I have recommended friends and family to L&P but mostly because I know they will do good work. I know price and time are important factors when getting your car fixed and I can say that it has been satisfactory each time. The customer service and focus on attention is important. Lair puts a lot of his dedication and knowledge to work and his team is always helpful. It was about time to write an update as I changed cars and needed to replace front break pads and get an oil change. With pricing it is up front, and if you are ever uncertain just ask. I never had a moment where they charged more than needed to and actually they source parts quite quickly. If I need a quick diagnosis or check up they are always down to do that. I keep returning because of the service and of course because cars need the maintenance. It's a good sign that I've been going here since my last review.

Joey sent over the findings quickly and gave me his honest, upfront opinion on what needed immediate attention before my trip versus what maintenance could wait until I reached my destination. He also provided a clear copy of the inspection quotes so there were no surprises. I brought in my Honda Ridgeline for an issue with my AC. Jason worked with me at the front-desk and went above and beyond to understand my issue and the troubleshooting I had already done. He explained to me CONCISELY what the feasible issue may be, and how they were going to approach a diagnosis. Jason was extremely knowledgeable, and followed up promptly to discuss the fix. Pedro was also exceptional. He found the issue (rodent-chewed wires) and repaired it perfectly. When I picked up my car, he was as excited as I was to have helped me. Before Miramar Auto, I took my truck to the Honda dealer, and they charged twice as much for a diagnosis, only to tell me that I would need a new compressor (incorrect diagnosis) and that it would cost twice as much as I ended up paying out the door at Miramar auto. Since my car had 100,000 miles already before I realized my Mazda does not have recommended transmission fluid change intervals, he let me know that if the fluid was too dirty then replacing the fluid would cause more issues. He was happy to educate and let me know that the transmission gets used to the fluid with extra grit in it and replacing it would take away that extra friction that the transmission needs to work.
