WHERE'S THE TRANSPARENCY??? NOT HERE! I was just here at this business this Tuesday, 2/24/26 and have been regretting, the day I went. I have been looking for a car since the end of December, looking at CARFAX, cars.com, car gurus, individual companies, pretty much everywhere. I've even test drove at least 5 different cars. I came upon this company, thru the web(I don't think thru any of those sites I've mentioned) and noticed that they have like 4 cars that i wouldnt mind test driving, looking for an suv, not per se a particular brand. When I mentioned to the sale guy, he gave me a snide remark, that should've been my 1st warning. Sales guy, was very laid back(which you think was a good quality), no pressure sale, which was nice. But he really didn't know his trade or his stock. He couldn't really give me any details on the cars I was driving. Literally holding a conversation with my self. My 1st defense for looking at cars is a FIXD device which is golden(a definite necessity for any car owner. This little device fit its the ob site under the dash. It will tell you of the things you don't see. I wanted to look at 4 but only 3 were available. I test drove the 2016 red Subaru Forester, 2021 orange Kia Seltos and the 2018 Grey Nissan Rogue. After test driving each car, I plugged in the FIDX remote, scanned the cars. Each car threw a red code, which is not good. The forester threw up 10 codes and the other cars threw up 1 code each, but both were in the red. Which what you don't want. I'm hoping to show you pictures of what I am speaking about. So I course I was baulking at even getting any of them. O did I mention I drove like an hr and 20 mins to get here, really not worth it. I really wasn't thinking too clearly, I think. I should've left right then. I really did want the forester, but 10 codes, I couldn't even considerate it. I said I wouldn't mind purchasing the seltos, it had 1 code, but I wanted my mechanic to look at it 1st. He arranged it where I could get my mechanic to look at it, and if there was anything wrong they would fix it. The sale guy kept saying the mechanic was going to poo po the car just because of its color. I told him ive been going to the same guy for over 20 years, he wouldn't do that. So Wayne, 1st gave me the #'s, their site said $17,400 and all those other sites said the same amount. He literally added another $1000 because I wasn't financing the car, I was paying cash. That's when I should've left. Again. I liked the car. Later i had read their mission statement, they want their customer to have transparency and confidence in buying a car. They state that on their site. They said that the provide each customer the carfax with the histories, owners, accidents of each car, NEWSFLASH-They NEVER gave me the carfax. As I was saying I've been looking at cars since end of December. I was NOT looking at cars with multiple owners or accidents. I thought I had looked those specs, but there were other seltos and foresters and rogues I was looking at, and I must of mixed these up also. IF AUTOPROVED LIVED UP TO THEIR MOTTO, I wouldn't be on this site complaining. I gave autoproved $1000, non refundable deposit, in hopes of returning the next day to pick up my car and pay for it with a check. IF I SAW THE CARFAX, I WOULDVE NEVER CONSIDERED THIS CAR. Multiple owners, and accident(s). CARFAX LITERALLY SAID THIS CAR SHOULD SEE A COLLISION EXPERT. I saw this fact after I got home. I had literally called my mechanic for them to go over the car. I was so filled with despair, when I saw the CARFAX. I couldn't go thru with the sale. Wayne wanted me to pay for the car, take it to my mechanic and then if they found anything, autoproved would pay for the difference. The next day, i told my husband what i found out with the carfax and that i wouldve not went thru with the sale.HE WAS PISSED with them beinging dishonest with the price and now with the carfax, he didnt want anything to do with them. DO YOUR HOMEWORK FOLKS. DO NOT VISIT THIS BUSINESS ITS NOT WORTH YOUR SAFETY. I feel like I should be able to get my deposit back and that is definitelya safety issue,(THIS LITERALLY ALL HAPPENED IN LESS THAN 24 HR) for the sake that they didn't provide that CARFAX, when it literally clearly says it on their website that they do that. Absolutely terrible experience. My brother applied for a car loan here and put down a $2,000 deposit. The dealership knew his Pennsylvania driver's license was suspended, meaning he couldn't legally get insurance, register, or drive the vehicle. Despite that, they tried to push the sale through, telling us he could just "get a REAL ID or state ID" -- which is completely false and misleading. Now they're refusing to refund the deposit, even though the sale cannot legally be completed. Their own paperwork says "with approved credit and pending verification of stipulations," and this situation clearly fails that condition. Instead of doing the right thing, they're using fine print to hold the money and avoid responsibility. I wouldn't recommend anyone trust this dealership with a deposit. Be very careful -- make sure you read every line before you sign, and don't believe everything their sales team tells you. read more

Don't buy AS IS HERE! Bought 2015 Silverado right before Thanksgiving 2025, drove it back and forth to work for just about 3 Weeks and engine light started flashing out of nowhere and EXTREME smoke coming from exhaust. Contact sales multiple times and finally was told there's nothing they can do but just a free diagnostic and whatever has to be done I will pay for, I had it towed to my mechanic and he found internal engine problem low compression (50psi) which is either bad lifters or blown engine. He said during the inspection that the dealership had done it should have shown internal issues! In the short time I drove it wouldn't have started this problem. So after speaking with my attorney first step is contacting the Attorney General Office with the Inspection report from dealer and the Inspection report from my mechanic. Then will move forward with my attorney, because some people are under the assumption when you buy AS Is in Pennsylvania from used car dealers it's your problem, we'll hope this information helps others because that's not always the case there is what is called Used Car Fraud Law: PA's law protects buyers from dealers who use unfair practices or fail to disclose damage to major components (engine, transmission, frame)."As-Is" Isn't Absolute: It doesn't shield dealers from fraud or failing to disclose known, severe pre-existing defects.Also what you can do is contact the financial company you got your loan from because when I did they seemed just as upset that they paid for a vehicle that is useless as well! There will most likely be a response to this saying something about a maintenance contract well I have one and they say it's only for paintless repairs so watch out for that, and when my wife and I asked about a warranty the salesman said they don't have warranty because they guarantee that the vehicle's they sell are in great condition since they send it through a thorough inspection before coming to the sales lot! But back to the maintenance contract no matter having one or not a major engine problem less than a month shouldn't determine wether you have one or not. My buddy that referred me because he got his wife a car there a week before me called me today saying his wife's check engine light just came on in her jeep she just got! Seems like a recurring issue with this place! Should have read all these negative reviews before going! -Responding to response, Yes the day I was informed that your business is willing to do a diagnostic It was said that you guys will make me an appointment with service and asked me to drive it there, I said it can't be driven due to safety concerns that it's extremely smoking out the exhaust which is not only safety for me but others on the road, so then I was told I would have to pay to have it towed which I said I just had it towed back and forth from my mechanic which cost round trip roughly $350 I don't have the money right now to tow it to your service garage. So don't make it sound like I just didn't want to, I financially can't right this minute. Did you guys understand that and say well we will have it towed here and figure out if you would have to pay it back later or anything NOPE YOU SURE DIDN'T! One professional mechanic garage did an 1hr and a half diagnostic and didn't charge me for it at all so for you to make it sound like your doing me a favor with a complimentary diagnostic is funny! Most garage do free diagnostic! 3 other professional mechanic garage's have told me as well as the one that diagnost the issue all told me if you guys did the proper inspection that truck never should have been on the sales lot! They said part of a full inspection is running a scope through the engine by taking spark plugs out and draining oil and scoping threw to see any problems, if that was properly done the problem definitely would have been noticed. Purchased a 2017 wrangler in early April found a bubble on one the tires they got me a new tire . The wrangler I purchased also had a small water leak around driver window soft top to be expected but they also repaired the seal and replaced the seals . very Happy with the way I was treated . Bought a 2013 Ford Escape. Vehicle was illegally inspected, had two missing lug nuts. Lug nuts were wrong for Vehicle and bottomed out. All 4 wheels were loose and car drove terrible. Had to purchase new set of lug nuts and it drives great now. I was never shown any of the features and how they work on Vehicle. When I sold cars we had to know our product and show customers everything. I would not recommend this business to anyone. This was not a base model, it is an SEL fully loaded. And your inspector should have license revoked. None of the lug nuts were tight because they were wrong for Vehicle and were bottomed out. You wanna defend piss poor business practices go right ahead. I can play this game forever. If you had even offered to make it right I would not have done a bad review. read more

BUYER BEWARE!... should be their motto. Bought a car from Autoproved for my son after an unfortunate accident totaled his. Two days later the check engine light came on. I immediately called them to report the issue. I had it diagnosed and was told it needed a new engine. Autoproved refused to work with me on any reasonable remedy, only repeating that I bought it "As-IS." Prior to me purchasing, they touted the multiple "Rigorous" inspections that cars go through before selling. Apparently not rigorous enough to identify a cracked engine. I am totally disappointed in their lack of willingness to work with me to make things right. They only seemed to care about getting their money and moving on. I should've listened to the terrible Yelp ratings, and numerous online complaints from other customers. I was told specifically by the General Manager, " ...our mission statement is transparency ". He assured me there would be no hidden costs, and warned me to watch out for this at other dealerships. When I decided to purchase a car from him, right off the bat, he had his sales person add a $1,000+ warranty to the price without asking me if I wanted to purchase it first, which I didn't. I understand that they have to "offer" any warranty available but this warranty was added to the cost without asking if I wanted to purchase it. When he offered me only $100 for my car, I decided to not trade it in but rather sell it to my nephew, since I was already offered ten times that much at another dealership, and that other dealership actually looked at the car, Autoproved did not. He then told me my interest rate would go up on the financing if I didn't have a trade in. I asked him to explain to me how that is possible. With that he pulled up the bank application online and showed me the interest rate with and without the trade in. The interest rate was the exactly the same. So i told him I would like to sell my car on my own for a fair price rather than "giving" it to him for 10 times less than it was worth. He said, I can't honor the sale price on the car then. This was the original price that was advertised online. There was nothing stated about having to have a trade-in. In fact, when this same General Manager texted me at home the night before to warn me about other dealerships having hidden costs, he texted, and I quote, "Please just ask about the total price when there, our mission statement is transparency, That means we don't charge or add any additional fees. It's the price of the vehicle, 6% sales tax, 394 PA Document fee, and state standard registration" At this point, I was very disappointed but I was running out of time having waited an hour and a half for the finance person to finalize the paperwork. I had had a previous commitment, so I just said fine, I'll "give" you my car for the $100. As I sat waiting again to finalize the paperwork, feeling duped by this General Manager, I copied and sent him the text that he had sent me the night before, quoted above, and prefaced it with: "This is the text you sent me last night stating transparency is your mission statement. Unfortunately, I haven't seen that from you today." As I was finally reviewing the final paperwork with the gentleman from the finance department, The General Manage came out of his office, and said, "Rip up the paper work, I'm not doing business with her(me)!! Unbelievable to me, a 66 year woman, to be treated with such disrespect. It had been a long time since i had bought a car. As a retired nurse, widowed at a young age, and now on a limited income, I knew what I could spend on a car going into this deal. I did my homework. I have excellent credit because I don't spend beyond my means. I didn't try to haggle with him for a better price. I was willing to pay the price at which the car was listed, I just wanted a fair deal. This was not the place for transparency or fairness. Despite being shocked and disappointed with the General Manager, I remained considerate until the end but I assured him that i will tell everyone I know of this experience. Lucky for me I got a great deal on a certified preowned Toyota Corrola with less than 9000 miles on it at Glenside Sloane Toyota the next day. Go there people, ask for Eric Tunkel. (1) SHAM ADVERTISING/HIGHER PRICE: As other reviewers noted, AutoProved advertises one price online but when you start doing the paperwork, they tell you the discount online is only for "locals" so you have to pay a thousand more than what was advertised. When we pushed back on that BS, we were shown the "fine print" and told we had no influence in the area; therefore, no discount. We work in the area! Our extended family lives in the area! Our son lives in the area! Did not matter. No discount. (2) SHAM CLAIM THAT VEHICLES ARE THOROUGHLY INSPECTED: The salesman also told us that the cars are "thoroughly inspected" and go through rigorous testing prior to being placed on the lot. Also BS. We had been looking for a specific car for several weeks as we needed a replacement vehicle. Found one online at AutoProved, so we drove 1.5 hours to get there. Because of traffic, we arrived to drive the car right before closing time. Test drive went okay but the salesman had already started the car before we got in to drive. When we got in the car to drive home, the car's warning signals were going off saying that there was a headlight malfunction. AutoProved's doors were locked and no answer on phone, so we had no choice but to drive away, figuring we would call the next day. When we talked to Wayne, the salesman, the next day, we advised of the headlight malfunction, Wayne could care less. He informed us there was no warranty and we would have to pay AutoProved for the repair. I don't think so! We took it to a trusted mechanic who determined the headlights were not OEM and the bulbs were installed incorrectly. So much for AutoProved's BS that they thoroughly test and inspect each car. SHYSTERS! Unashamedly uninterested in safety or customer service. Wayne knew that a teenager was going to be driving the car. He could care less if we had operable headlights! STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! PS Wayne reached out after this review was posted. No apologies, just argument. He tried to re-write history by placing all the blame on us and specifically blaming us for not buying the extended warranty on the car. Although my original review was positive, that has since changed. I bought my car on June 2. Over the following week I noticed that when I go over 40 mph and brake, my car shakes. The faster I go and brake the more the car shook. I called AutoProved on June 9 (exactly a week later) and spoke to my "go to" guy Daniel. I explained what was going on and the earliest appt I could get was June 14. On Monday June 12, I called the salesman who sold me my car, Wayne. I explained the issues and asked since I haven't had the car for 2 weeks do I still have to pay bc most car places give you a 30 dy grace period for any issues that may arise. I was told that since I didn't get the extended warranty there was nothing he could do and he can't override policy. He also said I'd be looking at $150/diagnostic plus whatever to fix the issue. I asked how this car passed inspection in May 2023 with this issue. Wayne tells me that "they" prob didn't do a road test where they go above a certain MPH and they didnt feel the shake. So then I called the GM who was not in. I called back on June 13th to speak to the GM, Vince. I explained to him the situation. Vince looks up the car and states that it passed inspection with flying colors and that they wouldn't go over the speed limit to see if something is wrong with the car. He also told me that since the car is still covered under the initial factory warranty I could take it to any Hyundai dealership to get fixed. He then informed me that once you drive off the lot (with no warranty), doesn't matter if it's 2 days/weeks/years, it falls on the owner (he said all dealershops follow this practice). He also brought up how old the car is (2019). I told him it wasn't about the age of the car bc I bought the car due to year and low mileage but I also expect that when I buy a car, new to me, there is nothing wrong with the car. I told him that this is an unfortunate practice that he and any other dealership practices. Although I like my car, it's unfortunate that there is already something wrong with it and the people that sold it to me won't do anything. I feel they didn't do a thorough inspection, I feel they did whatever to pass it and sale it. read more

Let me start by saying, pull your own Carfax report, don't go by what they give you or what they tell you. I blindly trusted the Carfax that they gave me and when I pulled my own months after, I discovered that it was damaged but it was not on the report they gave me. When I called, I was told by Autoproved " We don't have to tell you if it was damaged" Great isn't it? If you want the full story keep reading, otherwise, just be careful. I bought a vehicle from them about 2 years ago. Months after, I scraped my BUMPER on a curb and had it fixed. The place that fixed it, got a new bumper and painted it and installed it. What I know is that I never damaged the hood, and the paint is peeling off of the edges. (The tiny little edge that is close to the wiper blades. (You can see it when you are sitting in the car.) And the edge where you would pull the hood open. It's slowly peeling back further. The paint job on the hood, was clearly done wrong. Remember that, the rep told me: " They don't have to tell you if it was damaged" so just be careful. It was my first time buying a car. At least the price was great so it will help me pay for fixing the hood that I did NOT damage. read more

I live in NJ 2 hours away from there and they had used Ford Flex i was looking for. I said i wanted 5,000 for my Jeep trade in and to be at around 250 a month on payments. I told the young girl who called me that if it seems we can make a deal i'll go out there but if I'm not even in the ball park for how much they own the Ford for then don't make me drive out there. She had me submit the financing application which i did. Spent to days back and forth and couldn't get a sales rep to call me back to tell me if they would give me what i wanted for the jeep could they get me at around 250, the girl kept telling me just to come in and i told her i'm not driving 2 hours just to hear they can't bring me any lower than 400 a month or something. Then she said my Jeep wasn't worth 5,000 without knowing anything on my Jeep or checking the blue book value on it. I told her i was already offered 5,000 at other places but they just didn't have a Ford Flex and she said well go there then and became rude. We purchased a vehicle from this dealer last week. The advertised price was 15,600-ish which was a really good deal for such a low mileage car. We were approved for financing online and I spoke with the woman in charge of financing who confirmed the selling price of the car. We checked it out via CarFax and researched the VIN number prior to driving three hours to the dealer. The salesman was very pleasant and printed out the paperwork while we test-drove the car. As I was looking over the paperwork, I noted that the selling price on the paperwork was a thousand dollars MORE than was advertised on CarGurus (thank goodness I print everything out). When I questioned the saleman about this, he said "Oh, the lower price is ONLY for the people who live in the area. They get the discount" What???? He informed us that since we didn't live in the area (not out of state, but not in the immediate area), we didn't qualify for that "discount." I told him I called BS and we got up to leave and he kept insisting that it was "still a good deal"...we got up to leave and the manager caught us as we opened the door and wanted to know what was wrong. I gave him an earful on the shady practices and conning people into paying more. He made that extra thousand go away, gave us a great trade-in price for our vehicle and threw in a 36 month, 3 year bumper-to-bumper warranty. But, ONLY after he was caught red handed trying to scam us!! Poor business. We will NOT be returning to that dealer EVER. Meantime, I noticed that they have our old vehicle up for sale at an outrageous price with no mention of the torn interior and bad engine (rings are fried) and the damaged right rear fender. No photo of the actual vehicle--just a stock photo. Buyer Beware of these people! Fortunately, we did get a great price on an excellent car AND a three year warranty. read more

Purchased a 2017 Nissan Armada for over 28K. One week into owning vehicle developed electronic issues. Back brake Light was out amongst other minor issues. Drove 60 miles to dealers mechanic. They lied to me and told me there was no problem with the brake lights. 2 days later I parked in my driveway and my wife said that the brake light was still not working. I went out and bought a bulb. Now all kinds of issues started, I called the dealership and told them the mechanic lied about fixing the issue. I asked the Manager Vince to call me. Again and again my calls fell on deaf ears. I took the car 10/7/21 to the Nissan dealer local to me.They told me there were wires that were spliced under the vehicle and there was no warranty coverage even though I spent 3K on an extended warranty. This vehicle was Inspected in May by this dealership. They fraudulently passed the inspection knowing that the wiring was defective and the Brake lights on the drivers side did not work. My Nissan dealer told me there are wires under the vehicle that were spliced improperly and because it's not a defective part but basically is a vandalized vehicle with the wiring being cut. This did not just happen and is proof that the vehicle should never have passed inspection. I have contacted the State Police about this Fraudulent inspection. I agree with others that Vince is a terrible manager as he would never accept or return my calls. I guess spending over 30K isn't enough to get any customer service. Turn and Burn If you are looking for a relationship with a dealer, this one is not that. We bought a car for my daughter and the price was good. I had my mechanic look over the car and he said the vehicle needed tires and he priced out the tires that were on the car to be $800. Being a nice guy I told the owner that I would split the price with him. So instead of taking $400 off the price he added $400 to the cost and put tires on the car that cost, from what I found online, to be less than $400 installed. When I asked him to give me an invoice for the tires he gave me one with the total being right at $800. I found that to be very interesting so I called the tire shop where they got them and they told me it would be $380 for all 4 tires installed. I will never buy a vehicle from this dealer not matter what price I would find a car for. I am more interested in a relationship, not a dealership that makes you feel like you have to take a shower after you leave. It was my second time buying a car from here and my experience was amazing! Jessica helped me the whole time and was so patient with me. Keith was also absolutely amazing with helping me with the finances and signing all the paperwork. No one rushed me or pressured me into anything. It took me four hours to decide on getting a car and they helped me every step of the way without judgement. Jessica was so delightful to work with. She even helped me with insurance. We were greeted outside by Santos. We will never go there again. We got home from buying a car there & my husband heard a noise. He took it to our mechanic they said the issue this car had doesn't happen overnight. Our mechanic said it appears they cleared the codes on the car & didn't do the work. NO INTEGRITY!!! Went to look at a high end car.. it looked like it was painted by ray Charles. I bought at another local dealer

Fairly disappointed. Bought a 2015 Honda CRV. Drove it home to VA to get inspected. Failed inspection. Rear right break pad and rotor were worn out. To confirm, I took to another mechanic that I trust. He verified the issue. This should have been caught/fixed prior. When I called to inform them the sales manager came off rude and defensive. This cost me $250 to replace both rear pads and rotors. The manager then goes on to tell me the work the car had prior to sale...to include wiper blades. It rained on the way home. I had to purchase new wiper blades because these were so bad. Either 1) they are lying OR 2) they have someone doing crap work on the cars. Either way, their responsibility. I would not have left this negative review had the manager that called me provided genuine concern and done something to make up for the time and money spent to repair. I do not recommend this dealership. I will not be returning. read more

Sales guy had to "Check with the manager" on a price. He came back and said "Yes we have a deal at that price if you do it today". Within minutes the price was 259.00 higher than agreed on. Left. Emailed asked him why, he skirted the issue saying he didn't check with the manager. I emailed and said "Yes you did, you walked away and said you had to check with your manager, you came back and said yes we have a deal at that price if you do it today". He NEVER wrote back. Apparently he "thought" I forget EAXACTLY what he said. read more

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Never ever EVER come here. My fiancée and I came here to purchase a car using ALL the money we had and got SCREWED over. After signing the contract and driving off the lot, not five minutes later, a seal from the windshield flew off and hit the car behind her. Thank god no one got hurt. They have NO communication skills, they completely neglected to tell my fiancée that they would mail her the title to the car and we wasted our time and gas driving to the DMV for NO REASON. They told us that the car wasn't in an accident and yet when we took the car to a mechanic, in less than 15 minutes, he found so many problems with the damn car. At NO point did the dealership mention anything that our mechanic found including a poorly fixed rear-end, damage to the right front rims, poorly installed front windshield seal, crack in the front windshield, corrosion on the battery, dry rotted rear tires, wrong sized door seal among others. These people just want to make a sale and don't give a rat's a** about what happens after you hand over the money, sign the contract and drive off their lot. I WILL NOT be recommending this place to ANYONE. read more

They should change the name of this place to AUTO UNAPPROVED. My wife & I stopped here because we wanted to trade in our old minivan for a newer used minivan with less miles. She saw a one she liked on their web site. So we drove down to check it out. At first we didn't see the vehicle that we we're interested in. So we went in & spoke with sales rep Bill. He told us that the van was being worked on because of a small dent in back door. We were introduced to the manager Kenny who PROMISED us that as soon as the car was done he would bring it to our house to check it out. He said it would be done in about a week. Well that week ended up taking close to 3 weeks. He called me up & asked if we would be interested instead in a Dodge Journey instead of the Dodge Grand Caravan that we we're waiting to see. I said NO & that I wanted him to bring it to our house so my wife and I could check it out. I told him to contact my wife to set up the details. Kenny evidently doesn't know the meaning of honoring a promise because he never called my wife & never brought us the van to check out. We have called him numours times requesting to see the van each time he has refused. We we're promised by Bill & the receptionist that Kenny would call us back but to date hasn't called us back except the one time to try & sell us another vehicle. What I'm guessing happened is someone else came in after us & they took a deposit from them & they sold it for more money. We noticed on the website that they jacked the price up $1000 since the repair. As far as I'm concerned this is bait be& switch cause they baited us with an offer then switched the price. I eventually got in touch with Kenny who told me that is exactly what happened they took a deposit from another buyer & sold it at a higher price. Problem with that is we told them that we wanted the van & that our deposit was our trade. I have asked Kenny to have the owner call me on several occasions but he has refused to do that. DON'T BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP that doesn't care about the customers & the promises it makes. DON'T trust Kenny & Bill because all you will get from these 2 is a bunch of lies & run around. This place was nothing but a waste of time. Sadly Kenny lives right across the street from us & dropping the car off would have been easy as pie. read more
