If I had the option to leave a review in the realm of negative numbers I would. I purchased a vehicle "as is" with the agreement that the front bumper would be fixed. I took the car back for repairs and afterwards had an insanely loud noise that was difficult to pinpoint where it was coming from. Having no warranty or clue where the noise was coming from I never called autoproved. When I could finally afford to have the car looked at the shop told me that the under guard had no clips attached. Driving off I still had a rattle. When arriving at home I tapped the right front fender and could hear pieces knocking around. I pulled them out, a clip, and 2 pieces I have no clue what they are. After pulling those parts out, I still heard the rattling. Looking underneath to see where they "fixed " the bumper they failed to put clips back there as well. The shop who fixed under guard suggested I give the bill to autoproved. I did just that and words cannot express how badly I was treated as a customer. I was first told that they had no way to prove that the shop I took it to didn't cause the problem. Attaching clips underneath had zero to do with pieces in fender or missing clips on bumper. I'm a widow, vulnerable in that I'm not proficient in knowing the dos and don'ts in purchasing a vehicle. I paid 70$ for parts and labor and they refused to compensate me. I was first told that they would not because 3 months had passed since I purchased the car. I checked and I was literally one day under. I informed them of that fact and was then told that I would still not receive a refund. After telling me the reason no refund being given was due to being over 3 months, I was told I simply would not get a refund due to the principal. If principal is at hand here, then to literally say a policy was thus and then deny abiding by it shows without question that their principal behavior lacks customer service, compassion, empathy, and they have horrendous quality service. I am not an argumentative person. I'm a financially struggling widow and despite informing the individual at autoproved about my circumstances, I was lied to and told that principal is what was making them both lie and show zero consideration to their failures in "fixing " the bumper and failing to clip the guard back in place. I'm a bit wiser now concerning the dos and don'ts in purchasing a car and I will never consider going back to them if my life depended on it. Principal would have me rather die first. I implore you, if you're considering going there and are reading this review that is the first I've ever left, do not go to this dealership. Bought new tires at Pep Boys, had them aligned at Pit Stop. 5000 miles later I went to Pep Boys for a rotation and the mechanic showed me the wear on the inner rear tread. My new tires were balded already! Pep Boys put the car on their machine, and showed me how badly the rear was misaligned! Pep Boys said there was no way that road conditions could have caused the problem. According to Pep Boys, only an incompetent alignment could have ruined my tires. Furthermore, when I went to Pit Stop to document the problem, they talked in circles and were very harsh. They refused my $63 refund after their own report showed that I walked out the door with bad alignment! I have all the paperwork and an expert mechanic's written statement of the bad alignment. Next stop for Pit Stop is small claims court This is costing me new tires, days off and all kinds of aggravation; I will be compensated. And I will update this review. read more

Great info from staff. Quick service. I was very pleased with my experience for my annual inspection.

I had an 8 am appointment for an oil change so I dropped my car off the night before. When I got a ride back there at 1:30 pm, they still hadn't started. I returned at 3:15 pm and still had to wait. I didn't leave with my car until 4 pm. That was after they kept me waiting for about 15 minutes until they figured out how to ring up the Groupon so I could pay the $1.95 in tax. Their sign says no appointment necessary, but even with an appointment, it took 8 hours for an oil change. Yikes! Not sure it was worth the money I saved on the Groupon. I can't comment on the quality of their work, but I won't return to find out either. read more

They're great!!!! I came across their coupons on Groupon a few months back and used them for my inspection. Completely Painless! Their customer service is Fantastic! And they work hard to make sure they get the job done promptly and accurately. They don't treat their customers like they're just "work;" They actually care about them. I don't trust very many people with my car being that I have a young child but from the 1st day that I walked in there they won me over and have gained not only my trust but a loyal relationship and I have gone there for everything that I needed since then. If I could give them zero stars, i would, but since they changed my oil , i won't. The mechanic for some reason could not find the massive hole in my ac's evaporator system even with a ton of dye all over the place. I even asked the shop if he had pulled the glove box and cabin filter to see if they check where it was located. After hems and haws, I got a we will get back to you, which I have yet to receive b.c. e a call 3 weeks later. I went to Halye's Auto on 222 in Maxatawny, PA. They had it diagnosed fix and repaired under my warranty in two days. The other thing that had me steamed is that on my warranty paper,which they had, they tried to tell me that it was no good. I bought a 3 yr/36k warranty. I put 20k on the car and by ought it last year. The warranty was valid. The parts and la NJ or were covered, less tax and deductible. I requested a diagnosis for the front end of my Dakota. They did not detect why the front end could not be aligned. The tech noted a loose shock, but did not tighten it. After I paid they told me they couldn't align the truck. They charged an extra fifty dollars to trouble shoot. Total was over $150.00 and the truck pulled to the left. J and B Auto right next door is a far better shop. Please do not bring anything here for an alignment. read more

Fraud business. Will not come back. I brought my car over for a state inspection. Owner/manager Chuck said my windshield wipers "leave streaks after 3 wipes" and it would cost me about $70 to install new ones. I told him they were new and i have another pair in the trunk which i can intall them. He said in order for him to pass me i must have the service done with him. He said that's the state policy. I then called PA depart of transportation for verification, they said I have the right to install my own windshield wipers. I told him that and he passed me. Will not come back. read more

Extremely overpriced. Found a groupon for them to get my Ford F-150 inspected. Brought the truck in and they told me the bill was going to be about $1200 for two front struts and two new ball joints...after reaching out to my network of friends and other mechanics, I was told that price was extremely high and told them to do nothing and I'd take my truck somewhere else. I had the work done some place else for $600.. where is the extra $600 in labor coming from??? Also since they initially failed my truck for inspection, now that I already paid the $27 Groupon and got my truck fixed, they refuse to put the sticker on my truck without charging me a re-inspection fee. I refuse to give Pit Stop another dime!!! Last time I take any of my three vehicles there... place is a rip off. read more

Had a great experience. I went with a Groupon a bit hesitant from reviews. The waiting room isn't anything over inviting, it's your basic car shop with a tv to pass the time. My car was inspected in less than an hour. I'm sure they could've found menial things to change/charge me for - but they didn't, no scams! They also provided knowledge about the oil I need for my Nissan Altima. They are an honest business. If you are looking for a shady inspector to "just" pass your unsafe 1999 vehicle, look elsewhere! Stopped by for a oil change and state inspection, they found $1000 worth of stuff wrong w/ my car. In fact if took them 1-1/2 hrs to come up w/ an estimate. When i told them no thanks, i will take back to the dealer for a job that big, they got mad. Of course the small stuff, like plugging tires they did- WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION, so i was forced to pay for that...they failed the inspection. I took my car back to the dealer so i could have it inspected and fixed, there was NOTHING WRONG with my car. So, what else did they make up??? They scam you into buying more. They are very nice but they rack up a list of things wrong. 1 thing never existed on my car and they told me it was bad/I failed for it. I just dont trust them. I took my vehicle to this shop on a Saturday morning for an oil change and tire change for roughly $70. By Sunday morning with no previous indications of any issues with the car, my engine was making a disturbing noise. Upon taking it back to the shop and informing them it wasn't having any problems before they touched it, they told me there was nothing they could do and presented me with a $ 1600 estimate for a timing chain that wasnt apparent at any time prior. FYI the vehicle was a Dodge Charger. Let me add they took no responsibility and labeled it a "coincidence". You be the judge. I'd take my business elsewhere! read more

Never going to Pit Stop again & strongly DO NOT recommend to anyone. Pit Stop just tries to make money from you. (Although being warned by my friend) - I went for State Inspection with a $25.00 Groupon coupon, knowing that everything is fine as my car is only 3 years old with less than 45K miles on it.. Pit Stop guys hammered thrice on the rear trans mount to make it move (I was watching this) & then mentioned - since it moves its a problem which is very common problem with Nissan & tried to make me shell out $200/- to get it fixed, after trying to offer me best rate & 10% discount. When I said not now - they said - they will have to fail my car's inspection (& that is what I told to do), as I knew they are doing this on purpose just to make money from me. After their shop, I went to 2 others places & both said there is no issue with the car to pass the state inspection & I got the State Inspection done from the second one. read more

Stay away from here. They claim to fix things that are wrong but don't perform the fix correctly. They will put a sticker on your vehicle for inspection and it may still have safety issues that could cause you serious harm. They will not lubricate anything during an "oil/filter/lube" service. I've had three different vehicles there for years of routine maintenance and have since gone to another automotive repair shop only to find out that the ball joints that were greasable have never been greased and Pit Stop installed them 2 years ago for me. I have also found out front end work and brake work they have performed was not done correctly and hence I've had to replace brakes with only 3000 miles on them. Overall they have cost me over $4500 in repairs that they claimed to do right the first time. Do not trust these people with your vehicles!!! read more

Great service, amazing people. My family and I are from NY and took a family day trip to Dorney Park on 7/24/17. On our way to the park my son blew a tire and while we were at the park I googled where to get a new tire before we made the trip back to NY. Pit stop Tire and Auto Center had amazing reviews so I decided to give them a call to check if they had my tire size available. The gentleman over the phone (Jeff) took my tire size information and called me back when he located my tire. When I arrived to Pit Stop Tire and Auto Center the tire size I had given Jeff was incorrect. Jeff went above and beyond to get me the correct tire size. He took a trip to Pep Boys to get me a new tire under the pouring rain and then the mechanic replaced my tire. All this took place minutes before they were due to close for the day and Jeff, Denise and the mechanic worked until my tire was replaced so that I would make it back to NY safely. I highly recommend Pit Stop Tire and Auto Center because the folks here are the real deal and give new meaning to the word humanitarians. I've heard of mechanic shops that take advantage of women shoppers but never have I witnessed it until now. I bought this groupon for my wife to do her annual inspection. I thought we were getting a great deal, until my wife called me to say how they completely ripped her off. Her car had just been fully serviced and prepped for inspection by a well known certified mechanic right in the area. Yet, this company decided to charge her $50 to change 2 light bulbs and rotate her tires which were all BRAND NEW. Installed by her vehicle's manufacturer less than one month ago. First of all, when did tire rotation become a mandatory part of vehicle inspection? Fraud alert! You have to remove tires to check the brakes anyway. Then you can put them back on in any order you see fit. That's called good business practice where I come from. There shouldn't be an extra charge for it. Worse yet, one of the light bulbs that they had to replace required them to remove the left headlamp assembly and in putting it back, they left it completely misaligned. Spoke with one of their staff on Saturday for them to clear up the charges. He quickly refunded the $10 for the tire rotation because at first glance its obvious to even the most novice mind that the tires are new and did not require "rotation" service. As for the other charges, he claimed to not be able to pull the "official" paperwork until Monday (11/7/16) so I should return then to clear it up. Fraud alert #2!! Isn't "paperwork" all in the computer now? Hmm.. How were you able to print out the receipt and refund me $10 for the rotation but you can't speak on any of the other charges or the damage to the headlamp assembly till Monday? Sounds to me like you guys need time to get your story straight. I hope to God you get investigated fully for this because taking advantage of women like this is a sin. You will NEVER see business from us again. I think Groupon should also consider not advertising for you guys because it's quite possible that you just had to charge my wife for something else since she had the groupon deal. I don't know. Either way, We're incredibly disappointed with your service. Don't worry about us showing up Monday for your unavailable paperwork explanation either. We have better things to occupy our time with; for example, forwarding this complaint to the better business bureau. Good day. read more

They charged me for a brand new battery, 6 month later my car was having issues again and had it looked at by someone else who told me it was the battery I told them it was brand new.
