cleaned better. I approved of the service and drove off the lot. I chose their lemon scent which I can still smell one week later. read more

I spent 30 plus dollars for a wash vacum and interior wipe down. The glass is still spotty the exterior isn't clean and I had to have them bacum a second time and it's still a bad job. Never again will I use Autobell. It's a shame as I used them for several years. read more

I was very unhappy with this experience. I read the reviews and took a chance... I should have listened. For the wash and such I selected the Managers special with Rain Repellent. That's the $30 service. I didn't get $30 worth of service. BTW, I went around 8am on a Monday morning. They definitely weren't busy etc. This is what you're supposed to get for $30: Interior vacuum of carpets and seats Exterior Wash including wheels Underbody Wash Double PolyprocessSM for a spectacular clean Application of Polish and Sealer AUTOGLOSSSM specially formulated for lasting shine Dash, door panel, and console wiped down Interior window cleaning Hand-dry by our staff Application of Tire Gloss Fragrance of your choice Rain Repellent on the front exterior windshield At the window when I was making my selection I asked the guy taking my request very specifically to relay down the line and have whoever is going to be vacuuming the interior to please pay extra special attention to it... He obviously didn't say anything and there was nothing special written on my paperwork/receipt that was in the car. The wash itself was fine... The exterior of the car was clean all around. Windows were good as was the dashboard. Vacuuming was sub-par all over. Had to ask to have seats redone and other obvious spots missed. Even after pointing things out I still ended up using another vacuum elsewhere to finish the job. Missed vacuuming the trunk entirely, which I emptied out prior to going. No tire gloss on the wheels, they were flat black. Didn't notice this and the trunk until I got home.... There was no fragrance (new car smell) whatever you want to call it. Also first time I was in the rain after the washing, I couldn't tell that any rain repellent had been added to the windshield. If it was added, the coating wore off immediately. I got my car back and was like "what did you do?" -they didn't bother to vacuum -the didn't wipe down any of the interior The work ethic in Va is really struggling!! I miss the quality and ethic in California-they wouldn't dare give my car back to me in that state! I wish whoever washed my car would have stood by his work a little more. Yes you are washing cars, but my parents always taught me that with whatever I am doing, to always put forth my best work. Even if you do not plan to make a career out of it, it builds character!! I have given my business (with healthy tips for each employee) for years with great satisfaction. This evening I was very disappointed with every aspect of the process. Now granted it was a hot day, and the young adults looked like they put in a full day, but the attempted scolding I received from who I can only determine was the site manager (he didn't identify himself) was unnecessary. It all started the moment I arrived when I described the services I needed to the greeter; interior vacuum and wipe down, tire dressing, exterior cleaning without polish, no fragrance. The response was a sarcastic "so you mean a basic service". I then asked if everything I requested is included in the "basic service" (not certain if the package names had changed) and was told yes. After passing through the wash I parked and left the vehicle for the waiting room. When I realized that I didn't have cash for a tip, I went up front (inside), looked around and noticed the tip vouchers. In front of me was a handheld Point of Site terminal that is used for voucher payments. Actually there were two, one on the outside where the employee stands, and another on the inside facing the public. I took out my card, inserted it into the handheld terminal, it asked for a tip amount, then approved the transaction and printed out a receipt. At that moment I was accosted and directed that I will not use any of the equipment on that counter. I apologized and said that there isn't any guidance to the contrary, and that if this was not for the customer to use then it should be labeled as such. I handed over the receipt and was given the hard-copy of the voucher. Within minutes, the "manager" entered the waiting room and dressed me down for using the terminal and he would appreciate that I never touch it in the future. I explained that I was attempting to purchase a tip voucher for members of his team, and if those terminals are not to be used by anyone but employees, then they should be labeled "for employee use only". He continued the education that most businesses do not allow the customer to use the handheld PoS terminals. I disagreed, he continued, and I ended the debate. When my vehicle was called, I handed my ticket and the tip voucher to the young man and asked if the tires would be dressed. I was informed that the option was not included in my package level. I will more than likely return, but the personalities that were working this evening need to understand (and now is the time to train them, during their entry in the workforce) that doing a good job includes making the customers feel welcome. Unfortunately for this Autobell branch, the leadership is not setting the example. read more

I vacuumed my car before I took it here to make it easier on them and they still did a terrible job on my car...There's still tons of crumbs, the center console has a lot of dirt in it and I asked them to re-wipe it down because it looks exactly the same as when I brought it AND they didn't even try! I feel like I wasted my money on this and should have just done it myself. My car is in no way disgusting, it was a pretty easy job for them and they still made no effort to make this look nice. I literally can't tell the difference between before and after. Very disappointed and won't be coming back here again. read more

My car is a true Peter, and he did it he said job with it. It didn't it up looking better than I expected. And the nice young man really did his best. I was almost done at 25 minutes, but then there was a competition for the vacuum, and ended up taking 20 more minutes. That knocked a star off of the review. I have been to this location a few times. First I will list the good. Service is always quick and friendly. They sometimes have very inexpensive drive thru exterior only wash deals. Several options to choose from to fit various budgets. Now some not so good. I have been on a few occasions now where I've gotten the top of the line and add-on wash (spending $40) and my car is STILL dirty (pictures included). When I pay $10-12, I expect that. However, if I pay $10 just for armorall, I don't expect to have to redo it as soon as I leave the lot. I suggest to skip the bells & whistles, just do that yourself to save some money (you're going to be redoing it anyway) read more

I love that Autobell is open at 7am on Saturdays. I can go workout and get my car cleaned right after. It's the best time to go. I never have to wait too long. There is a small seating area with vending machines for snacks. Today I was a little disappointed. There were still a few bug splats in the front of my car but overall the person did a good job. Just wish they used a differed type of cloth to wipe down the windows. I could see the fibers. You can go to their website and sign up for special offers and discounts. Just left here and I am far from impressed with my exterior/interior clean. The exterior seemed ok except for they only have the robotic carwash clean wheels and it's horrible. It does not clean anything on the wheels. Other than that the exterior was fine. Now the interior is another story. First thing I noticed is there was still dried grass on my carpets and the employee informed me they do not have the tools to remove that.....ok. Then I noticed there was straw paper left in the pull area on th driver's door that I removed myself and then there was sticky stuff in the handle pull on the other side. I also noticed there was some white stuff on my door panel on the back driver side and I mentioned it to employee who said oh let me get that. I didn't even see it on the other side until I left. I drive a stick shift and the shifter boot was unclipped on accident when it was cleaned put and never put back. Luckily I know how to put it back. There was a very dirty area right under where my back seats are that didn't even get touched. Even just vacuuming it would have helped. Just about every surface that wasn't obviously exposed was neglected. They certainly don't seem to care about the detail and just focus on the big in your face areas. I'll attach some pics of what I came home with. I also asked if the package I was getting was the best they had and was told yes. My sister just had a detail done by the car wash at lynnhaven and Holland for a few dollars less and her car looks immaculate. I won't be back here or referring this car wash to anyone. I should have listened to the reviews. I went to Autobell Car Wash to have my car cleaned. It went through the motorized wash, then several employees finished it by hand. I wouldnt say they did a half-ass job, but a three-quarter-ass job. There were spots of dirt left on the exterior, brake dust was still on some of the spokes, and several missed spots on the interior. Not to mention they spilled water on the seat. read more

Unfortunately, I'm seeing a decline in the service at AutoBell on Battlefield. The last two times I've been there I have noticed a quality difference. I got my car washed there a few weeks ago and wasn't 100% satisfied with the drying of my car. It was a relatively busy day so I can't complain much, but after my car came through the wash it sat out in the sun for roughly 5-10 minutes while the employees dried other cars, which resulted in water spots. I asked the employees to wipe it off still anyways and they did an okay job but it wasn't particularly worth having them re-wash and dry... I wiped it off on my own when I got home with a damp rag and took care of it. I just chalked the day up to "They were busy and that's okay" and didn't think much else of it. Well today I got my car washed and it was even worse. I had water spots again where they were not prompt in drying it off, I had to ask the employee who wiped my dash down to actually wipe down the door jam on both sides, and then to vacuum the driver seat (which seemed to be missed when they vacuumed in the beginning) After that I left thinking things were fine until I got home and found a perfect handprint on my back window like the employee cleaned the window first then used it to brace himself while he wiped off the rest of the back hatch door. I ended up cleaning the window myself again when I got home. I'm a little disappointed in this location. I don't know of any other full service car washes in the Chesapeake area so I don't have many other options, but if quality continues to decline I might as well start doing it myself. read more

I have had my car detailed there several times. The past few detailing jobs here were terrible. My car doesn't look like it had been touched on the inside other than a car smell tab thrown in my cup holder. Bug guts and mud still on the exterior. Truly a terrible car wash. I was optimistic going into the car wash and the prices were in line with a hand detail wash so I paid $42 to get EVERYTHING done including an extra scrub on my floor mats. The person who did my interior did a TERRIBLE job vacuuming and left hand prints on my seats from the cleaner. My trunk didn't even get done and the outside was still dirty in areas. I really don't know what's wrong with this place. Like seriously. It doesn't matter if I get the basic service or the manager special upgrade the service is ALWAYS half ass done, in my experience. I don't need for it to be perfect but I would like to check the car for once and not have to ask them to do a very basic and obvious cleaning like wipe a foot print or crumbs on the center console. This last guys seemed agitated and sprayed half the bottle on a mark I asked him to wipe off. After the third obvious request I almost asked for the cloth so I could just do it myself. After the thing with the spray bottle I just put my tip voucher back in my pocket and left. There was only one other customer there so there wasn't a rush or anything. I believe a new car cleaning service will be built off Greentree Rd in the future. I can't wait. I will say the customer service is usually good and the guys are polite, but that only goes so far when you can't depend on the service. It's the closest one to me so if I want to get my car taken care of I'll come over. On a nice day it can get super busy but they do their best to get the cars cleaned in a decent amount of time. They're nice when they greet you to get the cars and when they ask which service you want. They don't try to push you into getting a more expensive cleaning package which is nice. There's inside and outside seating which holds a decent amount of people. On a day where it's really crowded it takes about 20-30 mins depending on how many people are working. When it's pretty empty it can take about 10 mins. Usually I wait around 15 mins if there are other cars in front of me. I think they do a great job, I just wish they had a vacuum that could get in the cracks of cars to pick up dust and dirt. I am extremely disappointed with this carwash company. I paid for the $31.99 exterior/interior cleaning of my truck and i havent even been sitting for 15 minutes in the waiting area, the staff approached me telling me that my truck is ready to go. The moment i opened my truck it doesnt smell that it has been cleaned, the previous dirt marks were still in the center of my console, the most frustrating thing is that all the dirts are still under my car seats!
