I took my car in because the drivers window made grinding noises when I lowered it, and then noticed when it was down, I could not open the door. They charged me $495 to fix and when I was driving the day after I picked it up, guess what? Same problem. I took it back immediately and they kinda just shrugged, said a door part is broken and they didn't work on that. NEVER going back. read more

They gave me a better price on a tune-up, but not going to take it, willing to pay more at Honest Jim. The woman at the front counter is rude and sullen. She acts like she is doing me a favor by looking up from her work to help me. No amount of telling a person they have a bad attitude will work, this person is this way by choice, not accident. Additionally, I had an A/C joint to look at, just to tell me if it could be repaired, and they wanted to charge me shop rates to view the joint. The joint is in plain site, and would get a simple yes or no, and then estimate. That made me feel this place was not honest right off the bat, if they can not look at the simple break. Then I read the other recent reviews, and that told me NO, this is not the place to work on my truck. read more

Took my car here as I have been for years. Just went to get a simple oil change and made one request, that they check the tire pressure as I travel every weekend for work and the low tire pressure light was on. Usually checking tire pressure is done with an oil change anyways. Upon getting back in the car after the oil change there was no sticker on the window saying when it needed to be changed (I can't remember stuff like that), and the tire pressure light was still on. I went back in asked for a sticker and asked them to check the pressure AGAIN. The guy said he checked the pressure and it was fine, he just can't turn off the light the tire store would have to do that. So I went to the tire store, he check my pressure and said all four tires were severely low on air and immediately the light went off no special switch or anything. I would use caution when using them if they can not even check the pressure in my tires after being asked multiple times, what else are they not doing? Since SR. left there has been a severe lack of quality service, I would think twice about taking your car here. read more

Took my truck in three times, including leaving it overnight, before they diagnosed the problem: AC unit needed replacing. Gave me an estimate, then increased the estimate by $80 after I brought it in (and after I rented another vehicle for temp. replacement), then increased the cost by $100 when I picked the truck up. Repairman had broken a plastic part ("all repair shops break parts"); only charged me 110% plus labor for the part. AC works, but console was replaced crookedly (can't read VIN) and has new, permanent rattle. They offered to replace it, but wouldn't guarantee they wouldn't charge me if they broke another part in the process. read more

Botched a simple belt replacement, ridiculous "guess" method of deciding which vehicle model/accessory-type led to installation of wrong belt, for wrong alternator, poorly installed, result stranded in desert with huge towing bill. Arrogant & incompetent response, ludicrous shifting stories, no meaningful compensation from creepy owner. Arrogance + lazy prep + incompetence + sleaze = not a good combination. read more

Excellent, timely, and well-priced diagnostics and repair. When was the last time a mechanic spoke TO you, not AT you? Not only did Louis explain the issue with my car in normal terms without being condescending, he had the repair done when he said he would, and at the price he estimated. There were no "add ons" or surprises. I took a chance based on another review, and I am really happy with the result. Two thumbs up, HIGHLY recommend this friendly, efficient shop. We left North Carolina to move back to the West Coast and needed some repair work done on our car. We ended up at Aaction not knowing where to go and were pleasantly surprised at the GREAT service and honesty of their business. This company is a rip off I took my car to them to get a wiring harness when I got my car back my check engine light was on and it was running very ruff when I took it to them it didn't have and lights on and it still ran just had an overheating issue they claim that it wasn't there fault and all there work was fine but the check engine light wasn't on when I gave it to them and it still ran so that's just a big coincidence I guess that the check engine light comes on after a mechanic works on it don't go here it's a rip off read more

I needed work on my exhaust system. They had my car for two weeks before they even looked at it. Then the girl ordered the wrong part which took longer. After spending $1400 to swap out my exhaust system it started leaking 2 days later. The leak was due to a hose that wasn't tight enough. Rather than admit their mistake they charged me an additional $111 to do a 5 second job. I really got the feeling that they prey on women and older people. read more

My son broke down on the way to California on a Sunday. We checked Yelp to see where he should have the car towed. Because he had to get to school, he left the car at Aaction Automotive. My husband emailed them to let them know what was happening. The mechanic Louis called us the next morning, then promptly diagnosed the problem, sent photos of the part that had gone wrong, and had the part overnighted. The shop fixed the car the next day, for a very fair price. We were really at their mercy, and they were professional and efficient. I would highly recommend this business for regular maintenance or repairs. read more

I sold my vehicle to an elderly gentleman who was moving from Kingman to Oklahoma in the middle of summer. The air conditioner was acting up and so I told him to take it in and have it repaired, and that I would pay for it. They worked on it here and charged me $700 for the repair which lasted about one day. He took it back in for further work on it the day he was to leave for Oklahoma with his little dog in 105 degree heat. He made it about a hundred miles from Kingman before the air conditioning quit working once again. This all happened over a period of about three days. I told him to take it to a local repair facility in Albuquerque and that I would once again pay to have it repaired. That facility determined that the air conditioner pump was shot and needed to be replaced all along. The incompetent clowns at this shop refused to stand behind their work and refused to reimburse me for any of the money that I had spent at their shop, that had been totally wasted there. read more

Redemption-I received a very nice call from Raul today. He was out of town when I had my problem. He prides himself on customer service, and wants to work with me to make me a satisfied customer again. I have an appointment on Wednesday. I will keep you posted, but from talking to him, I think that I will be a satisfied customer again. Spoke to Raul again today-feeling very optimistic that oil leaks are going to be taken care of on Wednesday when I take the car back in. This is Monday, and I will continue to post updates. Looking forward to not seeing any oil leaks. Took it back on Wednesday-it was going to take longer than expected-picked the car up Friday. I do not know if all the leaks are corrected-too soon to tell, but I have not seen any signs. I can tell you that they have done everything possible to make sure that I am a happy customer. We took our truck in to get the front end checked and have them listen to a noise we were hearing in the front end. They told us the truck needed upper ball joints and the noise was most likely the steering linkage. There was a previous campaign for the steering linkage that had not been addressed by the previous owner. They also advised we had a radiator leak. For less than $30 we know what needs to be done with the truck and then we'll get the front end aligned. The lady at the register was very professional and helpful. We'll go back for sure. read more

I recently replaced the entire steering linkage and ball joint set on my F-250 super duty. Afterwards I needed to have it properly aligned. The first place in town that said they could do it was a competitor of Action Automotive just down the road from them. After inspecting my vehicle I was informed that I should have replaced the caster camber bushing as well and that my old ones were not sufficient. I was then pressure to allow them to install new ones and add almost $400.00 to the bill. I couldn't afford it at the time and was then advised not to do the repair myself or I might complicate the alignment process and get charged for un and then reinstalling the parts. Remember I just rebuilt the entire rest of the system. I didn't appreciate the high pressure sale and implication that I was somehow not competent to install 2 $10.00 parts that only took me an hour with a floor jack. Anyway, I set an appointment with Action and was told that because I had rebuilt the entire system, it would take longer and more adjustments to get it properly aligned, so there would be a small additional charge. I was ok with this because it made perfect sense. When I picked my truck up, I was told that I had it so close that they didn't need to make many adjustments, so I was only charged for the lesser 2 wheel; alignment, wow, imagine that, honest billing from an auto repair shop. Needless to say I was thrilled, but the story doesn't end there. After several days, my truck started to pull to the right. I thought I had a low tire until I discovered that one of my new adjustment sleeves was freely spinning out of alignment even though it's clamps were tight. Now, I have done a lot of tie rod replacements and have occasionally encountered one of these buggers that fells good at first but really needs to be cranked down to properly lock in place. knowing this, I was not upset with the shop or the technician, It's just one of those things that happens sometimes. The truck did however need to be realigned before locking down the sleeve, so I stopped by Action on my way thru town to let them know what was happening and see when I could get my truck back in. This is where a great business shines, The boss immediately called his tech from the shop floor, told him to drop what he was doing and get my truck on the rack and correct the oversight. They had me back out on the road in 25 min at no additional charge, and my truck drove straight as an arrow. I would have been ok with bringing it back when they had time, but they made time RIGHT NOW. Both the Boss and technician apologized for the mistake. I told them that I understood and appreciated them taking care of it so promptly, I also reminded them how appreciative I was for the way I was billed in the first place. They could just as easily have charged me the higher rate and I would never have known or cared for that matter, but the fact that they didn't, spoke volumes to me about the CARE AND INTEGRITY OF THIS SHOP. I will definitely bring my vehicles back here for any work that I am unable to do myself, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs a quality automotive shop.
