Waited three hours for a tow truck. The sun was hot and the traffic constant and everywhere we called said they couldn't possibly see us until Wednesday or that they we closed. Not HRS, he was there for us! Tom was the best! He was clear, direct and honest. He told us, "have them tow it here and I will do what I can to get you safe and back out on the road as quickly as possible." He was a man of his word. He explained what he thought might be the problem, which it was. This guy works on racing cars, he knows his stuff. He had us fixed and back on the road within 24 hours - just like he said he would. Thomas is kind, considerate, knowledgeable, exacting and reliable. The price was fair and the work was well done. We feel so lucky that HRS was the shop that was open and the one who took our call. Our tow truck driver, when he arrived, asked us where we wanted him to take the car. We told him HRS and we asked him what he thought, he said, "Well, I don't know him personally, but I know he's a great mechanic!" And right he was! The experience of breaking down on the highway out in the desert is not a pleasant nor safe-feeling experience, but Thomas made everything better and feel possible! Thank you, Tom! Yelp Review: Stockton Hill Tires…read more Our Volvo was driving like a bucking bronco, so after getting a referral we scheduled an alignment at Stockton Hill Tires on January 6th. After the alignment, they told us the tires needed balancing as well, so we agreed to that. They took the car on three test drives and assured us each time that it was running "smooth" and everything "looked good." We were told maybe we had "bad" tires or possibly a problem with the transmission and sent on our way. Saying the Volvo was driving "smooth" couldn't have been further from the truth. The moment we got in the car, it was vibrating and bouncing just as badly as before. It genuinely felt like they wanted us out the door rather than taking the time to diagnose the real issue. When we got home, a simple Google search pointed to bad CV joints and control arms. We took the car to Tire Works in Bullhead City, and they confirmed exactly that. It's hard to believe Stockton Hill Tires didn't catch something so obvious. Tire Works replaced the parts, and now our Volvo drives perfectly. The staff at Stockton Hill Tires were friendly, but friendliness doesn't fix a car. Whether they didn't know what they were doing or just didn't want to deal with it, the result was the same. Based on our experience, I can't recommend them. Tire Works in Bullhead City, on the other hand, got the job done right.

Came in for a busted front undershield, thought I'd need to get it replaced but he was able to…read morescrew it back together pretty well. While he was at it he found my brake pads were close to failing (which I already kinda knew about and had foolishly put off) and that my engine belt was close to failing too. Unlike the other place I went to before he told me changing my brake fluid was unnecessary for switching out the brake pads. He was able to get all this done for less than $1000 on a sunday when no one else was open and I had few other options. It's a hole in the wall style place so look for the blue fence with a black gate and call him when your there so he will open up. there were even complimentary drinks along with a dog and a cat. Fantastic place to get work done when your in a bind, highly affordable, seems honest, even refilled my antifreeze for free.
