Only muffler shop worth going to in the IE! I had a custom exhaust that I wanted and this was the only place with great reviews. My friend with the exact same setup showed his custom line to Eddie. Eddie took one pic for reference and replicated it even better than what my friend has. They got it done on NYE and I went into the new year with a brand new exhaust. I recently got a ticket for my loud exhaust (no biggie, I knew the risk). I bought a stock exhaust and brought my car back to Best Muffler. His guys welded the stock exhaust a certain way so that it's easily swappable between my custom and stock. I get so many compliments on my exhaust and how clean the weld is. Absolutely the worst communicators PERIOD. Our Catalytic Converter was stolen so we took our rig there as they said they can fix it within days. They NEVER once called. Never returned a call. Not one time. Our insurance agent had the same issue with them. They got fed up and sent us a check to pay for it rather than deal with this shop anymore. The repair was done and we sold it the same day but it seems the repair is fine. But 3.5 weeks, not one week, and zero calls... Horrible communication. Get it together guys. read more

This place! Man! I tried to get a muffler delete with new mufflers installed (which I was bringing in). Both times over the phone, I was told, "Bring it in tomorrow at 10am." I arrive, and both times, line is out the door and no recollection of telling me to swing by. Each time I talk to someone, it's someone different. I got tired of how they "book" appointments so I called up Warners Mufflers in Oceanside. Told them what I wanted and they said, "if you can get here by 4pm, we'll get you in and out." If I could rate them 0 I would. I took in my 2013 Shelby GT500 to get an x pipe installed and they ruined my $300 front lip. The installer was too careless driving up the lift and didn't realize the lift was too high and the spotter told him to take it easy and he still scraped the lip BADLY! Vehicle was received back with a structural crack in the windshield (from being lifted wrong), it had a mark right over the crack like something was set on the roof, the quarter panel buckled, and there were several screws left under the hood which made the back corner come out of alignment and stick up (I found the bolts when it came home just piled under the hood). Alex stated "it's not my fault, I have cameras, please have it towed back ($400 my cost), he took exactly ZERO accountability, wanted to argue when I told him I would have my glass guy put in the windshield and after offering to take care of it, he stated "you can come look at 80 hours of footage to see what we did, we'll see". "He hen stated I will have my paintless dent removal man look at it". First of all it is "structural damage" not a dent, and it would be a cold day in hell before I had Alex and Best Muffler ever have my car in this shop again!!! IF I COULD GIVE THEM NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD!!!! NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR CUSTOM CAR, STREET ROD OR CLASSIC TO THIS SHOP!!! I would never ever let BEST MUFFLER touch any of my vehicles again and I would warn potential customers to beware of what this shop will do to your vehicle then deny everything. I am reporting damages to the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) and in my opinion all the delays were caused because they damaged the vehicle and were trying to cover it up. The shop owner does not seem to understand that when they are in custody of the vehicle they are responsible for damages caused while they are in possession of the vehicle. I was trying to get to a home that was high up on a hill that was barely a road to do the census. On the way up I started to hear a metal sound and pulled over. My muffler had came off in the front so that it wasn't safe to move forward. I thought I was stranded but a wonderful stranger came down the hills and I was nice enough to stop. He bungeed my muffler up so I could get it to this shop. They were great! Allowed me to pull in and welded it back on so quick and for such a fair price that I brought them back pizza!
