This place is just awful. Definition of a stealership. Luckily I'm a literal Ford engineer, so I can sniff out their lies. SMH - it's so hard to find good help anymore. The only reason I was coming here was for convenience, but even that hasn't been the case lately. This is my 3rd time sitting in the waiting room for 3+ hours for a scheduled, routine oil change. The service department saved me in a major way today. I pulled my camper down to this area and when I got here found the fuel filter was leaking diesel everywhere! I pulled into the service department late on a Friday afternoon of a holiday weekend, hoping they could save me. I had to drive about 2 1/2 hours home on Monday so I had to get this thing fixed. They were nice enough to squeeze me in even though I didn't have an appointment, their diesel tech got to it before too long and got it all fixed up and cleaned up. They had a nice waiting area too for me to sit in and relax while I waited. If you're in the area and you need your car or truck fixed you should definitely check this place out. read more

I WOULD NEVER GO TO THIS BUSINESS AGAIN. I brought my Ford Econoline in to fix a starting / battery problem. They immediately started to fix everything they could think of that might be the problem. Over $1,000 later in wasteful charges they figured out it need a new battery, which they charged me for as well. Horrible experience, management would do nothing, they couldn't even put the cables onto the battery properly as the van would not start the next morning. You have been warned. read more

Yesterday, I walked into Autonation Amherst to have my car serviced. While there, I was on the new car lot looking at a Ford Escape. As I am looking at the car, the porter comes and moves the car without saying anything to me. After which, I walk into the showroom to ask the base price for the 2022 Ford Escape. The first gentlemen says.... So and so "can you help him? I have customers!" There is no one in the showroom but staff and me. The second guy says...... oh you can go to Ford.com for that. Of course I know I can but I'm in the showroom. Obviously I'm looking and in the market to buy or lease. In addition to this..... I was sent an email to upgrade my car because they are in need of used cars like my Ford Eco Sport 2019. I made an appointment for it to be evaluated while I was getting the car serviced. Well..... I sat in service for 3 hours. No one came over to evaluate my car or speak to me about trading or upgrading my car because of there need. I guess I'll go to another Autonation where people like me are welcomed and appreciated. Customer service is everything. read more

Bought a new Focus in 2014. Not the best service. Called recently about a recall notice I received. Left one voicemail, no return call. Called several times never got an answer. Tried again, finally got an answer she said service was busy took my number and said they will call. Still waiting. One last time - called and received answer at service the girl said she was having computer issues and would call me back - still waiting months later. Made appt at another dealership. We recently took our escape to be serviced by autonation, I have been a customer since 2012. This has been BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE. I would not recommend using this service department after what happened to my family, which is sad because I have been purchasing and servicing my cars with Autonation since 2012. This business put my 2 year old at risk and in harms way and didn't even apologize. I will not be taking any of my cars back for servicing and honestly I don't think I will ever purchase another ford because of this experience. Three weeks ago our escape broke down, we had it towed to Autonation because at that time we trusted them. We learned that our transmission had blown up. We were quoted three different prices and were told many times we would be contacted when we were never called. My husband had to spend many days calling them to get updates on our car. After our car was "fixed" my husband and 2 year old went to pick it up. On the drive home the car started to smoke, my 2 year old was in the car. My husband called Autonation to let them know about this. The service people minimized what happened and acted like we should be thanking them because they provided us with a loner car. They towed our car after being in the shop for two weeks to fix a "fixed" car. This car spent another week in the shop. Not once did anyone call to apologize or provide us with updates. My husband had to call and pester them about the issue. We go to pick the car up today, I made a comment about the car smoking, NO ONE APOLOGIZED for what happened but provided me with an explanation as to why it happened. This company put my child at risk which could of potentially been a fatal situation and we did not receive any calls from management apologizing. This is disgusting and very upsetting. I have been a valued and loyalty customer to this company since 2012 and this is how I am treated. I am very sad to have to write this review but the service we received in addition to how my family was treated was unacceptable. Due to their negligence my child was exposed to fumes when we paid to have our car fixed and we not once received an apology. They did take $400 off the total bill after they quoted us wrong three times but didn't have management reach out or even apologize. I would never recommend taking your car to Autonation Ford Amherst after this, these service people should be upset with their choices and actions. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! Dropped wife's car of for service, was told they couldn't fix cause to many miles. No biggie. But when we went to pick up vehicle we had to pay for the 152 point inspection on our 2018 edge. Really. We never requested it. Awesome way to put my wife on the spot. Also the decided to rotate the tires and put the bad ones on the back the day before it snows. Brought it up to the general manager and says if you buy a new vehicle we will knock off 400 and give 2 free oil changes. Wow so you can screw us some more. BUYER BEWARE. We went to AutoNation Ford- Amherst to purchase a car! We were told upon purchasing that the breaks had just been redone on 2007 Ford Expedition, which we did indeed purchase around April! We now enter Into June where the breaks are locking up, front breaks smoking, and wheel bearings & rotors needing replaced already! The salesmanship at this "dealership" is sub par and no where appropriate to even be allowed to sell a car! We had what we thought was a warranty- but that's next to useless!!! If an individual has barely had a car you'd think that the dealership would have made it right! A complete disgrace!!! We will not be back and will never give anyone a positive review on behalf of this "dealership"!!! We would have thought they would have made it right.....NOTHING!!! Worked with Jesse Hernandez on my truck purchase. All done on line through emails and a couple phone calls. Very easy to deal with and he made it go very smooth; even with using Ford Finance. The only criticism I can make is the dealership has a location in my home town but couldn't deliver the truck there. They need to figure out how to do transactions not only within their own company, but also in between other dealers. I shouldn't have had to drive an hour and a half to finalize the deal when they have another location 15 minutes away. Come on guys - you work for the same company... Figure it out - this should be a no-brainer with technology today. Autos and service are commodities today, I can and did shop around to find the truck I wanted, you are lucky I was ok with driving to you. Facilitate the process to serve more customers! read more

She waited for us to get there after she was scheduled to leave, and was really helpful and did not make us feel rushed with our purchase! Everyone was very helpful in explaining all of the options about financing, warranty, optional coverages, and did not make us feel pressured in any way. They went above and beyond to make us feel like valued customers, even though we were not buying a Ford and were buying used! There were no high pressure sales from Jeff Wells (at least I can say that was a great point of my experience) when I took the blazer for test drive I could hear a rubbing squeaking noise from under the hood. I pulled over and found the fan extremely loose. I knew it was a water pump issue I took the truck right back and pointed it out to Jeff; he said they would fix it. They did fix it and I took it out for another test drive. Found that the washer pump for front was not working he said it would be on me to fix. Ok I understand that the truck has high mileage for the year it was and there would be some issues. but I thought that they fixed the water pump issue I could replace the pump myself, And asked if maybe he could knock a few hundred off the price for the pump Issue, That did not happen, what a night mare it was to replace the pump not to mention how costly it was. I also found out the hard way that there was no spare tire with the veichale when I got a flat of course that was an expense I was not counting on had to buy a rim and tire. Also when I tried the radio 4 days after I bought the truck (I really don't listen to the radio all that much) only one speaker works and I am still trying to find out the problem with the door locks not unlocking when put in park. Which I was told was an option which it is slandered. I guess I was impressed that they took care of the pump and was not checking for the obvious things. Like I said the truck had high mileage on it so I wasn't looking for a brand new veichale just something safe and able to get me thru a few years till I was able to get myself stable enough financially to buy new. Jim Lee from Ed Mullinax for a 3rd time and still a charm! I'll first start by saying that I'm not the type who returns to the same car salesman. I never have! I always had the interpretation that they are solely there for themselves with no regard for the customers needs. Car salesman are usually the type to try and clean your clock. Jim Lee isn't your typical car salesman. He understands that people have a budget and will try to suggest and fit you into something to meet your financial standards. You won't be pushed over and nagged to try and talk you into something over your budget. Jim isn't about hitting you over the head to try and put you into a nasty financial situation. Unlike your typical salesman, he focuses more on client retention. He would rather you leave happy so you come back, and I have done just that 3 times now. After my first purchase from Jim, he expressed after sale care. He didn't just take my money and run. Jim made sure I was happy even after the point of sale with a friendly check up call to see how I was doing and if I had any questions. He helped me setup my ford sync system and showed me how to use all the technology my vehicle came equipped with. After a year went past I had a question about one of the features and Jim was still very happy to help me. I then purchased a second vehicle from him for my wife and just now added a third. With a wealth of knowledge and a friendly professional attitude, Jim Lee exceeds your expectations. Each and every experience was pleasant with no regrets! I cannot recall a more satisfying vehicle transaction than the one I received from John Barcia. I have purchased many cars and have dealt with many more used car salesmen. Using that experience as a measuring stick, I honestly have to place John at the top of the list in quality of service. He not only sold me a truck I couldn't be happier with, but cleaned it up, serviced it with an oil change AND a wheel alignment because HE thought it wasn't steering right ( I had no issues with it until after he had it done and made it steer even better than it did) and to top it all off, filled it with gas! Ladies and Gentlemen, I challenge you to top that. A hubcap was missing and we received only one key at the time of delivery, but John ordered a hubcap and made sure we had the other key for the truck. He even installed the hubcap! What more can I say? But to be an honest broker of opinions, I will mention the only issue I had with the transaction is that I am no fan of 'set price' vehicle sales. This idea that there is no 'dickering room' for a vehicle strikes me as a total artifice and usually results in my rapid exit from the showroom. Again, I must commend John's sales acumen in that he was able to successfully navigate those choppy waters. I may have paid more than I was expecting, but the service received after the sale gave me something I felt, while not justifying, ameliorated that issue. I'll look to John again for my next vehicle. read more

Drove 3 hours to buy a 2004 Marauder. When we test drove the car there was an issue with it. With traction control on top speed was 42 mph. When we raised this concern the Used Car Sales Mgr Mr. Vance said we could easily fix it. He claimed the previous owner "tuned" the car that way and he further when the Amherst Auto Nation got it they also received the scanner/tuner used also came to them. He then said anyone who drove a car over 42 mph in the rain was reckless (I guess he never heard of the highway) and smirked all the while and never offered to correct the issue nor offered to include the scanner/tuner with a $10k auto purchase. That scanner/tuner could run several hundred dollars. We expressed concern that it could be more involved than that and he replied no car is perfect. The real issue is the vehicle is unsafe as is. If you are on a highway you can't use the traction control in rain or snow. He was unconcerned. The sales person by the name of T. George was excellent and unfortunately he lost a sale because his boss stepped in playing hard ball and making fun of me and my 23 year old son. This man was unprofessional, rude and arrogant. read more
