Just before 3pm I reached out to confirm his arrival, he said "I should be done in about an hour or two max". I again agreed. At 5pm when I still hadn't heard from him I reached out again and he said "I'm sorry this car is taking me longer then I expected, I might have to reschedule" Might being the operative word, I asked him when he would know for sure if he needed to reschedule and he never replied back....EVER. I 100% get that unforeseen things come up but it takes so little effort to communicate with a customer. 1) I shouldn't have needed to reach out to him each time he needed to postpone, he could have been respectful of my time by updating me and 2) Ghosted by a mechanic is not a good way to build up your business!!! BTW, Estala, changes $100 a hour which after I did a little digging is WAY higher than the norm for a mobile mechanic. Finally around 8pm when I still hadn't heard back from Estala, I decided to call a different company. Not only did they answer right away, he actually SHOWED up when he said he would, fixed my car really quick and charged me less than what I would have paid at a regular mechanic. Total cost was $480 for a new Starter (parts + labor) on a BMW!!! So, I should probably be thanking Estala for ghosting me as it ended up saving me money. Its taken me a little time to post my opinion because I wanted to take some time away from my horrible experience and let my feelings settle. It's been longer then a month and I still feel like he stole money from me. I had to find another mechanic and spent another $1200 to fix the stuff he messed up. I paid $4000 dollars to him for some basic repairs on my 1966 Cadillac. My car worked before I brought it to him. My intent was to double down on the cars reliability. I wanted to update anything he could see causing issues in the future. Especially before it got painted. This was the wrong move on my part. His attention to detail is way below par. I feel like I did business with someone learning on the job. I still can't believe he runs a business like this. Everything he touched, he left his mark on and then some. My brake lights still don't work. My windshield wipers that did work, don't work now. My high beam dash light won't turn off. He fried electrical stuff. He didn't space the distributor right and it failed the day I picked it up the first time. I have to turn my headlights on just to start my car. He changed out the front end (tire rod ends, upper and lower control arm bushing) and didn't even take the time to align the car before he sent me on down the road in it. Keep in mind all this stuff was fine before he touched it. He was just updating things before they became an issue. It took him 60+ days to perform 20 hours worth of work all said and done with. I'm going to give it another month and if I still feel the way I do today I will be reporting him to the bureau of automotive repair because I feel so taken advantage of. Don't risk it with him. Do your homework.

Not only did they dissect my front-end issue, but I also had Trick Trucks install sway bars. The work bays are clean, and the staff allows you to be part of the decision process, no high-pressure sales here and no unnecessary work. I live in Utah but I trust Trick Trucks to a degree that the next time I visit family in San Diego I'll be by for a howdy and maybe an additional upgrade to my Grand Cherokee.
