I had been told that I needed a tune up but the quotes were a lot so I was putting it off. Well it took a turn for the worse and was getting close to undriveable. I made an appointment with a reputable auto repair shop in the area to get it taken care of. They looked it over and called me and said they were declining to work on it because it had over 10 codes on the OBP scan, they had to jump start it from the parking lot (news to me) and could barely drive it into the bay. They recommended taking it to the dealership (out of the question) or start looking for a replacement vehicle. I left dejected, thinking it was a goner. I called around looking for someone who would be willing to work on it and right away. One call was to Mario, who had a mobile service. I wasn't sure about the mobile thing as opposed to a brick and mortar garage but was willing to roll the dice because he had an opening the following morning. He was running behind due and I considered going to a local shop because I thought he might not be able to get to me and I needed it done that day and couldn't put it off. However, I just had a good feeling about him, and because of our phone conversation he really demonstrated a lot of knowledge about my vehicle. I decided to wait it out and have faith in him, and it really paid off. Not only is my truck purring like a kitten again but his cost came under what the shops were charging. In fact, I couldn't even get a firm quote from other people- they were leaving the door open that the price could go up depending on what they encountered and were also talking about $200ish diagnostic fees in addition to the repair cost before the work was done. I'm gonna be calling this guy, and I'm gonna keep his ass busy. I had a trusted mechanic for over 20 years who passed away, and so I was a free agent looking for another good guy. I think I'm officially off the market and I have three cars that need upkeep. 100% satisfaction today. He's definitely a master of his craft and was very fair and honest from soup to nuts. Now if you'll excuse me I have to get back on the gas.

They don't recommend repairs that aren't needed, which is something I've felt other mechanics have done in the past. With Advanced Auto, that has never been the case. I take my car there regularly, and it's always ready the same day. I truly have nothing bad to say about them. They are kind, caring, and dependable.

A successful shop that is loved by their customers would never need to stoop to this. There are many great, honest auto shops out there. This ain't one of them.

Finding this place was a true blessing. My son had recently purchased a used car and when we went to get it smogged we found out it needed two catalytic converters replaced. After calling around we found out it was going to cost between $3,500-4,000 to replace both of them. This place was the last place we called. J.R. quoted us around the same price as the others, but he also told us of another option he offered called the Hydro Tune-up which could clean the catalytic converters so it could pass smog. J.R. was kind enough to thoroughly and patiently explain the process and let us know he's been doing this for several years with a high success rate. He answered any and all questions we had and boy did we have many. He was very personable and informative. We decided to do it since a few hundred for the hydro tune-up was the only option for my son's budget at this time. Sure enough it cleaned them up and it passed smog the next day! We are so thankful for finding this place and highly recommend. read more

JR and his service are awesome. I brought my brand new 2025 Silverado 5.3L V8 in for an upgraded muffler. JR goes through all options with you, and a first for me, he allows to listen to every potential option on your vehicle! No muffler shop I've ever been to has done that. My daughter reminded me that her old dance studio used to be next to an auto repair shop, which I'd never really noticed before. So, I went online, quickly booked an appointment, and decided to give New Hub Auto Service a try. From the moment I walked in, I knew I made the right choice. Jason greeted me warmly, and I explained all the concerns we had with my daughter's car. I also mentioned I wanted the transmission fluid checked just to be thorough. Despite the fact that the shop was very busy, Jason assured me they'd get started on the car right away and have updates for me by the next day. But here's where they went above and beyond: just a few hours later, Jason called me with an update! He detailed everything they checked--he said they pulled all the tires, inspected the brakes, hoses, fluids, and even the tires--and guess what? Everything was absolutely fine! The brakes still had 70% on the pads, there were no alignment issues, and the car was totally road-ready. They even took it on the freeway to ensure everything drove smoothly! Let me tell you, an unethical shop could have easily taken advantage of this situation. They could have claimed the car needed new brake pads, an alignment, or unnecessary fluid changes. But not Jason, not New Hub Auto! Instead, they were completely honest and transparent every step of the way. When my daughter and I went to pick up her car, Jason went over everything again and reassured her that the vehicle was in great shape. His genuine care and attention to detail gave both of us so much peace of mind. I truly can't thank New Hub Auto Service enough for their outstanding customer service, honesty, and integrity. Jay responded by saying, "I don't care," while speaking on the phone and refusing to make eye contact with me during the interaction. I then asked what was going on and requested to speak with a supervisor. He said his supervisor would arrive at 10am. I then stated this wasn't nonsense and they should do better. At that point, Jay threatened to call the police on me while my daughter was standing beside me witnessing the entire interaction.

I kind of understand since it might be a liability but the rude way in which the guy told me "no" showed he did not care for customer service. After the repair was done the guy told me it was going to be $50. I told him he had quoted me $30 and he said it was more welding than he thought and plus he was saving me hundreds from having to replace the catalytic converter, which wasn't true. When I got home I was able to see the weld and it's no wonder he wouldn't let me see it at the shop. I could've watched a YouTube video and done a better job.
