The initial car they assigned had active tire pressure lights, mechanical issues, and a foul odor. After calling ahead to arrange a swap, I arrived only to be told it would take another hour. When a replacement was finally ready, it was a downgraded vehicle with a failing AC system--unacceptable for July in Southern California. To top it off, the staff offered absolutely no apology for the massive inconvenience. Between the filthy, crowded facility and their highly inefficient check-in process, there is no reason to choose Enterprise.

After contacting corporate, the Yucaipa location called me and assured me they had a truck for me, that it was getting an oil change, and that it would be waiting for me when I arrived later that afternoon. I specifically asked if it would be rented to someone else and was told no. When I arrived at 3:30 PM, I walked in to find the manager asleep at his desk, snoring. I knocked on the counter and tried to get his attention, but he never woke up. After several minutes, another employee came in and informed me that the truck I had been promised was no longer available because it had supposedly been in an accident. The interesting part? The employee left me a voicemail at 3:41 PM while I was literally standing inside the office waiting for assistance. After I'd already arranged a ride, taken time out of my day, and shown up exactly when they told me to. Whether the truck was actually in an accident or rented to someone else, I'll never know. What I do know is that nobody bothered to communicate with me until I was already standing in the office. I then spent more time dealing with corporate, who repeatedly promised callbacks and solutions that never came. If you enjoy uncertainty, poor communication, broken promises, and management sleeping on the job, this is the place for you. If you actually need a vehicle you've reserved, I'd strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

The car was a Toyota Corolla and was clean. There was a slight odor of marijuana in the car during pickup but I just fixed that with some air freshener. I got a great deal on the car so I was not going to complain. The reason for the 2 stars- upon returning the car I received my deposit a few days later. No problem. However I noticed that I had an additional charge on my account for $47. When I called I was told this charge was made by mistake and I have followed up week after week and it still has not been refunded to me. I'm not sure how you can even make a mistake and charge a random amount to a customer after our business with them was completed. But it seems shady. All my calls to them have been brushed off and there is no sense of urgency to have this mistake corrected. Good prices, friendly people at first but because of this I will not be going back.

After waiting 20 minutes in line they called my name and after getting to the vehicle, it was wrong (they gave me another customers vehicle, that was also waiting.) So, I go back inside, wait another 10 minutes, explain to the agent and then they ask if I can be patient, while they look into my reservation. After another 10 minutes of scrambling I am told that they do NOT HAVE THE VEHICLEM, that I had reserved 4 days prior / the one I CALLED AND VERIFIED was there and available, one hour prior.... they proceeded to attempt to sell me on something they did have, which is when I shared that I rented that specific size and class because we are driving to Tennessee and specifically due to my wife's severe disability (90% paralyzed from a botched chiropractic treatment in 2021) and the power wheel chair, manual wheelchair wouldn't fit in the standard SUV. So, after waiting there until around 1:20, I called corporate customer service, which was laughable because she said WE CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. (WTF Are you doing then?) At 2:30pm, THEY FINALLY found a full size (smaller, and lower grade) SUV and as consolation gave me a free days rental... i would have GLADLY PAID EXTRA $3-500, just to not go through it while my wife was calling every ten minutes because she needed help.
