Horrible!!! Used them for possibly 5 yrs servicing 4 different cars. They are good at general mechanics. But complex, No!!! Here are 4 situations that made me see new mechanics: 1.) 8 yrs ago, I overheated the engine and cracked the block on my 1984 Landcruiser. They rebuilt the engine, for about $8,000.00. While in the process, Tim claimed the bottom did not need rebuilding. So they closed up the engine. But I was now burning oil. 2 Qts/ 500 miles. They refused to fix the problem. Tim blamed that I told them to not rebuild the bottom end of the engine. (Ask him about it!) 2.) Just last month, Feb 2026, the catalytic converter on my Landcruiser started to fail. They installed that about 6yrs ago, for about $1,200.00. 3.) 2006 V70,Volvo had a small radiator leak. I brought it in each of the 2 times the Low Level light went on. Each time, they could not find the leak. The 3rd time I brought it in was because the radiator blew and the car overheated. I told them to check that I had not cracked the block before repairing the radiator. They repaired the radiator first., about $1,200.00. Then determined the block was cracked. (Rebuild by Swedish Motors was $6,000.00.) 4.) 2009 S80 Volvo. Had them look at this car to see if it was safe to buy, for my 17yr old daughter. The results of their inspection was "it's in great shape". 1 yr later the transmission went. And I found out that this was the one yr Volvo used a Ford impala transmission. No replacement parts, used or rebuilt transmissions were available, per Swedish Motors. I had to scrap the car. When I confronted Tim and Tyler that they should have known this about this model they said that was something I should have known about the car. I just picked up my Jeep Grand Cherokee from Autosport after the Check Engine light came on. After the diagnosis, I was told it was a misfire and they would have to change spark plugs and swap the ignition switch wiring, and all would be fixed. I was charged $1042.91 and the engine light is still on, and no one seems to know what the problem really is! Labor alone was $788.58. The mechanic mentioned they might have to do deep dive and could cost me thousands more. The Jeep has 72500 miles on it. I fully expected my car to be repaired, and it's not, and Autosport has really no clue what is wrong. I have heard great things about them, but this is not right. read more

I had been using auto sport for a while and only had one previous mishap but my most recent visit was terrible!! I will not be going there ever again. They didn't fix the problem that I had asked them to fix and they found other items that didn't need fixing. I was charged over $1800 and my car is in worse shape. They then proceeded to tell me that I hadn't explained the problem correctly! They didn't test drive the car beforehand and had no idea what to fix even though they had looked at the problem months before. Please be advised that they are dishonest at best. read more

Very helpful and thorough, had 2 cars inspected by them ( so far) before buying and AutoSport saved us a lot of grief down the road Got a very detailed report from them and really feel like they are honest and not trying to make money off of us! Looks like I can't say much more than what has already been said but in short these guys are great- trustworthy which in the auto world is very rare. Every time I've been to AutoSport, I have been thoroughly impressed. Beyond just solving my problems, the staff is informative and can break things down for me (someone who has absolutely zero car knowledge) in a way that's impactful and not condescending. They helped me learn what's going on with my car and how I can solve the issue myself to prevent another trip so I could save money. i bought a car in Longmont driving from Canon city. the motor was bad and the customer service from the start was awesome like no other shop I've been to. super friendly, refreshments and snacks. I had to go back to canon city and they held my car for 2 weeks till I was able to come back and get it. huge shoutout to them they saved me a lot of money and time. would def recommend this shop over any other one in Longmont. read more

Auto Sport is a great foreign car service here in Longmont! Frank and the guys are extremely friendly and good natured. They also know what they are doing. I wouldn't take my Audi anywhere else in town. I was sorry to see a previous, bad rating for their shop. I have been in the service industry, and must remind everyone out there that there are always one-off difficult customers and difficult projects. I can't say that I know the previous reviewer or his situation, but I can say that every business in the world has some experience in the past like this. Auto Sport is fantastic. I drug in a 1970 VW Bug that had been rotting in a field for years, and these guys made it work good as new. They replaced/repaired the electrical system, carburetor, generator, clutch, and the entire break system. They always call before doing taking action against unscheduled problems to ask if I want it done. I feel respected and "in the loop" about what was going on with my car. I won't take my Bug anywhere else. read more

Hidden gem in Longmont! I am so glad I took my car here. As I pulled up to AutoSport my car literally died as I was trying to park. Tyler immediately came out to see what was going on and what needed to be done. At first he thought he wouldn't be able to fit my car in the schedule for that day, but was able to pull some kind of a miracle and get my car done the same day. Mark replaced my battery, alternator, some belts and hoses on my car and was nice enough to show me everything that was needing replaced. I work part time as a mechanic for a private car collector at a local garage in the Longmont area. I had recently purchased a classic vehicle (1988 Porsche 928) and began going through it to make sure it would be a dependable and good vehicle to drive. Although it was German and requred some specific knowledge and extra expense to maintain - I began restoring it. One area of the vehicle I could not check and service myself - due to the need of special equipment required, was the factory air conditioning. I had heard that Marc at Auto Sport in Longmont, was very sharp and good when working on european makes - in fact, we had sent a Mercedes from our shop's owner over to Marc to troubleshoot and repair the air conditioner. He was able to correctly diagnose the problem and restore the AC system to working order - all in a short amount of time and at a reasonable repair cost. I decided to take my vehicle to Auto Sport and have the AC checked for leaks and any other problems that prevented it from blowing cold air and operating as designed, I spoke to Frank (the sevice manager) who said they could check it and repair it as needed. He gave me a verbal estimate of ~ $350 - $450 to properly leak check the system and check it over. I made an appointment and dropped off the car early Monday morning. Late Tuesday afternoon, I received a call from Frank who informed me that they had found a few leaks aroung the AC conversion fittings and an O-ring. He added that the repair would increase the original estimate to ~ $550 - $650. I stated that this was fine - and I just wanted the AC to work properly without leaks. On Wednesday, Frank called and reported that they had checked the rear (supplimental) AC and found no leaks - but a primary line/hose was leaking on the main AC. The part was available, but would need to be shipped. A $20 fee for overnight shipping was available if I wanted to receive it sooner. Cost of the line would be $148. He would figure out the labor and let me know later. I agreed to this as well. Frank also assured me that the vehicle would be kept inside at night. I called Thursday - they had received the new part and would begin installing it and should have the car ready to pick up on Friday. I called Friday afternoon and was informed that the line was installed but they were currently charging the battery - as the ignition key was apparently in or; left on during the night and discharged the battery - He wanted to ensure it was fully charged. So, I got a ride over to pick up the car late Friday afternoon. Frank had said earlier that the AC was blowing ~ 50 degrees - but seemed to blow cooler when driving. The rear AC blower was also now working . The total bill was $1224.69. I informed Frank that I was expecting the bill to be ~ $850 from our last conversation. He stated that the higher amount was due to the labor entailed. I said O.K. and paid the full amount in cash - stating that I was just happy they got things fixed and that my AC would now work. Not the case. I started the car, turned the AC on and noticed the air was barely cool. In addition, the main diagnostic (trouble) indicator light was on - and would not reset as it normally does after a check. I drove the car for a few miles thinking maybe the air would get cooler - it became hotter. I tried the rear AC blower. It came on for about 30 seconds the shut down. At this point, I returned to Auto Sport and caught both Marc and Frank just before closing. I stated that the AC was still not working, the diagnostic light would not reset and that the rear AC blower only worked for about 30 seconds. They both said there was nothing thay could do now - other than rmaybe re-check the pressure on Monday. So I left feeling very unsatisfied after paying over $1200 and having the same problem I had when I came in a week earlier. I drove the car home hoping the AC would come on "cold" - but it didn't. Over the weekend I checked all the electrical connectors in the areas where work was done and was able to get the diagnostic light to finally reset. I also noticed a small white scrape below the bump strip on the passenger door. I was able to rub it out with rubbing compound. I had left 2 factory manuals on the AC in the vehicle for Marc to reference if needed. Both were gone. Over the weekend, I began reading forums on AC problems and found many involving the failure of a heater control valve and how it would cause the AC to blow warm and hot air. On Monday morning, I returned to Auto Sport and informed them that I felt the problem was simply a bad heater control valve. Both were pretty much non-responsive. I picked up my 2 manuals and left, informing Frank that I should have test driven the car before paying him over $1200. I installed a new heater control valve myself and the AC now blows ~ 35 degrees ! read more
